My wife and I were doing a VA loan that we originally started with another lending company (that I will not mention), who totally had us scrambling due to the lack of information that they provided to us at the time we found the property we wanted. Needless to say, I needed to find a Lending company that was willing to be honest and provide us with the information we needed. We found that immediately once we started working with Modern Lending and their team. I worked with Brian Decker who was very informative and supportive in making sure we had everything we needed to get funded. He provided step by step videos on the process and sends out email updates throughout the process so you know exactly where you are. Let me start off by saying that I wasn't planning on using modern lending for my home loan. I was planning on going through schools first credit Union who I used for my previous mortgage. I was referred to Sean Parsons by my real estate agent who requested we get a pre approval through modern lending to help speed up the process since schools first process is so tedious and takes a while and we wanted to put in a bid on a house right away. I contacted Sean and we got our pre approval within a week (they requested everything up front like bank statements and W2s). During this time and prior to starting the process with modern lending, I was calling my bank for 2+ weeks and finally got a response. I provided them with all the same info and my rate with the credit Union was 0.125% higher! Not only was I shocked at how competitive modern lending rates are compared to a credit Union, their loan process has been the easiest I have ever experienced purchasing a home! We were able to have a 23 day escrow from start to finish! I'm so glad I was referred and now looking at their positive reviews, I'm not surprised!
