I understand that with any lender there will be problems, and there are plenty I would not even call. However, I had bad credit a few years ago when I tried to purchase my car and Challenge was the only one to approve me. My experience with them has been a positive one. Once they called me to ask if I was still happy with the car and if everything was ok with it. I thought that was nice. Another time I received a call letting me know I qualified for being financed again. Obviously I'll take a break from car payments, but I would not hesitate to do business again with Challenge. Thank you for a good experience!

Do not use challenge for your loan. My wife has been with them for 4 years and all the staff are very rude including her rep Javier. She has always made her payment on time and has only made 1 deferment through the entire loan. She called today to see if she could settle the balance for what she's paid due to financial hardships and the balance almost being paid off and they weren't willing to work with her at all even though 95% of the loan has been paid.

Do not finance your car with these people! I went to them last year, on behalf of my fiancé. He had bad credit and so I went in to co-sign for him. While there, they informed me my credit was better and it would be best if I just got the car under my name and excluded him. I refused because this car wasn’t for myself—I don’t even have a driver's license. They continued trying to adjust the contract and I expressed I wanted to wait for my fiancé (he was at work at the time). Keep in mind, this was in Riverside and I’m from L.A.—I had to be back in L.A. that day and couldn’t go back to Riverside until further notice, so I wanted to get this handled that day. Knowing this, they told me if I chose to wait for my fiancé until another day, they’d have to void the contract and start all over. I made the biggest mistake and signed my part. Fast forward, we began incurring extra charges and fees we didn’t know about up front. The car began breaking down, we found out there was a recall on one of the parts already in the car and because of that faulty part, my fiancé got into an accident on the second week. We then had a baby and because my fiancé had paid 6 months in advance and we were caught up welcoming our newborn son and getting things sorted, we forgot that month we had to resume payments. Well, it was enough for us to get the car repossessed that month because of the late payment. Challenge financial called me, being extremely aggressive and informed me I was the primary car owner and therefore, the responsible one. My credit is now completely ruined and I’ve received a letter from the franchise board, charging registration fees or else my wages will be garnished. My whole experience with challenges financial has been HORRIBLE.

Javier P. Is the best consultant at Challenge Financial. He is always there when I need him to answer any and all questions. I could not have asked for a better consultant. Javier has great customer service and I absolutely will give him 5 amazing stars. GO JAVIE!!

Worst customer service ever!!! They only have a one time help if your having financial hardship..which I know other companies have more options then just one.. They say I give you until Thursday to make a full payment and then you receive a text message saying your account is with the recovery team and its only Wednesday.. The guy Ricardo is very rude and aggressive on the phone The manager Jacqueline is very rude and unprofessional and they don't try to explain things to you properly. Worst company having to deal with there employees being unprofessional and rude..

Can't express enough how little some of their so called "supervisors" that are apparently trained to do this job know. Very horrible customer service with Jacqueline. She is unprofessional and has absolutely no knowledge about the things she speaks on. She almost had my vehicle sold because she didn't know what she was talking about. Thankfully Luis was able to straighten out her mess and I got my car back.

Extremely unprofessional extremely rude how is this even ran by the people who run them Maria Fabiola is the definition of ignorance and she probably got it from Art the so called supervisor! I can't express how unprofessional and beyond rude their customer service is I would not recommend this to anybody I mean just look at the rating it's 2.4 before I gave my review horrible you horrible horrible individuals

Worse customer service one person tells me something and the next person tells me different they don't help for anything they claim I didn't have auto insurance till I proved them wrong they should close this financial service.

used to be a good company where people like me with changed credit could get a second chance to build credit and get a care … i’m all finished with payments already but felt like i had to share . when Fred took care of me great customer service i always felt confident and open to communicate. now it’s not the same . females or females are pretty sarcastic and rude

I've been with this company for three years now. I have never missed a payment and Ive never been late making them. My rep is Oscar he sometimes calls for no reason and bugs me while I am at work, he doesn't have the best customer service all the time and seems like he hates his life/job. I sold my car to Carmax and bought a new 2022 but with a BETTER financing company. Unexpectedly I received a call from Oscar today regarding an unpaid payment. I called Carmax and was told it takes 15 days for the check to go through( it's already been 8) so when I called Oscar back, I asked to speak with his supervisor hoping to get a more professional attitude. Boy was I wrong. I was greeted by a manager named Jaclyn who was very aggressive right off the bat it seems Oscar already spoke with her and I believe this clouded her attitude towards my situation. I began to explain to her what carmax had told me, she laughed about it and said there's no way it takes 15 for a check to be processed. Basically I asked if there's anything they can do to help because they will be receiving there payment by the 5th from carmax. She rudely said she's not going to do anything for me and in fact she is going to report "my late payment" immediately the next day on the first?! So my payment is due on the 31st and she's going to report me the 1st even thought the payment will be received by the 5th??!! Horrible service from both of these reps will never finance here again and will never recommend this company.

I had a car financed through challenge and my vehicle was considered a total loss due to a car accident. The car was then paid off by gap insurance and the company did not want to pay the repair shop the storage fees. So challenge then issued a repossession so they could remove vehicle from premises after the shop was closed. Because of this my credit is affected and shows I have a repossession when I paid my payment even when the vehicle was in the repair shop waiting for insurance to go view the car. I have called and they do not have any awnser for me as to why this is on my report or even given me awnser on how to remove this.

I've called multiple times trying have the warranty on vehicle removed. They told me that they will refund the remaining balance of the warranty contract I have not used back to my account. Nothing has happened and no one ever gets back to me. Very frustrating company to work with

Very rude unprofessional customer service team Ricardo needs to be Fired.....Lack of understanding, lack of communication skills, We clear stated can we pay our car note a week later due to new employment....He stated they don't give out a grace period at all .... Come up with the payment or your car will get tooking....Like the company needs to comply with some needs of the customers concerns...... Everyone needs help every blue moon.......

Worst customer service …. They live up to there name CHALLENGE!!!!!! They charge you 9 dollars to make a payment….. straight scam …. I understand if you late on payment but to pay really…. Avoid financing with these people!

We do offer several ways to make payments free of charge, including paying by check or money order by mail, or setting up automated payments from your bank account. Other payment methods may be charged a fee by the provider (Moneygram, PayNearMe, etc.) but those are optional services and the fees go to the provider for use of that service not to Challenge Financial.

This is the most backward, underhanded, shady finance company I have ever had the misfortune of being stuck with. They’ve gotten excessive amounts of money out of me for numerous “fees” that make no sense at all. If you are looking into buying a used car please inquire about the finance company FIRST and if they work with Challenge Financial stay away. On top of everything else the customer service is TERRIBLE! I’ve never dealt with so many unprofessional people working for one company in my life. Read these reviews! They’re not wrong
