My father patronized this dealership for years and bought an SUV right before he passed. For sentimental reasons, my mother kept the vehicle in the driveway, mostly undriven for about a year. Recently my Mom asked me to assist her with selling the vehicle back to the dealership. Biggs gave her the price she wanted and more, and treated my Mom with nothing but the respect my Dad would have wanted for her. Great job Biggs, my Dad would have been very happy.

PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW: I had my 2007 Envoy towed to Biggs GMC because it would not start or shift. It was diagnosed with a broken transmission cable. After repair ($460.89) with shop rate of $142.50/hr. for 2 hours, I found all of the items inside my console on seat and floor, along with everything on console tray... BUT on top of that, the female part of my driver's side seatbelt was jammed so far down between the seat and console that I couldn't get it out and was forced to drive home without a seatbelt. The next morning I had to use a crowbar to wrench it back up in place. My disappointment in paying $142.50/hr. for such shoddy service was totally unacceptable, especially at a dealership. I called and gave the above detailed report to both Rick & John, the Managers and was offered an apology.

Received a text saying I would get status updates. I received nothing. I called to check on my car 4 times. I was told about 2 weeks. It was a month. I had 2 Browning floor mats in my trunk. My car was returned without the floor mats. I went in & asked if they were there, they couldn't find them. Got an attitude from the guy. He told me he wasn't going to argue over $20 to $30 dollars & to send him a bill & he would reimburse me. Picked up my car & it had smudges on it & my back license plate cover was bent up on both sides. Was told it may be tape residue or what was used to wash the car. REALLY???

Sales floor: Paul was one of the straightest shooters I’ve met at a dealership. I appreciated his candor and willingness to share knowledge, knowledge which will help me make a solid decision when we are ready to purchase. Service: I was underwhelmed at best. Here’s how I’d rate my experience based on what’s important to me… Greeting upon arrival: 6…I’m used to an unmistakable feeling of appreciation when walking through the doors at Sunset Cadillac of Sarasota Fl. They set the bar high and I’ve found it difficult to reproduce that same experience. I understand this is not a full Cadillac dealership. The service department entry felt congested and perhaps this is because of Covid. Auto Service: 8 ….in 2 hours changing the oil, rotating tires, topping off fluids etc seemed like a good deal. This could have been a 9 but, I had two issues that I wanted attended: 1-a problem in acceleration and 2-recommendation on 45,000 miles service. I neither received the 45,000 mile service, nor did I get an explanation on why I’m having the acceleration problem. I was told the tech was unable to reproduce the acceleration problem. After I probed the attendant for an explanation, she had nothing for me. My disappointment was this… if I bring a problem to a professional auto service establishment, there should be no way that I leave without a better understanding of my issue. I left the service center with the same level of knowledge I had upon arrival. Therefore, I’ll have to find another auto service center, one that I can get answers from, even if I have to wait for the answer while the tech discovers a solution to my problem.

Everyone at Biggs that I have dealt with from sales to service is truly service oriented and always treat you like a good friend. They drove 35 miles to pick up my truck for service and returned it when done the same day. They even washed my truck at no charge and I didn't even request that it be washed! Service doesn't get any better than this!

I can’t say how thankful I am for the service team at Biggs. I drove all the way down from NY to help some family move. As I arrived to Elizabeth city, my truck was having some issues. I called the dealership to see if they could fit me in so I would be able to make it back home. I spoke with John who was extremely understanding and helpful. He told me if I can get a tow, he couldn’t guarantee it would be fixed right away, but said he would do whatever he could to help me out. Got the truck to the dealership about 5pm on a Friday which was only an hour before they closed. At 9am the next morning, I received a call from Corey saying the technicians were testing driving it and I’m all set. I have never been more relieved. I was expecting the worst case scenario and to be stuck for a few days. So a huge thank you to John, Corey and the rest of the service team for getting me back on the road! Customer service like this is impossible to find.

I have a 2021 GMC 2500 Denali with a Duramax Diesel that I purchased from another dealership because it was the only one available that I could find at that time. It has the dreaded emissions system on it and one day I got a message on the dashboard to have it serviced by a dealer. I was close to Elizabeth City at the time so I found Biggs on my phone and went there. After talking to the service department they jumped right onto checking my truck out and found the issue and ordered the parts. They were as nice to me as if I had bought the truck from them. Even while I was waiting for the parts to come they would call and update me from time to time and when they got it fixed they handled the warranty. They even programmed a spare key fob for me which I paid for since it had nothing to do with warranty. I am really pleased with how they treat people and definitely will check them out when I am ready to buy another vehicle.

Took truck in Nov due to radio acting up was told in Nov radio had to be replaced. Crickets till Jan where I was told by Service Rep the radio was to be delivered in Jan, crickets again till I called in Mar, and then was told just so happened four radios were delivered on the previous Friday and one was mine. The new radio installation went smooth the fact that Biggs never called me once is the fact that drives my rating down.

