Bovard-Anderson Co 3rd St, Beaver

As a renter I was nervous to see bad reviews about Bovard Anderson as our landlords hired them to take us on. Our home has required A LOT of maintenance since then and Greg and the ladies who answer the phone have always been great. They are nice and get the repair guys out as quick as they can.

405 Blackhawk Road #6 do not rent this townhouse. When we moved in there was old food in cupboards, mold in bathtub, oven didn’t work, my air conditioner was actually melted off the wall from the heater below it. Treadmill left in basement which is covered in mold. Old pallets left in front of the home I had to remove, they are claiming nothing was left behind. Look up the listing pictures the old pallets are in it! Carpets were not cleaned and smelled of smoke. We moved out finally, and was charged for the treadmill $125 even though it was there when we moved in. They refuse to give me my money back. Jacqueline Crowley McLaughlin is refusing to speak with me she is the “boss”. My home was not inspected before renting to me, they have no inspection on file to show me but claim they know what items were left in the home. She told her rental agent to deal with the issue and make me pay it, he offered to pay me out of his own check because he knows what Bovard Anderson is doing to me is wrong, I declined because their employees should not have to lose money over the companies mistakes. No one else will speak with me, they told me I should have removed the old tenants property myself and because I didn’t remove someone else’s belongings I had to pay a removal fee, all of this during a pandemic. Terrible company

Called about an apartment I was highly interested in. Gave them cash to do my credit check. (I know it is good so that can't possibly be the reason I never received a call back) I call THEM back after 2 days of radio silence, just to hear them say they did the credit check and my credit was good but the owner was concerned that I didn't make enough money. And just for the record, I did. The sign was down a week later, and a resident had moved in. I'm very salty with this company and will NEVER even attempt and rent with them again.

Overall has been decent. Just wished they had a little more pull when dealing with the property owners. Anytime I had a maintenance issue they would have someone out to look at it within a day, if not a few hours. Latest was 3 days for a roof leak. Front desk personnel were pleasant to deal with. Had an issue with a place I was renting and had to relocate. Thankfully they had it ready and me moved in within a week. This is my 3rd apartment and is so far the best of the three.

Do NOT get into a rental agreement with these people. The staff is horribly rude and vindictive. The rent is more expensive than any other place we checked out despite the fact that the kitchen looks something out of a shanty town but we took it for the location. Not to mention that they lied about this place. Despite the fact that we are both professionals who obviously make enough money to afford it, they treat us like we are nothing but sewage because we are renters as though that is an indicator of anything. The owner acts like she lives in Buckingham Palace; she has an attitude and clearly thinks she is better than everybody and has her nose in the air the entire time she is talking down to you. I read very negative reviews online from many other people who have had these same problems but thought I would give them a chance. Listen to the reviews. Don't do it! They are evil incarnate!

Ed McLaughlin handled the sale of our family land over the pandemic. He guided my sister and I to a great buyer who had a shared vision for the land's future and made the sale happen seamlessly. I have rented from Bovard Anderson for 9yrs almost and have moved into several different rentals in that time frame. I have always been treated very well by all members of the staff and management team. When there was a maintenance issue it was always handled and addressed promptly and respectfully to my time preferences for them to come in. I have never had any issues and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Any concern I have had has always been handled in the most professional manner. I appreciate all of the staff and all the work and help they have served me over the years. My go to rep for rentals is Jerry Flemming at the company and he has always been a pleasure to work with friendly, helpful, and always caring. He has put me into wonderful places over the years and I am thankful to him for all his help. They are a very trusting company to rent with.

Did not have a good experience with them tried to say we did not pay our water bill when we left and tried to bill us for it I had to prove I paid it when they could have called themselves I honestly believe they hoped we just would let it go so they could keep our money. Also very very slow getting repairs done. The handy men sent CUT WOOD IN OUR DINING ROOM & BEDROOM! Ruined our keyboard with sawdust I had to strip my bedding and rewash a basket of clothes. We have an outlet on the front and back porch. Very poor service.

This company will take your money without supplying you with any help in the rental area. They will lie and deceive you not to mention that their agents are sub par and will not remember that they spoke to you about houses. The owner does not care if you give them bad publicity or bad reviews it is all about the money for them. They rent out homes from owners who base their decisions solely on your credit score, but will not inform you of that up front. I am from Ohio and we are not subjected to this discrimination. It should be based solely on your income and a review from the last landlord. They will not return calls or show properties once you give them your money for a credit check. Beware of this rental agency. If you don't mind losing money then use them. IF I had an immaculate or even good credit score I certainly would not be renting from them I would buy a house.

Id give this company (i use the term company loosely) NEGATIVE stars if it was an option. I walked into the office today to make an appointment when I was immediately seen my an old man whose name I don't remember. I sat down for not even 30 seconds when I was blatantly judged on my appearance and told that they have no rentals available. He asked no questions other than what I was looking for. I have no pets, no children and yet I was told that despite the 1700+ rentals they claim to have, that they had no rentals for me? Wow. Talk about poor business ethics! Thank God I didn't give them a dime!
