I have been with them for almost 5 years. Do not waste your money with them the customer service is horrid. Being nice and giving good customer service are two different things. They did not accomidate anyone during a pandemic or when people are searching for jobs. All in all you are honestly better off spending your money on a peddle bike or just walking.

I was able to extend my lease to purchase my car. I see the complaints but I personally have never had a problem. I realized when I purchased my car it was a high risk loan and my payment needed to be on time. I've never missed a payment and when I needed arrangements I met them. Thanks to brite I was driving a car that was 1 year old and I've never had a problem with the car. I was told that if I had any problems and I couldn't afford the car any longer and I had documentation to back my claim they would take the car back no problems. I believed them, they and I had legitimate paperwork proving that my income had changed and yes they took the car back but they did not tell me that it would negatively affect my credit report these people did me wrong

I was having a bad situation in the system that turned out to be a error. Juanita was very professional. She listened, understood, and had a lot of patience with me about a situation I was angry of. She stood her grounds on not releasing certain information to me, but at the same time she heard me out, spoke with her supervisor, and got the problem solved. If we had more people like her in this world, forsure it would be a better place. Sometimes all you have to do is just listen, then speak your peace. She showed great gratitude and superiorship. I've never had a bad experience with them personally, but I'm giving them a 5 star review because their customer service has been so helpful, understanding and lenient with me during this covid crisis. I've had to make several (more than I'd like to admit) payment arrangements with them these past few months due to the fact I took a hard hit financially and they are allowing me to take the time to catch up. I can't recall everybody's name but they are always helpful and go above and beyond. The first lady I had talked to actually had a brief conversation with me when the pandemic first hit and wished me well and to stay safe which was more than I could ask for. Another lady went out of her way and told me that I can call back to extend my payment period but to make sure I call before that set date since the company is strict about it, due to me finding work again and waiting for my first paycheck. I'm almost caught up now and hopefully wont have to make anymore arrangements, but I'm so glad I was able to communicate to such a caring and understanding team. I wish I could thank them personally!

This company has caused me so much grief. Car rite the company I bought my car from sold me a car that was not safe and offered warranties that they never honored. I spent 5k fixing the car. The dealer they sent me to told me the car was not drivable. Car rite told me I could return it and I did. After that Brite never sent me any information. I contacted them because 2 years later they reported to my credit that I owed them $5000 I tried to request a invoice so I knew what I was being charged for. They were rude and refused to even give me a invoice and proceeded to hang up on me. I offered to pay payments for the amount I owed which was around $1200 they refused to take a payment. Went to court received a judgement on me and then took a different vehicle from me and sold it at a auction. I have been asking for over a year for proof of sale and or a credit for the car that had nothing to do with them that they stole and still after a year have never provided me proof of what they sold my other car for. Now I have paid them the total amount they say I owed because I felt I had no choice or my credit would be destroyed. So they got the full amount they were requesting plus a vehicle that had nothing to do with this account. Still after all this they are reporting a repossession and a balance on my credit. Everything on my credit report is incorrect even the amount they say I borrowed. I would never Recommend this crooked company to anyone. Even if you trying to build your credit as they claim to do. They will destroy your life! Stay away! Buyer beware!

The customer service reps are great. The company they work for is trash. This company has no ethics nor principal and values. I got a loan from them, the car i received from CarRite was not inspected and has costed me over $6,000 worth of repairs within a year and a half of having it (don't ever buy a car from CARITE neither). My payments are every other week for a 2009 vehicle and is almost $500 a month, my employment changed and they wouldnt change my payments to monthly. I've paid on time and consistently for over a year, it still hasn't gave my credit a good impact. Although I'm constantly doing major repairs on the car, CarRite or Brite Financials dgaf, I still have to make payments on time They can have this car back.

I have spoken with some nice representatives, however the entire company is scam. They repoed my vehicle when I paid on time and actually a month ahead in my payments. They insured my vehicle without my permission and I have full coverage insurance already and tried to charge me for the insurance through them. Having a hard time getting my vehicle back from them. Even though me and my insurance company has been repeatedly talking to them about their mistake. I would never advise you to use this company to get a vehicle. They are frauds.

