The prices they have are so fair, you don't even want to haggle. They know what people are actually paying for stuff, unlike most places that want near retail for junk. These people are real. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Small space, but a great experience. Good variety of nice stuff. Plenty of 2hr. Parking around.

This is probably one of the best pawn shops I’ve been to when it comes to customer service. So very much different from the Wheaton ones, they don’t even know the prices for things over there. This pawnshop has very good prices, I always receive great deals from both Alex and Ingrid, I’ve been coming here for around 6 years and Ingrid has been consistently friendly, funny, and professional. She’s one of the veterans and she knows what she’s doing. Alex is cool as well, and hes helpful when it comes to testing out the stuff and gives me a good laugh. I rarely sell my stuff because most of what I wanna sell is old since I don’t need it anymore. Some stuff is new in the box but most pawn shops don’t buy older versions of stuff no matter how much you think the retail price is. So watch out for that. I did sell an older laptop I had, and surprisingly I got $100 bucks for it when I totally expected $25, I mean come on, it’s a pawn shop, what do you expect? Anyway, I could go on all day. It was my first time buying anything from a pawn shop and I had many questions and concerns. The associate Alex made sure that I felt comfortable and that all of my questions were answered. I wasn't too knowledable of how much space I'd need for a hard drive , and Alex made sure that I got the one that was best for my Mac book. 6 months later it's still working great, creating room for more space on my laptop.

I've never sold anything to a pawn shop because of my generally poor impression of them. I was really surprised to see the great reviews on here so I went to this store. It's telling that the vast majority are for buyers and not sellers. For me, this store fit the movie stereotype where someone brings in something objectively valuable and is offered a pittance instead. I had a newly-purchased 18k 4mm solid gold band with the 75% mark and was offered $20. Yet, looking around the store, all items on display are dusty and used; jewelry in the display case looks worn and very little appear to be precious metals. In short, very little was of the quality of the item I was offering. My conclusion is that when it comes to jewelry at least, if you have something of value you are likely to get maybe 10% of the true value of the item if you're lucky. At that going rate you may as well sell your item yourself, or bring it to a more reputable place. I'd pass on this. Edited on 10/22 to respond to vendor: My review is intended to guide others who are hoping to sell items at this store. My bottom line remains. The average individual cannot fix the retail market and the expectation that anyone coming to a pawn shop should is ridiculous.They only know what they have paid--and what comparable items are currently selling for, and that is the guiding principle that they are bringing to this store. Therefore, the average person looking to sell gold jewelry and comparing their offer at this store to what they have paid will NOT be satisfied here. Those who are fellow gold buyers and pawn shop owners may be free to revel here. However, as I mentioned, again, the everyday person is still more likely to have a better return if they sold the item themselves through ebay, poshmark or similar site. That is a fact. 01/02/20 I did in fact shop this item around and received double your offer at Pawn Express in Wheaton. Additionally, as I knew based on the paperwork I received when I bought the ring, and from what they weighed right in front of me on a digital scale (and not off to the side as the staff person at Best Pawn did) it was over a gram of gold and not what was claimed here. I'd highly recommend Pawn Express. Honest, respectful and fair.

Upon arrival I was not greeted in a friendly manner. The energy I got from being there felt like none of the employees wanted me in the store. I felt very unwelcome. & to make my experience a lot worse I came in looking to pawn a brand new pair of $200 headphones still in the box unopened only to be told tht I would be given 10 bucks. I’m not sure if this employee by the name of ingrid was not trying to service me or what. I was told initially tht the price is one third of wholesale. Everytime she is there she will play you for boo boo the fool. Not a place to pawn but definitely a good place to buy as they sell for cheap since they buy for cheap I’m assuming. I will only return if Alex or the other guy or even the other girl with the glasses. But as far as this Ingrid employee is concerned I won’t be walking through those doors while she is there. Worst experience I’ve had here and I’ve been Going for 5 plus years. The service Ingrid provided me with was very unprofessional and unpleasant.

I lost some valuable items of mine to a theft in the area. And the owner/employees of this shop helped me find and relocate my belongings with the upmost care and consideration. If you don’t come here for anything else, their service is outstanding.

Taryn is such a sweetheart! Her customer service skills are a blessing in the community of Silver Spring/Georgia Avenue. She has truly made my day by her kind spirit and we shared a WELL NEEDED laugh. Thank you so much for your service and thank you for negotiating properly.

Really great staff for the most part. The lady manager is always helpful and considerate. Really seems like she knows what she's doing. The others are nice too. I go there often cuz my kids break my things often :/ bought a laptop and it works like new! Was $400 and got it for almost half, I mean come on. The place is kinda small but it's a good experience nonetheless. Parking blows! >.<

Great customer service ! , was having problems trying to understand how pawning works & Jessenia was very helpful on helping me understand it a bit better. Also took her time to show me things around the store and was very sweet and nice and I didn't feel like I was being rushed. Felt welcome since I first came in and the moment I left the store!! Great pawn shop. Just got a great Gibson Maestro electric guitar at an unbeatable price. Ingrid was super kind and helpful. I'll definitely be going back.
