Ive been using california check cashing for several years and the customer service is decent for the most part depending on where you go but if you want the best customer service from someone who actually cares and is going to get the job done and really solve your problem then you want to go to the watt ave location in north highlands and look for Felicia. If your lucky enough to get called to her window, your in good hands.

Courtney is a great person. She's so helpful. She explains everything so we have no worries. Very polite and always smiling. In. fact the whole staff is great. I recommend this company.

Felicia the manager is Amazing because has been very helpful and makes me feel welcome.Every time I come here no matter who helps me,I leave the place happy because I’m always being help with what I need and with polite respectful people. In particular Jennifer, who I believe to be an outstanding, extraordinary example of customer appreciation and customer service. That was my wonderful experience, first when I call to ask what time did California check cashing closed. I was delighted and pleasantly surprised to hear a warm and friendly voice on the other end of the phone encouraging me to come the store even though their about to closed. I find Jennifer to be warm, friendly, and very helpful. Jennifer was able to help me with help that I needed. Thank you California Check Cashing for great people like Jennifer. Came in & was helped by Erica on 09/06. She was so polite and friendly. Great service!! (Edit, I received great service from everyone besides Michelle, she seems to always be at the window & not helping anyone...does not even great customers & says “one mine” or “I’ll be right with you” everyone around her takes customers & she will just be standing there playing busy...very frustrating.

The female cashier in this location had a complete lack of customer service and professionalism. There were no other customers in the building so that kind of ratchetness was unexpected, it wasn't busy. I went in to send money through western with my debit card, and this woman was treating me as if I was trying to commit fraud! I understand if you deal with obnoxious and rude people everyday you might get stressed out, but this was different. Not everybody is a criminal so they need to remember that in the future. I wouldn't advise going over this place because they have a new policy where they need your social and all your other info just to send money, my brother was sick and i needed to send him cash!

Brought my stepson here after he started work again after being laid off for 6 months due to covid. He received no unemployment because the EDD said they sent it to someone else. When he started work again, his first check was a handwritten paycheck with errors and scribbled out markings from his employer. His bank account had been shut down due to inactivity from covid. We tried other places and was refused because he had lost his expired state ID. We were in the process of finding time to go to the DMV and wait in line for hours due to covid. These places told us to come to California Check Cashing. It is a 20 minute drive for us. When we got there, he described his situation, and it took nearly an hour for them to call his employer and verify the check, and they had to also verify his social, but they did it. He got the check cashed. Total miracle and life saver. They have no idea. 2 weeks later, his next paycheck came. This time they computer printed the check, but used an old address. Back to California Check Cashing. He was in the computer system now, and they remembered him. They cashed the check. And he only has a temporary state id paperwork, since it takes a week or 2 to get the photo ID in the mail. Then we went to his bank to open his account. They took overdraft penalties but would not open it without photo ID. So next paycheck, He will have his photo ID and the correct address on file at work, and be back up to speed. But California Check Cashing was a LIFESAVER in a bind!