Look, I know that others have had less than desirable experiences with Brite in the past, but their auto leasing program serves a very specific purpose, to give a chance to those people that have been turned down elsewhere. That being said, it is necessary for them to take alternative methods to secure their assets, their vehicles, when serving such a high risk market. If you make every effort to honor your obligations and contact them in the event of financial hardship, you will be fine. Their customer service has improved significantly, and if you maintain open communication with them, you will have a great experience. I am nearly two years into my lease now, and I couldn't be happier. My payments are reporting to the credit bureaus, and I don't have to worry about having an unreliable vehicle. To the underserved masses, if you have been turned down by other dealerships in the past, give Brite some due consideration. Their staff has always been friendly and helpful, and I would certainly recommend them to someone looking to build credit.

Unfortunately my review is not good either, however I would like to say that Alyssa is by far the best customer service rep at Brite Financial that I have dealt with and from the other reviews that I read I can definitely understand why customers only deal with representatives such as Alyssa. She is very understanding and doesn't make you feel less of a person if there are issues, and will work with you to rectify any issues...hence "GOOD QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!" I would say that Brite Financial Services need a "Re-Set" button to go back and truly understand what Customer service is really all about. I am positive that alot of us have been mislead when it came to this so called "lease-situation." If Brite Financial Services ever operated out of integrity...my advice would be to go back because at this point, your "Cons is definitely outweighing your Pros.!"

This car company is a nightmare. Yes, it's easy to get approved but the stress that comes with it, is not worth it. How much you'll spend on a car per month is ridiculous! I know better, and knew this probably wouldn't be a great idea but thought it would build my credit. It hasn't really done a thing. The other reviews of people trying to turn their car back in, is really scaring me. It's like a trap, once you get in that's it. I don't know about other's experience with customer service as I've always had an okay experience so far. We have to remember they don't make the rules, but at the end of the day, this company is terrible.

This company has to be the complete worst of all times. I was laid off one week and the following week I got another job. I called brite and they told me they couldn't change my due dates because I signed the contract stating that I was able to pay every week. I have never heard of anything like that. I asked to speak to a manager on multiple occasions and they're only response was "it takes 24-48 hours before I could speak to one". The CSR's doesn't have great communications skills at all. They deactivated my car every week which caused me to have to buy a brand new battery. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT go through with them. You will regret it they don't even deserve a star but in order for me to give out my review I had to rate them (BS)

If it were possible to give this company no stars I would do so, this is the worst experience I have ever had. This company is full of thieves, scammers and charlatans. Whatever you do don't get a car from here it's not worth and I guarantee you will only live to regret it! Customer service is rude and nasty to you if you have to call in to speak with someone. The worst experience I've ever had financing a car. They're rude customer service workers will sometimes call 3 + 4 times a day sometimes when the payment isn't even due yet they are the worst. Legal team is harassing me about a balance owed on a lease. I don't care if I had $1000000 I wouldn't pay . Balance of the car when I went to buy it was $8,000 I put $1,700 down how do I still owe $10,000 after 2 years. I sent the car back I don't care I would rather walk than get a car from here.

What a nightmare this has been. I am at the end of my lease with this company and I have NEVER in my life had such a run around. I just want to be done with this! The only reason I went with them is they were close to my work, had the car I wanted and seemed genuinely able to work with someone with no credit. DO NOT GET TANGLED IN THIS MESS! I have been told they are accessing fees for late payments that can be between $4-200 a day anytime a payment was late (even though for years I paid my payment monthly, apparently I was on a weekly schedule), they took months to adjust my payment dates, their autopayments were often taken out on the wrong dates causing nightmares at my bank. If you call and question anything about their fees, costs or processes you are hit with a stonewall where nobody can explain anything to you. I was just told that I will not know any of the fees until a maxium of 10 days before my turn in date. So I will be responsible for god knows how much in random fees. In 5 years I have never been told of an additional "daily rental fee", when asked in my lease agreement where this information/cost was listed I was referred to a line that states "Additional fees may be assessed at lease termination" which I assumed would be for mileage or damages... WRONG. They can and will add whatever they want with no explaination. If you are more than 2 days late on any payment (even weekly) they will disable your vehicle. They will not work with you to turn the vehicle on or to set up a proper payment schedule. I have had my car "accidentally" disabled more times than I can count. Over the past 5 years, the reps have been consistently unhelpful. There is never a supervisor available and when they do call back they have no clue either! They are rude when you ask any questions because they don't know the answers either. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I have been through other small dealerships that have been wonderful, this company is a nightmare.

