The Carrington Investor Advantage Program is exactly as advertised. I had an unbelievably positive experience utilizing the program and working with two wonderful employees. Veronica Adgate, my Mortgage Loan Officer, was great to work with. She gave me great information on my options and the requirements of the program. She is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable, and followed my application process through to completion. Jeff Harmon, Sr. Closing Processor, was terrific. He was very accessible, very knowledgeable and stayed on top of the process daily. I felt very supported by him and his ability to keep the process proceeding in a very timely manner. I refinanced two rental properties: a townhouse and a condo and had settlement on the townhouse in one month from the day that I first spoke to Veronica and had settlement on the condo a week later. This program is so beautifully executed. The process was accomplished electronically and by phone and with a notary coming to my location to sign settlement papers. I can not imagine a better process or outcome and plan to apply for a couple of more refinancing in the near future and definitely want to work with Veronica and Jeff again. From beginning to end, the process was so easy. My loan originator was Mandy Hardy. She was always there to take a call or make a call to keep me informed. I have had the pleasure of working with Dennis Sherman and his team. This team never lets a ball drop. Their follow through, initiative and proactive communications make the consumer's experience A+. What more can you ask for? The rate offered was competitive. They had us cleared to close a week before closing! When we encountered a hiccup at closing due to something the owner had done, the team was flexible and available to help us solve the problem quickly so we could keep things moving. The entire experience was amazing and flawless.

My experience with Carrington was uneventful for a couple of years until I wanted to make a payment by phone and found out they charge fees for paying them by phone or online. That was a surprise. I also refinanced through them during the pandemic when their workers were working from home. I'm not sure how much that impacted the quality of service but it seemed stressful on both ends. It did happen timely once we agreed to terms because I was on top of every request and they reciprocated. My biggest disappointment is that I thought sticking with the same company would give me the best rate, but it didn't. I had to ask them to match a competitor's cheaper rate. You'd think the company you are with would give you the best deal as a current client and in order to retain you. The rate shopping made me lose valuable time as rates were creeping back up. When I refinanced with my previous lender which sold my mortgage, I didn't feel like I had to have my guard up with extra costs or fees. I was also able to have my escrow account reanalyzed much faster with the previous lender. I guess there have been a few bumps in the road, but I stuck with Carrington because I didn't feel like jumping on a new learning curve and their ratings as a company are in the higher ranks. I doubt I will be needing any specialized services in the future unless interest rates go to zero percent.

Great Company to have your Mortgage with...Courteous, Polite and Very Understanding. I have had mortgages with other companies and Carrington is hands down the best.

Quick and easy to use. The website is very good. Many things can be signed digitally which greatly helps speed up the process and allow you time to review. Carrington assisted every step of the way, never was there a delay in information and I was refinancing over the Christmas holiday. Carrington has come a long way, really like them now and just could not see myself refinancing with anyone else so I kept with them.

We have been with Carrington for over 5 years now and they have great service. The only reason I gave them 4 stars out of 5 was as we were refinancing our house, we started the process back in November, and it took until February to complete this process. Everytime we had to restart, the interest changed and so did our terms. Everyone we worked with was very helpful, just a slow process, but the did help us save!

I had reached out to Carrington on several occasions to assist me to refinance my loan. so far, I have had only 3 call backs. The first loan officer to call me, was very patience on the phone and listened to my issues and complains. he took my info and explained he will have to call me back to move further with my refinance request. he noted he will send me an email with is contact info so i can reach out to him if i have further info to share. i was happy about his decision and waited but no response. throughout that week i have had other companies reaching out me and calling back with offers but as loyal as I am, I wanted to stick with Carrington. After a couple of weeks, I got a call from another loan officer. he also was patience, and a good listener so I expressed my experience with the previous officer. he was very worried and showed concern. he explained he is here to work with me and help me through the process. he also took my info and decided to reach back with more info. this time I got an email notification with his contact but didn't hear from him again. A few weeks went by, and Mike(Michael “Mike” Latimer - NMLS# 2163251) called. I gave the same spree, but this time Mike came with responds and findings. He meticulously explained into detail what my loan entails. He suggested other options and what will work for me as its by case. I’m not here to bash on the previous officers for their lack of response but to encourage anyone that takes time out of their busy schedule to respond to a request. I appreciate Mike’s business ethics, detail oriented, patience, resourceful and overall, his personality over the phone is phenomenal. Such characteristics is what makes businesses grow and trusted by their clients. Mike is a prime example of a leader, if given opportunity. After over 30 years of buying houses, I have come to rue dealing with banks for the mortgage. Not because they aren't helpful or don't provide competitive rates. No, it's mainly a fact that soon after the closing, the bank is selling your mortgage to some financial firm or another bank, and as soon as they feel it's right, they sell it. Once I purposely used a credit union because they keep their mortgages. So, it came as no surprise when the bank sold our mortgage to Carrington Mortgage Services. Shortly after the sale, we received the obligatory letter announcing that they now hold and would be servicing our mortgage. We then got a phone call and with it came an assurance that they wouldn't be selling the mortgage and wanted to ensure that our financial goals with the house could be met. I shrugged it off, but a year passed, then another, then five, and Carrington still had the mortgage. We had received calls and emails from the company rep in Jacksonville, Scott Whistler, on occasion to note rates and refinancing opportunities. And one day we thought about some renovations we wanted to do. Scott started the process and others followed it through with constant contacts to keep us informed. Less than 30 days later, we had a lower rate and cash in hand to make the changes in the house. Our previous conversations with Scott recently paid off again, as seeing the drop in the rates meant refinancing would be a saving, as well as put the mortgage rate at a near to nothing 2.25%. Before I could get in touch with Scott, he had contacted me. He said it looks like an opportunity is available, and again in less than 30 days, we closed. I look forward to the next ten years with Carrington. Oh, why only ten? Well, we keep paying the mortgage at the level we had when the mortgage was at over 5%. So, in just over 10 years from now, it will be paid. Thanks Carrington Mortgage Services. Ammended 4/13/22 - I have had a mortgage with Carrington for over a decade. Scott Whisler worked with me when I first had the mortgage turned over to Carrington and two additional times as I refinanced the mortgage.
