Climb Credit Reviews

Awful company both for students and schools. We thought they would help our students but quite the opposite. They charged the wrong amounts. Lots of errors. When COVID shut us down for a few months Climb used that as a reason to take the money we had accrued in our pool. It didn't matter that we were offering online classes and should have been eligible to hit our targets with online classes. They wouldn't count them. Not playing fair. Terrible to work with. Other schools are angry too. Using them is a big regret, never again.
Hi Laurie, we're sorry that you had a negative experience during the COVID shutdown. During that time we were doing our best to ensure that students attending all of our partner programs were supported and getting the education they expected. This led us to pause relationships with certain career paths (as you noted) until we could get a clear understanding of how students would be able to succeed without attending classes in person. I spoke with our team, and confirmed that we did discuss this with you and share the same goal of coming to a resolution or moving you to a different financing product. If you would like to discuss that further we would be happy to connect with you again. Again, we apologize for the circumstances of the COVID shutdown and unfortunate timing.

I agreed with Springboard to only pay $680 but Climb Credit is refusing to accept the amount that I owe. Instead I’m in $1,298 debt because of Climb. They don’t care about the students they only care about is money. And even if you pay the amount on time interest will continue to increase your balance. I went from $680 to $1,298!
Hi Manuel, we're sorry to hear that you've had a negative experience. I know our team was able to get in touch with you to help resolve this, and if you have any additional questions we would ask you to contact Climb's loan servicer, UAS, to discuss the matter further: (844) 870-8701.

Applying for Climb Credit was an easy process. I was approved quickly. I am grateful that financial assistance was available.

I used Climb over a year ago to get into a coding program in hopes to finally find a more successful career. The program that I chose unfortunately treated me extremely unfairly due to my less then favorable situation. I've have been trying to reach out to Climb and the organization to resolve this debt. However when speaking with Climb representatives I've have been told on numerous occasions that someone would look into my situation and I would receive a call back. Here I am over a year later still trying to do my due diligence in trying to resolve this situation. Between Climb and the program I went through I still can't get any valid reason for being terminated. Climb claims to "vet" the programs they partner with. Yet in the unfortunate situation when things go awry they refuse to get in contact with me to try an solve issues

I called Climb earlier today and pressed option 1. The rep I had on the phone was terrible! Talked to me like I was his friend with no respect at all. He cut me when I was speaking. Then he had a selective understanding of what I was saying. He transferred my call to a supervisor who was « in a meeting ». I got the rep back and he told me someone will contact me. Then he hanged out on me without saying goodbye. I called back and chose option 2. Better experience with the rep. So the star I give is not for the company itself but to my first rep I got on the phone! Very disappointed!

Doing the Climb application for General Assembly was extremely easy. I was able to apply and get a decision on a Friday evening going into the holidays. It really gave me a peace of mind that my school finances were settled before too much time surpassed. Thank you for the service!

This company has low ratings for a reason. Very slow, no responses to voice mails or emails, only a few people answering the phones who have scripted and unhelpful responses. They are declining people with very low DTI and high credit scores. Very rude customer service when challenged.
Hi Steph, thank you for your feedback — we're sorry to hear you've had a negative experience! A team member will be reaching out soon to help work through this.

I applied for a loan through climb credit through aapc, i contacted them before classes started and before i got the loan to cancel because i wasnt able to attend classes, i never attended the class and never even created a login to get materials for the class, they took two months to finally respond and then still tried to charge me $300 for a book they sent, i hadnt touched the book either and returned it, they said if i had returned it all charges would be dropped and they lied. I check my credit and its dropped 109 points, ive been in contact with these people and aapc several times through email and recorded calls. WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND to anyone. Please find someone else to go through, these people only care about ripping you off.

After deciding to take a Bootcamp class I had to make the decision as to how I was going to pay for the class. Thankfully Climb made their application process very easy from start to finish. I knew my terms within a day and was able to accept via electronic signature. My Credit Union wasn't available to be connected during the application process but it was still approved quickly. The only dissatisfaction I had was there was little communication between being approved and when the loan would be deposited. The New Years holiday slowed the process down a bit. All in all it was a great experience and I would recommend them for any students needs.
Hi Desiree, Thank you so much for leaving a review! We're glad to hear that you had a positive experience, and we appreciate your feedback about the communication between approval and deposit.

Climb is a great support system. A lender, that does not put interest on your loan(s) and allows you a convenient, practical way to pay them back that does not hurt your wallet. I am grateful to them, it it was not for CC I would not be able to pursue my degree.
