Absolutely terrible experience dealing with Christian Financial. I have been using my Banks Bill pay to make the payments since 2019. Suddenly starting the past 3 months there is a delay or problem with the same system which they quickly report to the credit bureau and ruin my credit due to there internal issues. I will never deal with this financial institution again nor will I ever advise anyone I know to deal with them.

I have been a member for 30 years. With this newest update I decided to try the check deposit feature because of the convenience. What a nightmare. If you work hard for your money and you need your money don't waste your time. I deposited on a Friday after 3 p.m. Got the email saying the check was approved on monday morning. Checked my account and it's not in my account. Called and was told it will go in at 4 p.m. I checked it was still not there, so I called again and was told 4:30. Checked at that time and it was deposited but only partially released, they hold 2/3 rds of the check an additional two days. Nowhere on the site does it say this, and none of the times I called did they tell me this. DO BETTER BY YOUR MEMBERS CHRISTIAN FINANCIAL.

The loan department( collections) will constantly harass you to make a loan payment. I will pay when I have the funds. Things are tight for people. Have some compassion. I may be a little late but it will get paid. Calling and making people feel even worse, is not cool.

Been with them since High School (and they were SERF credit union). I got my first car loan here eons ago and just paid my last car loan off. They offer a lot of services including credit cards, personal loans, IRA accounts, numerous and convenient branches with ATM's, coin machines and drive thru banking. Online banking is easy to use and when I've had issues, I've been answered promptly. When I've visited the branch with questions, problems or changes, I have been treated with courtesy. Yes, sometimes I have had to wait at the branch for help, but I usually don't make an appointment so it's first come, first served. Would recommend.

Hello... I am a long time member of Christian Financial Credit Union, I am honestly disappointed with how my problem was resolved today, actually it wasn't resolved. I am not sure how you are training people in your collections department but you guys need to teach them proper customer service. I called in with a problem 3 times this morning with my loan and questions regarding my overdraft, Asked to speak with a Supervisor and no one ever contacted me back. The fact that the representative I was speaking with showed no type of understanding, or would not even let me get out a sentence really is crazy to me. You guys are just hiring anyone huh?? The fact that it's Labor Day weekend and nobody had any care in the world to follow up with me looks super bad. The fact that I know that the people that work there don't care enough about members and would rather disregard them or make fun of them and don't always go above and beyond is beyond me especially when they're in higher up positions that should require them to go above and beyond. With that being said hopefully I get a call back soon so I can discuss with the SUPERVISOR my account and the reason why my account is the way how it is so I can have my questions answered. 🤦

Never in my life have I ever had a bank tell me I have to make an appointment to open up an account I was referred to a friend but I will never do business nor do I recommend anyone to do business with this bank or credit union

Don’t waste your time! I’ve had the worst year and a half of my life of banking with this bank. Overdrafted my account when I don’t even have overdraft which is ridiculous. Can’t help me when I got scammed out of 4K like what’s the point. Taking money out of my account without my authorization and claiming I have automatic payment when I’ve literally been paying my own payment from the website since I started at this bank. Spoke to someone who said they were sending me documents claimed I have automatic payment and never received documents to prove I have it from this place ever. I don’t know what happened from the time I started(which was great) or somewhere it went wrong and now I’m having the worst experience of my life with this bank. Switching banks to one that helps me when I’m in need and don’t take money out of my account whenever they feel like they need to. My fiancé have extra credit union and they have helped him out so much and that’s where I’m going goodbye Christian financial!!!!

I recently opened accounts at CFCU. I was with another Credit Union across the state, and was tired of doing business online or over the phone with them. I had used CFCU as a shared branch and their friendly smiling faces were always pleasant to deal with, so I opened savings and checking accounts with CFCU. It's such a good feeling to sit down and talk face to face, you really get to feel like you know someone. It reminds me of the small town banking I grew up with ( I'm 68 now). I'm happy with my choice.

Joe was extremely helpful and kind in guiding us through the process of changing credit unions, securing an auto loan etc. We enjoyed working with him. He is very knowledgeable and efficient. He followed through and completed everything in a timely manner. (Just to clarify…it was Joe B at the Lakeside branch).

I have been with CFCU for years and always bragged on how great they were. Our entire family has slowly switched over to CFCU. I am not sure what happened through the years, but it hasn't been for the better of the credit union. I applied for a debt shed loan, which after speaking with the branch manager, turned into a HELOC. I felt great about talking with her, I felt as if this was going to be a positive step. I can be impatient, so I made it a point NOT to bother the obviously busy manager and simply wait to hear from her regarding my loan approval. 9 days later I get an email asking me "Do you still want this loan?" The branch manager, although she came up with multiple excuses, had completely forgot about me. I expressed my complete unhappiness with this and instead of accepting responsibility and telling me that my app slipped through the cracks (which I would have understood) instead she called me multiple times explaining to me how it was my fault. She became very condescending and telling me how I can't just get a HELOC I have to provide paperwork, all of which we had talked about 10 days ago, all of which was already in her email. She dropped the ball, refused to accept any responsibility and by the time all was said and done denied me the loan she had previously told me I was eligible for. I took it as a sign that my financial relationship with CFCU should not be expanding. I will pay off this current car loan, as I did with the last two car loans, and will simply not use their financial services. I am very disappointed in the direction CFCU has taken the last few years, this was just the icing on the cake, so to speak.

They will charge you for over drafting even when you have money in your account and never over drafted in the first place. I had over 100$ in my checking account, made three purchases that were well under 100$ total and the credit union charged me 3 overdraft fees and pulled the money from my saving account into my checking. Even on the website it shows that I had no pending charges, and that they pulled from my saving into my checking without ever removing the money in my checking account. Now that sounds like theft to me! I have been with CFCU my whole life, and now I'm switching.
