If I could give this bank 0 stars, I would. Not only is their logo racist, they are also now accepting a donated statue from the city of Rock Island that is racist and derogatory towards the Sauk Native American community. Such stereotypical images are condemned by the American Psychological Association (2005) and the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (2001), and they are also condemned by the *affected people themselves,* and yet the bank's decision to accept this gift and display this statue demonstrates that we have again refused to listen to our Sauk neighbors, with complete disregard for their community's history, health, safety, and sanctity. Yet another repetition of American history at its worst. Please do not accept the transfer of the statue, and instead work to make amends for the distress that this imagery has caused our Sauk neighbors.
