As far as pawn shops go this is as good as it gets. Not because it's fancy or flashy but the employees here are were the gold is at. They will actually help you out in a financial emergency instead of take advantage of you. They aren't a bunch of new hires either. 90% of them have been there several years. Many of them have actually grown to become my friends. This is a pawn shop for people. I highly recommend them. It's also a great place to snag an incredibly good deal on items sometimes so keep an eye out! Employees of particular note are Spencer, Devante, Bree, Jesus, and Michael. Keep it up guys and gal!

Literally told me my tools were too new looking (implying that they were stolen) and denied me business. Lol, I am sorry I keep my tools in great condition in the molded cases they came in. As a former customer, will never be returning

I stopped to look at and maybe purchasing two bicycles for our kids. They opened up the area where the bicycles were and they had a great selection. I bought both bicycles there and was given a great price on both. Their customer service is unparalleled to any of the other shops in Denton. I have also pawned objects when I was low on money and was able to get more than a fair price. They are very reasonable on giving what something is worth when pawning an object and there price to retrieve what you have pawned is not outrageous. They are also willing to work with you if you are low on money and not able to get back what you have pawned on a contracted date payment is due. They have great prices all over their shop in all different categories. They are very warm and friendly and I will continue to go back there and purchase more items.

I have been doing business with these guys at the Denton, TX location for years. I have always been treated with respect. A bunch of great people work there. They will work with you on any transaction/payment issues. I highly recommend that you visit them and check out the great prices Especially here at Christmas time. They have lay-a- way too! Thomas has the absolute worst customer service, he makes you feel like he doesn’t want to sale you anything and his smart remarks only make the matters worst. I only come back because I have doin business here for almost 15 years.... if anyone else on the staff was like him at all I wouldn’t recommend it BUT everyone else is very nice and polite and for that reason I will continue to come back... I will encourage people to stay away from Thomas unless u want to be treated poorly

BEST pawn shop I have ever worked with! They are very friendly and willing to work with you. They give you fair prices for sales and pawn. Great prices on in store products (TVs, cameras, computers, jewelry, ect..)

Big State Pawn has changed ownership, they are now owned by a corporation. The name on the receipt is First Cash Pawn #330. The employees are wonderful as long as you are giving them money. But if you have an issue..... you are on your own. Don't even bother telling them about your problem, they do NOT care. Be extremely sure you want what they are selling, because once they have your money they wash their hands of any responsibility. I will NOT be stepping foot in their doors again, I just lost $72.00.

The 3 stars is for personality. I am not sure if the employee was touched or thought I was but he offered me 20.00 for a Bose soundbar solo 5 and 40.00 for a smart 3 Bose soundbar both with remotes never bothered to test them. Someone needs testing I can say that I have never been so insulted. " wow".

Honest I got what I asked for didn’t try to lowball like other pawn shops

I put a pair of diamond earrings on layaway for my daughter put 75.00 down. I got home and realized my husband bought my daughter the same earrings. I went back to cancel the layaway 2 hours later. NOT 24 HOURS, ONLY 2 HOURS. They refused to give me any of my money back. Told me they couldn't cancel the layaway, told me to buy them for a friend. This is the worst Pawn shop. They don't have a dayum thing in there anyway. I will be contacting corporate offices.

For the location, a person wouldn't expect to be greeted with such a variety of quality items and a genuinely friendly staff. my experience there was better than most any other pawn business I have been to. Great prices and willing to negotiate towards a higher desired price if pawning or selling your own items.
