I guess some people always have something negative to say, but the truth is, this bank is like the best kept secret right now. I don't think there is a bank out there giving lower rates on their loans. I refinanced my car with them and secured an incredible rate. Everything was smooth and customer service was always good every time I needed to reach out. I recommended all my family and friends to them and will continue to do so

I don’t understand why would a bank encourage you to get their app which makes it easier to access your account, then turn around and charge you for moving money in your own account. Currently looking for a new bank!

I love the Bessemer city road branch in Gastonia. Everyone is friendly and with covid closing their lobby they go out of their way to help.

Worst, I mean absolutely the worst bank to deal with, they are not friendly nor compassionate towards others, they will belittle you in a heart beat, I’m so glad I went with another bank with all my loans, piece of advice DO NOT deal with this bank.

I’ve been with this bank for several yea while now and in the beginning all was well but for some reason when they sold some of the properties and downsized they started charging for everything. I even have a report on my credit for a late payment on a secured credit card that has MY OWN money as a credit card for when I started building credit some years back. I went to the hospital and was sick for a long while I was told since my balance wasn’t $25 or over I didn’t have to pay until it was $25. I didn’t pay as the due date wasn’t up. When I got sick and went to the hospital for a month or more I came out and found a letter to pay about $10 that it was late. I called and spoke to reine and explained I was in the hospital and wasn’t able to come pay bc I’ve been in the hospital she agreed they wouldn’t send it to credit bureau since I was gravely sick and had proof and I had never been late making my payments, always early and on time. I later came to find out that they did indeed send the report to the credit bureau and it’s affected my credit score. I’ve been trying to dispute this on every credit profile and it’s so horrible how this stuff has happened. I no longer use my credit card bc I couldn’t have that happen again I learned once already. I also no longer have money deposited there for fear of any type of charge they may put for whatever reason. I’m saddened by this and I wish it wasn’t like that but it is.

Highly suggest you put your money elsewhere. Customer service is a nightmare and even when they do answer the phone, they don't do their job. Go to a real bank

A little offended at this visit, I go in to talk about refinancing my vehicle told to me from another member of the bank and a woman with a mole on her lip Comes out and says did I have negative equity on my car, I said yes and I had paid it when I bought the car. She holds up a piece of paper and says “you see this, this is the value of your car” . I say ok...and she stares at me.. she says unless I pay the difference I can’t refinance I say ok (obviously didn’t no much about refinancing) then I ask.. how come? (for some understanding how this works and when I can) She literally just looks at me and says yea we can’t. I say I’m not sure I understand what your trying to say? She says is all this your paperwork and hands it back to me as she gets up and walks away like she was scared of me?!?!?!? I said you were very helpful and she looks at me and keeps walking. She damn near made me feel belittled and the being scared part..Idk cuz I’m black she really threw me off..I never had an experience with a banker like this
