Capital One Bank NJ, Wharton

I have been banking with Capital One since 2012. The associates in this branch are the most friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable bankers I have dealt with in a long time. Everytime I come into the bank I am greeted with a smile and a Hello. They are knowledgeable about the different types of accounts they offer and are willing to guide you in the right direction. They are great with difficult transactions and still process them in a timely matter. I cashed out federal savings bond with not one hiccup. I will be banking here for many more years to come.

This location is extremely professional. Although not as large as other branches, their politeness and professionalism makes up for it. I've always been loyal to Chase Bank (was Chemical Bank back in the days when I opened my first account), however because of the low (non existent) interest rates, I decided to give Capital One a shot. They offered a 1%APY rate for their free checking account for the first year. After the 1 year promotional rate was up, it dropped back down to (a still respectable) 0.25%APY. This is still much better than the 0.01% rates that I get with Chase or BoA. Instead of having my savings in the checking account after the promotional 1%, I opened a Capital One 360 online savings account (formerly ING Direct). Because Capital One merged/acquired ING a few years ago, they are able to provide the online savings account which gets you 1.00%APY. This is much better than other banks' CD rates. Aside the great products and great customer service they provide (shout out to Anna at this branch), their location is extremely convenient for my banking needs....as I work in the neighborhood, I can pop into this branch right before hopping on I-80 to get home.

I'd give 5 stars but without a drive up ATM, I can't consider it mom friendly especially when it's super cold and I'm traveling with an infant. Also leaves you open for losing your money or robbery when you only have 1 hand free and can't pay attention to your surroundings.

They wouldn’t cash my savings bond. They told me they don’t provide this service anymore.

Very professional and helpful bank tellers. ATM outside and accessible anytime for deposits or withdrawals.

The worst bank! Insulting and incompentent. The teller told me to take my money and go to another bank1 Her name is Josie at the Wharton branch. I was astonished and made a complaint to corporate but I don't think they did anything. I will be transferring my money to another bank.. Also, the bank manager condoned what she did! Outrageous!!!

Called ahead of time to see if it's open. Said it was open. Drove over an hour (nearest bank). Not plowed and closed. I guess my family doesn't get its own money. Great start to the relationship.

Was provided false information. Was told when I signed a form that it would prevent overdraft fees - to my surprise a $35 fee was charged. Stay away and read every page they quickly have you sign!

I opened my first Bank account with them. If I have a problem I call then and quickly solve have it solved. Been with them since 2000.

good bank but cant pay your credit card bills at a branch. stupid and bad customer service on that one.
