They're helpful and will quickly get you into a vehicle. However,they're ruthless and will threaten a repo order if you miss just 1 payment by a day! There are better options with better customer service and compassion. I would not recommend.

OK, went to Carhop today, the timing belt on my car snapped and basically totaled the motor. I had arrived there with a sort of heavy heart. I couldn't afford a replacement motor. The quotes for repairs was significantly higher than what I had the ability to afford. I had been speaking with Jennifer M., it looked like I was going to be trading in my hot rod as a down payment for another vehicle. (hot rod just couldn't be a girl's softball transport. Once I get in the store and was speaking with Taylor, started the application process, Taylor goes out and looks at the challenger and all the check boxed are filled. Out of the blue the woman I believe is the sales manager maybe steps in and all of a sudden she is setting it up for my Tuscon to be repaired!! It is set up for Randy's Auto to do the repairs, towing is covered! These gals are handling this as warranty work! I can not sing their praises enough! My interest rate is a little high, but my credit sucks. CARHOP of St Joe Missouri is an outstanding dealership and they go above and beyond in taking care of customers. THANK YOU AGAIN LADIES! I had no credit and virtually no experience with buying a car, and the staff was very kind and helped me through the whole process, ask for crystal or Taylor and they really will help in any way to get you a car that is affordable and reliable

CarHop’s program works! In January 2020, I found myself in desperate need for a reliable car that I could put a small down payment and then, make payments each month. My credit was abysmal. I don’t think it was even 500 – as I had previously filed bankruptcy and was unable to work due to disability. Everywhere I tried to buy a car, I was denied. I shared my story with Mike and Noah at CarHop Des Moines. They listened empathetically and were able to get me approved for a 2005 Honda Pilot with approx. 80k miles – excellent CarFax report – only 1 previous owner, who took meticulous care of the car and used their local dealer for regular maintenance. Each month, I made my payments on time and in full. In return, CarHop provided positive reporting to the credit monitoring bureaus, showing that I had been making my payments. Fast forward to today, September 2021, my credit score is 670! Plus, I’ve been approved for up to a $26k car at a 4.5% interest rate! Wow! I would not have been able to get here without the assistance of CarHop – they take chances on people like me who have hit rough patches. Noah is still the manager at CarHop Des Moines and Mike is now manager of his own location down in Missouri. I’m grateful to both of them and hope they keep doing what they’re doing to help people like me!

I have bad credit and have been turned down everywhere! I needed something bigger than I currently have. I walked in and immediately they were so kind, I was honest about my situation of credit and what I have down and could afford a month. Taylor went above and beyond to get me in a vehicle I like, and heck got my payments less a month then I was willing to pay!!! Definitely highly recommend if your in a bad situation with credit! I can not rate them 0 stars. Where to begin. Right from the begining we were required to fill out a credit app before we could even begin to look at vehicles, seriously. We had many many many problems with them over the time we bought a car from them. My wife's car that we bought from them was totaled. She made the last required payments after the accident. Now they want upwards of $4K in interest because we apparently still owe money? What a ripoff, save yourself the frustration and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Teresa has been the most helpful with my account. I have no problem admitting I'm really having trouble getting my payment there on time for my weekly agreement due to health issues in my family and she has really been working with me to figure some things out and we finally did...thank you from my entire heart for working with me its appreciated more then you know!
