Our experience with Charter Title and Escrow was incredibly frustrating and I would recommend to find another title company for your home sale/purchase. Particularly: 1) They had the numbers incorrect on our final settlement and had to resend them the day our home purchasers were closing. 2) Their Lincoln and Omaha offices apparently did not communicate that it was a simultaneous closing (although we and our realtor had made it abundantly clear), and the Escrow Officer was unavailable to communicate with to get our wire transfers sent to close on our new home. 3) The first wire transfer was sent incorrectly because SOMEONE CHANGED our wiring instructions. Thankfully, the receiving bank rejected it and kicked it back after a couple of hours. 4) We spent 5+ extra hours at our closing waiting for Charter Title to fix their mishaps at each turn, on a holiday weekend hoping to finish before the banks closed. The only bright spot of this whole fiasco was Justine, who did her best to understand my frustration and fix the situation. I would strongly recommend not using Charter Title and Escrow for any real estate needs.

Never would use this company again. I signed papers to close on a house I sold on November 21st. The buyers signed the paperwork on November 26th. Verbiage in paperwork was changed without my permission or my approval for roof replacement timeline. The paperwork I signed stated work must be completed and excess money returned to estate account by December 26th. Buyer wanted "weather permitting" added to paperwork, which I did not authorize. Charter Title changed the wording without my permission. The buyer refuses to have roof replaced until the weather is 45 degrees day and night for five days. Now probate is on hold until possibly spring. I spoke with the president of the company and he was not the least bit helpful. My attorney is now involved.

Wouldn't go anywhere else!!! Kelsey Edstrom was AWESOME!!!