Their customer service representatives are rude and they seem to not so any empathy toward your situation or circumstances. I've been with them for 3+ years. I currently owe them less then $1000 for my vehicle. They deactivate my car for being 31days late. I know...I know... you're probably thinking "well you're 31 days late" but i owe less the $1000. They could at least cut me some slack. I informed them that they'll be paid in less then a week, and they still didn't seem to care. I can't wait until I'm done with them. THEE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!

for my personal experience with Brite financial services for the past two and a half years was not good but once I started working with a representative named April she kinda turned my Outlook when it comes to them being humans and them understanding how it is to be in a situation with a payment of your car. I leased a car through them in 2010 and they promised me that i will only lease this particular car for 6 months which was a Honda Accord and after 6 months I can get the car I wanted. Well I paid 400 a month for a year straight on time and they lied to me. They were tryna keep me stuck with that car so I turned the car in and refused to continue. A few years later they sued me and garnished my taxes to pay off whatever I owed . Now 12 years later I have to sue them for garnishing me a 2nd time on something that I already paid in full. This place is a joke

The company as a whole is kind of a scam. I fell into the same trap as many people here, not knowing the car was a lease until well after I signed a contract. That being said, there is one bright light in the company and her name is Juanita. She has been the absolute most helpful, nicest woman to help me through many difficult situations. I would normally not publish a review on this company because the previous ones speak for themselves, however I felt compelled to recognize this wonderful soul who deserves way more than she is getting paid, I'm sure. I will never use Brite Financial again, but I can only hope that I come across Juanita somewhere else in the future.

This is by far the worst lending company to ever apply for a loan with. In 2019, I was tricked into a lease when I was informed I was going to be finance for a car. I was never late nor missed a payment, and in fact I spent over $4000 to pay the lease off a year before the last payment was due. I turned the car in, and before I knew it, a couple months later I received a credit alert stating that my credit score decreased by over 150 points, due to Brite financial flagged my credit report with a charge off for $233, which they claimed I owe. And the representative in the legal department claimed he personally sent a letter to my house stating that I owe a balance of $233. I never received any letter from them. And if they have always communicated with me by email, why would they send a letter all of a sudden. The letter they claim to have sent never arrived at my address. And the person from the legal department wasn’t helpful at all. After explaining to him that after I paid the car off and turned it in, Brite Financial still had in their possession my down payment which was a deposit I was promised to receive once turning in the car. That deposit was over $1200. There was nothing wrong with the car when I returned it, put side of it needing a new key fob, yet they stole my deposit and still charged me $233. Yet never sent any letter or itemize list showing how I owe $233. I recommend any and everyone to stay far away from that piece of s#!t of a company. They are scam artists!!! I’ve heard all bad reviews about this company after I was duped into the lease, but never thought that I would be writing a review due to these crooks taking my deposit, flagging my credit with a charge off and then lying about sending me a letter concerning what I owe them.

For four years we paid brite Financial In a lease. Never was told it was just a lease. We thought we was in a contract to by our car. We are black and middle class whenever we pay that much money for something we trying to own it. To own it after 4 years of payments and over $24,000 paid on it they still want another $5,000 for it to be ours. Never again! If you fine with wasting your hard earned money, go ahead! Horrible contact and not set up for people to win, just the bank. Car-rite is where we got the car! Horrible service as well.

