I was surprised by how many negative reviews this Capital One location has. I've visited this particular branch on several occasions without issue. The employee I interacted with was friendly enough and had me in and out.

Asked questions on why my check from work took forever to deposit over the phone was told they can’t share it with me. Because it’s policy. Every time I’ve had an issue customer service can never help. My chase account was so much better

Similar to a recent review, I also wanted to open a new account and I'm an existing customer. They could not be more bothered. Ultimately, I did not open a new account and took my needs for a business account elsewhere. I had another task to complete regarding an existing account and the banker told me to call Capital One versus simply completing the task. I will not be back. (No, it wasn't busy and there was one other customer in the building).

This is certainly not the experience we strive for, we'll be sure to roll up this feedback.^FP

Capital One Bank sucks. It is one of those douchey banks that charges non-customers a fee to cash perfectly good checks written by their OWN depositors. I'm surprised this is even legal under federal banking laws--but it is certainly the kind of anti-new client business practice that will keep me and many others from ever, ever, ever banking with them personally. I can't imagine that what little they collect in these junk fees can ever add up to more than they are losing in new business.

    Response from the owner

Hi! Thanks for sharing feedback on our check cashing policy for non-customers. We'll forward it to our Leadership team to review. Thanks. ^AB

They are using a very dishonest practice to trick customers way! Don't trust what they do or say, double check all amounts yourself! I told them that I want to pay off everything, however they left 80 cents on account, so I would think that I have no balance while they are charging me $30 for non payment every month!

    Response from the owner

Hey, thanks for bringing this to our attention. This is certainly not the experience we would want you to have, and we want to help in any way possible. Please give our credit card team a call at 1-800-955-7070, so we can take a closer look into this for you. Thanks! ^VS

I'm surprised of all the negative reviews as well. I've had nothing but great customer service every time I go. As a matter of fact I go out of my way to this location instead of the one that is closer to me. I am sad that they will be closing :(

On February 12, 2019 I went to a capital one location to apply for a secured credit card. I spoke with an associate who gave me a $200 deposit incentive in order to receive the credit card in two to three weeks. I gave my information proceeded to say thank you and received my confirmation left the bank. a few days later February 15th 2019 I ultimately decided that the secured credit card was not something I wanted to use and proceeded to call customer service and cancel the card. the first associate I spoke with over the phone gave me the cancellation confirmation. The initial deposit had not been withdrawn from my bank account so the agent stated to give a call and do a stop payment just to make sure that Capital One doesn't withdraw it. I called my bank shortly after and within moments capital one put in to withdraw the money from my account which now I had to wait for it to clear. I called the capital one 1-800 number back and spoke with another associate who stated that he would put in my routing information to request the funds be returned to my bank account however stated that would need to be approved and it could still be mailed back at a check. I waited until February 28th 2019 to call back and find out the status of my refund as I had not received any contact, nor had I received the money back into my account. I spoke with a third associate over the phone who stated that I needed to call back the next day Saturday March 1st as I was right at the 7th day. On Saturday March 1st I called back to inquire about the money in the refund. I spoke with a 4th associate who stated that the applications department was closed over the weekend and I needed to call back on Monday. At that time I went to the bank spoke with the associate who assisted me with doing the application and processing the deposit. He called another number and another associate got on the phone and told me based on my information I should receive my my refund check no later than March 8th 2019. On March 8th 2019 after being at work all day I went home to find no check no refund. I called back and was told after being put on hold for 45 minutes that my money should arrive by the 11th. When I ask to speak with a manager or a supervisor I was hung up on. Here we are today, no refund check... still.. No call back... still... at this point I'm extremely disappointed in the way capital one's customer service as well as the process of refund has gone. It's been a month at this point I wouldn't be surprised if I get a credit card in the mail. I guess that's how you get members for life?? I don't know if I should file a fraud case with my bank siting this bank has stolen from me. I have asked multiple times to have someone contact me which no one has. So maybe this email will get to someone who cares about their customers..

I am writing favorably about my experience at the Studemont branch with Branch Ambassador Javier Hernandez. Like most, I can think of many things better to do with time than go to a bank, so it is a pleasant surprise when the service is not good, but awesome. The last thing an employee wants is to expose a business in disarray. I brought to Javier a unique problem with no simple solution. He went through several phone calls with back office to resolve my problem for me. While speaking with others, having to start from the beginning with each new back office higher up, Javier was cool, calm and exceedingly polite to me and the person on the phone whose help was being sought. I have had customer experience in my past and it can be a challenge. Javier never wavered in his determination to get me what I needed. Thank you, Javier, and I hope management knows how valuable you are.

    Response from the owner

Hey there, Dale—thanks for taking the time to communicate your experience! Javier's an all-star for sure. We'll be sure to pass the kudos along! :-) ^MS

My bank community resource sent a car payment to Capital One Oct30, On Oct 31 Capital one withdrew another car note. Ca[ital. one has been researching this since. Community Resource showed me proof Capital One received payment both times in one month. Ms. Batsi stated it would take 4 to 5 working days to rectify this. Haven't received one phone call. Thank god this wasn't a mortgage. Very unprofessional of Ms. Batsi. Is anybody there that cares about your customer.
