I’m not too sure why this company received so many 1star. I came from Chase and after Chase made 13 verifiable mistakes one of which they wrote us a 20 plus page apology for I have nothing but pretty good service with Carrington. They made one mistake with in the time we were with them and it was easily corrected. I will say it could have lead into a huge mistake, but I guess because it was corrected with such great customer service, and the problem was corrected in a timely manner I still have to give them 5⭐️‘S … KUDOS✨✨ TO SAMANTHA🌈 IN LOSS DRAFT WHO WENT FAR AND BETWEEN! HER LEVEL OF SERVICE IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW PEOPLE SHOULD TREAT CUSTOMERS WHO GIVE THEM JOB SECURITY.

My mortgage has been sold to this company and has been horrible ever since! I miss my old bank and there are multiple locations/states for me to make my payments. With this company, there is a charge for online payments and charge for over the phone payments. Giving the only option of mailing it in to their location with a P.O. Box in Phoenix. You have to time it just right so their outrageous fees of doubling the amount of your regular payment. I am looking for another mortgage company that is better and with more convenient locations. This company does not deserve any stars.

This company don't even deserve a star. My mortgage was sold to them and ever since its been the worst experience I ever had they allocate your payment where they see fit even when you fill out your statement properly and call you even if you have a no call on your fill. Furthermore, I never even gave them my phone number. I wish the could re-sell my mortgage. I would never recommend Carrington Mortgage to anyone

We had gotten one month behind on our mortgage. I have called them and told them when I would pay, yet they still send me to collection and call every day threatening. What is the purpose of calling and me telling them when the mortgage will be paid if they're going to keep harassing. This is the worst mortgage company ever and I will be shopping around for a new one. I would rather refinance with the higher interest rate then say with Carrington Mortgage. If anyone out there is looking for a mortgage company, anyone is better than this.

After my existing mortgage was sold to Carrington 4 months ago, I have had nothing but trouble trying to get payment set up. It is as if their business model is to make it so difficult that you will miss your mortgage payment so that they can charge late fees and penalties. As soon as I have a choice, I will stop doing business with this company.

• I have been trying to find out the exact date by when Carrington will be paying off my Real Estate Tax in 2021 • I reached out to the Tax Team 3 weeks ago and was told it would be paid W/C 25th October • As no payment had been made, I called again on 29th October • I waited 45mn on the line only to be told that Carrington had only just received the electronic Tax Invoice and had no way of knowing when payment would be made. • This is not acceptable • Time to refinance

My mortgage was transferred (Sold) from Bank Of America to Carrington a little over a year ago. At first no big deal, seamless transition. Recently however, we were finalizing a refi with another lender, and were told not to make the current months payment as a payoff request was all but approved. Due to COVID-19 the refi unfortunately fell through. Due to this we found ourselves a month behind. Carrington, being the "understanding and compassionate" company that promotes "being here to help" has refused to wave any late fees and has since berated us via phone and mail threatening foreclosure and delinquent status. We aren't even 30 days late on payment. We will be refinancing with anyone but Carrington as soon as possible. When speaking with customer service reps I was essentially told "sorry not sorry." Thanks for nothing, I would not recommend this company. There is a reason you haven't heard of them. Disregard 1 Star. Zero Stars. But couldn't post without one.

If you can avoid doing business with this company, I advise you to do so. The purchased my mortgage and have been nothing but a pain. They are extremely inefficient and can't even seem to process routing transactions in a timely matter. For example, I waited a full month for them to process a payment reversal (apply full payment to principal) that any other organization could process in 24 hours and it still wasn't completed "pending VP approval". Really? VP's have to approve routing transactions? And of course, you can't talk to anyone with authority "because they have no phones over there." 2020 ==> no phones. If that in itself isn't an indication of who you are dealing with, I don't know what to tell you.

My mortgage was sold to this company from a large bank. Since moving to Carrington it was a very poor experience. It takes two to tango, I am to blame as the day gets away from you at times and you miss something. This company does a poor job of contacting their customers if something is missed and it will let things sit until the customer finds out through their own research. We asked to contact someone in senior management to express our concern and they asked us to send a fax. That was very surprising as you can easily send concerns through e-mail or a soft copy pdf. This made me feel they were pushing this off and behind the curve.

Mortgage sold to this company from another bank. Since, I've absolutely been paying for this in a negative way. My insurance and property taxes are escrowed into my loan. Last year they paid someone else's property taxes instead of mine. Didn't find out what happened until the tax office started sending me letters saying they were going to put my property up for auction. This year. Flat out didn't pay my insurance for the property until the insurance company started billing me. Once again I had to take care of making sure my mortgage company does what they are responsible for doing as a lender. This company is equivalent to letting a 6 year old handle your money. Run from this lender.