I started the process on my extended lease program for my car and I had the pleasure of speaking with a few different people but I encountered this young lady by the name of Junita her extention is 248. She has made this process so smooth. She has assisted me when I was going through it. She calmed me down and walked me through every step. Her yes ma'am is so comforting. I wish I could give a negative star to this company. They claim they will work with you but they never do. I get different information every single time I call to discuss my account. Not to mention I will be paying for my car almost 3 times by the end of my lease. If I want to purchase my car before my lease is up just to be done with them I will have to pay what I started my lease out with.....I am on my third year of my lease and have one more year to go but yet my buyout is the purchase price minus a thousand. If you want to pay triple the amount of what your car is worth and continue to get different information every time you call then this is the company for you. They pride themselves on helping the unfortunate but they have done nothing but made my life a living hell, with no help at all. If my credit wasn't so good now I would get rid of this company yesterday. I am stuck for one more year of hell. Please do yourself a favor and find another company.

This is by far the WORST company to finance through! No one ever calls back! I have spoken with some nice representatives, however the entire company is scam. They say you owe a certain amount, but on your credit report the amount is much higher. I was informed that after 1 year of on time payments I would be able to trade my lease out for a new vehicle. That is not true! I want out of this lease soooo bad or at least a different vehicle. Update: 6/20/2019 I traded out my vehicle and went with a different financial institution. I would not recommend leasing through Brite financial at all. However, Juanita J. Is truly amazing. She showed empathy during my tough situation. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and a great representative for the company. I mean literally if I could give her a bonus personally I would. My fiance leased a car from them when he lived in Michigan. When we decided that he would move here to Virginia to go to school, work, and for us to get married he called to verify everything would be okay. He didn't realize that there's a portion in the lease stating he couldn't move to a state without a leasing location. Understandably we were frustrated but tried every possible route to rectify the situation. A location within driving distance but across state lines said they'd love to help but it would have to be approved by higher ups. We spent weeks talking to Brite trying to get approval. First their phone lines have been messed up for weeks making it impossible to talk to people. It's incredibly sketchy and unprofessional to not be able to receive any incoming calls from clients and make people wait days for a call back. I had one 'nice' customer service agent Shana act like she was willing to help then lie to me about calling me back and ignored our calls for days. They offered 0 alternatives and were completely unwilling to help us. They also jacked up the buy out price so much that even after over a year of faithful payments the buyout price they provided was still $5,000 more than the worth of the car! Ridiculous. Even when we traded it in to a dealership then wouldn't even talk to Ford after they owned the car to finalize things. This company preys on those with poor credit by forcing them to stay in a vicious cycle of debt. Predatory and disgusting. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

UPDATE: My car was stolen again this time in 2021 and the service was completely different this time... thanks to God and my changed attitude... I will give them five stars the first time I gave them one.... but this time they tracked the car down and Have it back after its been stolen for one week... My car was stolen Monday Oct 19, 2019. I called them they didn’t want to speak to me unless I have police report. I obtained the police report and asked them if they are able to track my car. These PEOPLE TOLD NO WERE NOT TRACKING THE CAR UNLESS ITS BEHIND ON ITS PAYMENTS!!! My car note was due the next day that Tuesday and I REFUSED TO PAY! So they could track my car , they told me NO WERE NOT GOING TO DO THAT FOR SECURITY PURPOSES... so you tell me you can’t collaborate with the police to find a car technically still yours?? They still said the same thing, harassing me all week for a payment when the notes clearly said the car was stolen!!! They denied the insurance claim because I refuse to pay on a stolen car that they could help track. I got an attorney involved and the attorney asked for an insurance policy. They told ME NO WE CANT DO THAT BECAUSE THE CAR PAYMENT IS BEHIND. Forcing me to pay for an insurance policy. That’s not even the icing to the cake, these people told me the POLICE WOULD HAVE TO FIND IT. And so they did now the car is in the impound when it could have been avoided if they tracked the car in the first place. They want me to pay for impound fees and still pay on the car. When my car was stolen and I pay y’all over $500 a month and they have $12,000 of my money. IM curently still without a car because I have no help getting the car back into my possession by the way my car note was all current during the time my vehicle was stolen..

