Chemical Bank S State St, Ann Arbor

Would score ZERO. Since the merge to TCF bank, the website is awful. Using my ChemBank un & pw, it gave me error. On the phone you can't get in touch with a person. Wait times are ridiculous.... I waited about 30 minutes the first time I tried to call and she transferred me which put me into another 60+minute queue. Hung up. Next time I called, I waited for 90 minutes while I was doing other work around the house. No answer, got sick of waiting. Now I need to drive an HOUR just to get information about my loan because the office is now forwarding to the TCF toll free number.

I have been a customer of this bank for over 25 years through several different bank organizations/mergers. The fact that at least one person is still there who knows my name and is as helpful as possible is the only reason I am still a customer. As for online banking and website people, it could not be worse. I do not remember the last time I was able to check into my account online without some assistance. I am waiting for that assistance now.

Beautiful bank, very disappointing service. Waited in the lobby for about 30 minutes waiting to speak to a banker. Then the teller approached me telling me the banker cannot see me today because shes having technical issues but it was a really bad excuse at them not seeing me so they can close on time. I could overhear the banker wrapping up with the customer she was with and it was just really irritating getting sent home without a minute of the bankers time. Customer service needs to improve here.

Absolutely gorgeous bank. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Horrible customer service. Always long delays. No managers in branches. No response to customer requests. Their online bill pay subtracts the payment immediately regardless of whether or not the check has been cashed. Avoid at all costs.

I made the mistake of opening a home equity line of credit with Chemical Bank in the Spring of 2018. I completely paid it off 6 months later based on their specified payoff amount and procedures, but they misapplied that amount between interest and principal (they over applied the payment to principal by $7.11). They then sent me to collections for $7.11 and filed negative marks on my credit report, even months after admitting it was an accounting error on their part. These people are nearly criminally incompetent at every level. I wouldn't trust them with my children's piggy banks.

I’ve been with this bank for a long, long time. Way back before Talmer merger. Be VERY CAREFUL if u have a loan here. In fact, MOVE IT NOW!!!! Plus, customer service has dropped off a cliff. Moving 8+ accounts away from them this week!

Friendly staff, clean office, and great products. What more could you ask for.