Dropped my 2014 Yukon off this morning for the third time this week for the same problem. First time nothing was found to fix, second time I paid $1200 for an alternator and o2 sensor. The issue is still there and no one seems to care what we say about what the potential problem is.

This is not a sales or service review, but more of a care and be there review for this dealership. This dealership goes above and beyond for their customers! Here's WHY! I was walking in the service door, was going to be a first time customer, as I just moved here from GA. I went to the restroom and was getting ready to walk up to service desk but they had customers. So I waited back, (precaution for Covid) and that is when the lady at the left desk passed out. It was severe, that's all I will say here, but they ran to get a girl from the front to assist her. This girl, a employee of Biggs, come running and jumped right in. She knew what she was doing, and you could tell she had some kind of medical knowledge. She assisted the lady to her abilities until she called for another guy to help her start CPR. Together they did an AMAZING job until the EMS arrived, 20 min or so. Them 2 employees, especially the red headed girl was amazing, professional and on point. You guys have a true heart of gold woman there on your team, and I hope she and your dealership are blessed beyond measure. There are not many good people that would do something like that for a complete stranger. Love and hugs goes out to that girl, may she blessed as she blesses others around her! Bless Biggs!

The best dealership in Elizabeth City!!! If you need a car this is the only place you should go. These people are on it. You can trust them and they take care of customers. I have bought 2 used cars from them in the past few years.

I used the service department for a warranty repair which ended up being a transmission replacement. I have absolutely no problem with the workmanship. My vehicle works great. My problem is in the professionalism of the technician(s) that had contact with my SUV. They did nothing to protect the carpeted floor mats in the vehicle. Fortunately, I was able to steam clean the floormats and remove the oily stains left behind. I was also able to clean the oil drops off of the leather seat. It seems they never heard of putting paper down to protect the floors of a customer's vehicle. I know they cannot help getting greasy/dirty shoes and hands, but the transfer of this to the vehicle could have been prevented. UPDATE: I received the response shown below. I appreciate the apology and that the technician being addressed. Now, the statement of "for the trouble it created you, stop by when you're in town sometime and ask for the BDC manager" was made. I did just that yesterday. All I got was "Do you want to talk about it?" No offer of anything for the trouble. I even gave the BDC manager an out by telling him I had an air pressure sensor going bad in one of my tires and had the part ordered. It would have been nice if he had offered to install it at no cost to me, but that didn't happen. I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 1 star as they seem to be all talk and no action.

First, Scott (finance) and Franco (salesperson) were great to work with. Barry, the sales manager, was completely rude and dismissive. I found the 2021 GMC Yukon online. Called to place a deposit and waited over a week as it was stuck in transit. The day it arrived on the lot, I was notified. The sales manager was annoyed that I wasn't able to come purchase it right away. After I rearranged my schedule to accommodate his annoyance, I then drove 3 hours (each way) for the vehicle. Barry never talked with me directly even though I offered to speak with him multiple times as we were struggling to agree on pricing. He never even acknowledged me directly. He walked in and out of the building repeatedly with no attempt at a hello, goodbye, or explanation on why we couldn't agree on the numbers. In the end, I purchased the new vehicle - thanks to Scott and Franco, and I brought my Tahoe home. Two of the other sales people congratulated me on the purchase and Barry walked right behind them, no acknowledgement, and left. In all the vehicle purchases I have done - new or used, $15k or $75k, I have never had a sales manager be so rude, dismissive, and difficult to work with. Given the state of the market today, I understand every penny counts. But so does every available vehicle to sell. My impression is the dealership would have worked with me on a fair trade-in value, meeting somewhere closer to middle, and have an extremely good condition used vehicle for sale in their local area. In the end, he never explained to me directly his position or costs. He only said a number to the salesperson and wouldn't move. I did my research. I knew the market value. And I already have people inquiring on my Tahoe (2017) which I brought home with me. In my opinion, an unnecessary loss for Biggs. He is an absolute risk to the success of Biggs. I will never recommend the dealership due to him. The only reason for my 3 star rating is to not be unfair to Scott or Franco.

I was really interested in purchasing the year make and model of the vehicle I bought for quite some time, but was very hesitant to do so because the whole process of going to a dealership and handling the pressure and sales tactics of the sales team is so incredibly stressful to me. The last 2 vehicles I purchased were new (at different dealerships) and I was beyond uncomfortable with the pressure they put on me and then finding them sneaking add-ons into the contract that I stated I did not want. I made myself go and just test drive this vehicle, knowing I could walk away if I had to deal with that at Biggs too. I was pleasantly surprised that they treated me well, offered suggestions and options without pressure, didn't try to talk me into anything I didn't want, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. This was literally the best car buying experience I have had in my life. I am very happy with my vehicle and don't intend on shopping for another anytime soon, but I will absolutely go back to Biggs when the time comes that I'm ready to purchase again. I've literally told everyone I know in the area to go to Biggs if they're in the market for a vehicle.