Due to Covid-19 I was laid off of work and the company put an hold on my account. Over half of Americans been laid off. I got a call today saying I had to pay or they wouldn’t be able to put another hold on the account. I expressed to them that I’m not able to put food in my refrigerator and they still didn’t work with me. I was ineligible for unemployment and my stimulus check still hasn’t arrived. They are terrible, rude, and very unprofessional and ghetto. They will harass you until they get their money. If I could I would give them 0 stars.

Although some reps are helpful, the info given during lease and lease end is based information. I would never use them again. Our new vehicle was purchased using Capital One financial, and we are very pleased with them so far.

This company is a scam! I have been with them for over 2 years now and it's been one lie after another! My carite dealership closed down a month after I leased the car and I have not been able to use the warranty that I paid for! The customer service sucks! One person tells me one thing and the next person tells me another thing. Never the same answer. This company is the fastest way to ruin your credit! I have been asking for over a year where I can get my car fixed that is local to me and not in another state and they have given me the run around for over a year now. Even though I do not have a vehicle yet with this company I am working on doing so. She was able to answer every question I had and also delivered really great information about Brite that made my decision easier. I hate giving these people 1 star. Horrible I have not had this car for a full month and it's going bad. They messed up my direct payment form which made us late and they never contacted us. I have called them over 20 times about insurance and I get something different. I have insurance and this company refuses to remove their insurance off my account. They send 3 texts per day saying I'm late these are fees from their insurance. I have faxed the insurance paperwork 3 times and they still refuse to remove it. I have contacted a lawyer. Customer services really sucks. Customer representatives do not return calls. My daughter was told (once she reached). "Why are you calling?". She was calling to get status on a car that is no longer operable, that was given back to company. Story too long to report here. Bottom line this finance company is not WORTH dealing with. We are small claims court, filing complaint with Michigan Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. There too many reviews and people with the same complaint. I believe there are grounds for Class Action Suit. Definitely contacting legal assistance.

The entire company is a joke and a scam!!! I’ve been with the company never paid late and chose to utilize their insurance because getting insurance in Detroit is ridiculous. My vehicle was stolen and it took a matter of two weeks to get in contact with their insurance dpt. Brite will not give you the insurance dpt number you have to call Brite wait 20-30 minutes to get a Brite agent who will only transfer you to the insurance. Not sure what kind of system they use for authenticating their customers but they want you to provide your entire life story before they can simply transfer you. They have a program where if you lose your job etc. you're supposed to be able to turn your vehicle in no penalties, no black mark on your credit, they just keep your security deposit. I tried turning my vehicle in for 6 MONTHS, had been communicating frequently with them, they knew I wasn't paying payments and was trying to turn it in to the dealer. Getting ahold of ANYBODY to fax the lease turn in papers was a nightmare. Now they're telling me I owe them all sorts of money for a repossession. NOT WHAT HAPPENED. Good luck trying to get anyone to call you back. They may accept people with poor credit, but it's not worth it one bit. What a nightmare experience!!

This company deserves 0 stars!!! They are robbers and thieves that rape their customers every week. They turn your car off, even if you make your payments on time. They call and harass me everyday, even though they have a record of my weekly payments. When I first got the car two years ago. It had a foul odor and had some sort of dead brown bugs in it. (What the other customer said about these being flood damaged cars, I believe). They are too stupid to realize that if you deactivate my car. I can't get to work and therefore cannot pay you. A word of advice to anyone considering buying from this company. Save your money, catch the bus, or Uber before you sell your soul to these bastards. ***Update*** Do what I did and return their raggedy car, so they will have no reason to contact you ever again!!!! I give them a two stars because they accept about anyone, but the lease loan is outrageously overpriced might as well go to another dealer and buy a car out right. Talked to a represantive and told them I do not want them pull any money out of my account, and the next day because I did not " ask to stop auto payment" they still pulled it out and caused an overdraft fee. If you having issue with your credit and gone to every other dealer in your area and this was the last resort would be the reason I would recommend this scam.
