    My grandma had been a longtime customer of CapEd and she recently passed away. In the weeks since, we discovered that she'd set up all her granddaughters as beneficiaries with a CD each in our names. My cousins and I are all fairly young/inexperienced with this stuff and most of us aren't living in Idaho at this point in our lives. Mike D. personally walked us through the entire process (spending much time on the phone and going back and forth via email) making sure that he got the required paperwork from each of us and got a check in the mail that same week. I was sincerely so impressed and very much appreciate his compassion and patience with us, so here I am writing my first-ever google review! Many thanks Mike (and the CapEd team) y'all are wonderful to work with.

    They are by far the worst bank credit union in Idaho, I decided to switch to a CU a couple years ago… initially they were ideal, I even recommended them to most of my family. When covid hit and $ got tight for many- they became money hungry with fees seemed to be taking advantage of there preferred customers Very comparable to corporate banking Do Not Recommend!! I was able to go to ICCU and get a deferment on a truck loan almost too easy to work with, I also had to speak with CapEd requesting some understanding with our other truck loan, all they did was add it to my account rather than my husbands and assisted in nothing .. making things more stressful.. I decided to put overdraft protection on only to find a larger fee for insuffienct . seriously’ I’d rather have the bill paid and a fee, than a fee and my bill sent back- ridiculous- Our income is back to its normal and although I nolonger have to worry about fees , CapEd made a HUGE MISTAKE

    The best place in town. Great people. Considerate. Helpful. Been with Cap Ed since 2007 when I moved back to town. You'll love that hometown feel vs big city just a number.

    I've been banking with these guys for years. However I noticed this year they Never answer their phones and if you are lucky enough to get through they say I'll send that dept. A message to call you back. It's been a month and no one has called. After being on hold for over an hour today they hung up at the 5 pm close. I bet if I stop paying my loan payment they'll call.

    I love this branch. It's staff are friendly. The office is clean. Online banking is great. The mobile app is slick as well.

    normally fine and i feel like i can usually get pretty quick service but i’ve tried to call like 3 separate times over the course of the past couple days and i just get a solid 30 minutes of hold music. i can’t access my account right now and doing the online password reset also isn’t working for some reason so it would be nice to get fast help for important stuff like this

    I have had my truck financed with Cap Ed now for almost a year, in the past I would just bring a check into the branch to make my payment. Several months ago I decided to set up auto pay so every two weeks they were taking out 340 every two weeks. I set it up to come out of my account on the 4th and 19th. Well for whatever reason on the 31st of may they pulled 340 out of my account. I work 9 to 7 so unable to go to the branch in person I have tried calling multiple times throughout the day. Wait times have been so long I have yet to talk to a representative. By far the absolute worst customer service ever. I would never open a checking account or savings with cap Ed. Terrible..

    Needed to pick up cash today and was told to go to 3 different branches to get it.because they limit what can be withdrawn. I think I'd understand this better if the amount I wanted was significant but it was less that 20,000. What do you people keep in those safes? How solvent are you? Should I be worried?

While we do our best to accommodate our member's needs, we do have to limit the amount of cash that can be withdrawn unless it's ordered ahead of time.

    Very tired of this bank lying to people and acting like they’re trying to support education or help people when in reality they have a super conservative fee structure that really only preys upon poor people. They often will make it convenient so that my checks don’t clear in time for them to charge me one or multiple $30 fees for trying to spend more money than I have they don’t even cover the bill and they charge you $30.

    I had some difficult banking to do. The teller was very helpful and I was able to keep most of my debit cards and only had to replace one of them!

    Went in yesterday so my son could open his first account and it was the BEST EXPERIENCE!! We were greeted promptly and kindly by the ladies up front and were quickly seen by our new favorite banker Jason. Jason went above and beyond making my son feel comfortable and important. We spent 30 minutes setting up the account and laughed and cracked jokes the entire time. Jason is definitely our recommendation for anyone in need of a new banker.......you won't be disappointed!!
