Bad experience. After a week I ask for an update and the assistant handling my contract told me they had a problem reaching the seller. I am the seller!!! They couldn’t find filed documents and wanted me to send them to them-not my job! They hadn’t done any title work at all. This is after I had to leave Capital Title in Ft Worth for not being able to close in a timely manner. As an investor dealing with timelines and managing/ coordination transactions between buyers, sellers and lenders, waiting over a week to run title, start title work and not knowing who the parties are to the transaction is just unacceptable. Can anyone recommend a title company that actually gets things done?

    Response from the owner

Mr. Petite, we send our sincere apologies that this file was not completed in as timely a manner as you would have liked. Investor transactions can be complex and require meticulous attention, and we always try to balance efficiency with accuracy to make sure we're clearing title appropriately.

Zero communication, zero returned calls. My mortgage company needed title paperwork for a deed correction. My mortgage company has called for three weeks with zero returned calls. My closing is now delayed.

Go someplace else. Boston National was to pay my home insurance at the time of closing. Instead I received a notice that my insurance was pending cancellation due to non payment. Luckily Wells Fargo paid the premium from my new escrow account. Boston National has yet to refund me or my escrow account the funds. That is on top of other mistakes and not returning my calls or emails. I have refinanced and purchased previously and never had any issues until dealing with Boston National. I do not recommend them.

What a shady company. They conducted an illegal title transaction that cost me $5,000. And now they refuse to do anything about it, all the way up to the President of the company, Danny Helms. I wish I was never unfortunate enough to run into this shameful company...

    Response from the owner

Hello Mr. Johnson - Although we understand your frustration, you were not a customer of BNT of Texas, and we did not issue a policy of insurance for the property stated. We have no connection to you or this property and therefore are unable to assist with this matter.

BNT of Texas is a great place to get your title work done! They get their stuff done and have fun at the same time. It's a great atmosphere and everyone is friendly and inviting. Most importantly though, they are good at what they do and the customer service is excellent!!

ZERO STARS Extremely unprofessional… After 3 weeks of getting the run around and false promises of returned phone calls that NEVER came we were just informed that the “extra money” they were holding just in case just magically disappeared and left us with nothing after selling our house. We went from 30k profit to zero… DO NOT USE BNT, especially LUCY RANGEL or even her manager. They are nothing short of Scam Artists with a Frisco office.

The homebuying process is arduous and stressful. While my contacts at the bank involved were unresponsive or otherwise difficult to work with at times Shannon at BNT was highly professional, responsive and forthcoming with information as well as quite reasonable with her expectation of timing for me to work through the task list. I encountered no problems with BNT and the notary they provided was equally professional and helpful. BNT was recommended by my real estate agent. After working with them I'd also recommend them to anyone asking my opinion.

    Response from the owner

Thank you very much, Matthew! It was a pleasure working with you.

The notary was okay, but everything else was a mess. I had a simple rate and term and was scheduled for 5pm at my home. They had me scheduled as a home equity loan for 4pm at the title company to sign. To top everything off, I called my lender everyday about my current loan being paid off before my lock expires and the payoff expires and they never received anything from the title company. I called the title company several times. Finally reached someone who knew what to do and the payoff was NEVER mailed (not sure why they would be mailing such a large amount in the 21 century). She ended up voiding the checks and wiring the funds which the lender got in 30 minutes. She saved the day. But, if I did not know what to do it would have been a nightmare. I would not recommend. Update: I was contacted by the manager who apologized for the experience. She genuinely was sorry for the experience (I could hear it in her voice). She wanted to hear exactly what happened and wanted feedback on how they could improve. That made me feel valued. She made things right. I would reconsider using this title company again. Thank you for caring.

I can not express how frustrated I am with Boston National Title and specifically Shauna Effinger. They acknowledge an error at closing of paying our property insurance has taken over 30 days and STILL not resolved! I have paid this (now TWICE) to keep it current and compliant with my insurance and mortgage. I am unable to get them on the phone or by email and only after having my finically institution reach out to them multiple times do they respond. I am having to turn to blasting their social media in HOPES of a response and resolution to the problem. I always say everyone makes mistakes but how you respond shows who you really are. Just don’t walk but RUN away from Boston National Title. I have reached out to Michelle Nelson and I do NOT want an apology or “amend the problem” - FIX IT!

Have already closed several transactions with this awesome group of people. Great communication and smooth closings every time. My clients love that a mobile closer comes to them vs having to drive an office to sign docs. Definitely recommend!
