I have called on Beryl Engineering and I must tell you that first off, Kimberly Austin is a true asset to this firm. She is very responsive and helpful. She made the experience very comfortable with no stress. Leo is definitely an expert and is very helpful with his knowledge. What an awesome team. If you need an engineer call Beryl!

We been having structural issues on the second floor of our new built with Westbay - our builder from the first year of us moving in. It has been a long frustrating process as the builder has tried to denied it is their fault, and responsibility to fix the structural issues. Finally, my husband & I decided to hire Berly engineering for a thorough inspection. Mr.Patrick was very professional and pay attention to details. After the inspection, we were provided a full detailed report. Mr.Leo and Mr.Patrick even do a follow up, to check on your case., which is very professional. I highly recommend Berly Engineering!!

The two gentlemen came out, very professional and did a thorough job of the property inside and out. They had the right tools to do their forensic testing of the whole household. I would recommend them if needing their services.

EVEN AFTER spending over $6,000.00 and their request for more more money to do what i asked for in the first place, I decided that it would be much more to my advantage and peace of mind to go with another firm. (which I did and am very happy) In the words of my contractor, "Waiting for Beryl to send back the affidavit I sent them. Those people are the worst I have ever dealt with!" I couldn't agree with him more. So before Beryl tries to sidestep my warning to people looking for a good engineering company by doubletalk or excuses, let it be known that I have many an email to back up what I have to say about the wrong measurements, lack of follow through, inability to communicate, lack of availability to interact, no communication within the company, and on and on, . . . So I am more than happy to warn those that might be considering hiring Beryl: Too expensive, too incompetent, too lazy, too dysfunctional and more: Those people are the worst I have ever dealt with!" Save yourself from an expensive, waste of time, similar HORRIFIC experience. Hire a different company!

The service was exceptional. I called from Alaska on behalf of my mom's property in Tampa - not knowing what to expect but needing to meet a deadline for an inspection. We were given an appointment within days of the call. Why should my emergency matter to Beryl? It just did and I'm so grateful!

If I could give them no stars I would. I close on my house next Monday and after being set for inspection with them on the Friday before they cancelled with no explanation and stated we would just have to move our closing date. Extremely unreliable and unprofessional.

I had been looking for a company to help me close out a permit, I called 20 companies. I found Beryl and at first thought they were too good to be true. They exceeded all of my expectations. John did a really thorough inspection on a home we recently closed on. He did a fantastic job walking us through the house during the inspection going into detail on his findings. I would definitely recommend him and Beryl Engineering.

This company completely failed at the one thing they were hired to do: find major problems that would require expensive repairs on a 100 year old house. Floor joists had fallen from their supports, which caused a staircase to fall, major plumbing failed after we moved in (all of which was visible from a crawlsapce), a garage roof had been leaking for an extended time, casing structure damage. We are on the hook for as much as $100,000 because the inspector missed these things. This is house #7 for me, in three different states. The only time an inspection service flubbed so badly. Stay away.

I'm in the process of purchasing my first home and Beryl was great to work with for my inspection. During my inspection, water wasn't turned on so my inspector wasn't able to review the inspect the plumbing system. We had to wait for the city to resolve it. Lance sent us the report without the water. Then after the city came out, he went back out on his own, inspected the plumbing and then sent us an updated report with the plumbing, free of charge. Thanks Lance!!

Beryl came through when we really needed them. They were able to do what our normal engineer could not or would not do. They were able to do it and will be our first call for future needs. We appreciate the outstanding service!

Hans Ulmer was very professional and competent. We felt that he listened to our concerns and addressed them during the inspection. His report was very thorough.

The inspector, Patrick Condra was polite, on time for the appointment, professional, very thorough, and I got the report on the same day. He crawled under my house to inspect and take pictures of the beams and piers. The report was very thorough, professionally written, and I am very happy with the service provided. Out of all the houses I have bought, I never knew you could get such a complete and thorough inspection on a house. Phenomenal report, even more thorough than expected, finding the smallest defect and the proper working of the entire structure. As a home buyer in such a competitive market I felt confident that I had a very thorough inspection done. My inspector found several issues with the house that I would have had no idea about. My report was done in a timely manor it was clear and easy to read. It came with pictures of items that needed repaired and I was able to go back to the contractor with exactly what needed to be fixed. I would give 20 stars if I could

As a Real Estate Investor I work and talk with many people. Beryl by far is who I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Once call to Kimberly, and I was by extremely impressed. Very efficient and worked on what I needed the first day and put me on schedule. Beryl Project Engineering did a home inspection for me on a house that is 93 years old! They did a great job, crawled under a tight crawlspace, came back with extreme details on anything they saw, and at the end of it talked to me like a person to explain it all. They did this all on super quick notice too! It was a quick turn around 30 day closing and they were able to get out to the house in just a day, and had the report turned around and in my hands just a day or two after that! Very good experience, highly recommend!

I contracted Beryl Project Engineering to conduct a structural inspection because another company had made an assessment of my property that did not seem honest and thorough. Needless to say this other company was trying to take advantage of me in the situation that I was in. Beryl demonstrated they are an extremely professional and ethical company, not to mention highly experienced and qualified. They completed their inspection, provided an excellent, fair, and honest assessment that in the long run saved me thousands of dollars. If you want to work with an ethical and professional engineering company I highly recommend Beryl Project Engineering.

This review comes after 5 months of owning our personal residence in St. Petersburg. We did a full home inspection, 4 point, and Wind Mitigation through Beryl. James Holland was our inspection. On the initial inspection he caught an old roof and old water heater, saving us about $7000 in repairs up front, which we made the seller fix prior to moving in. About 2 months into living in the home, we noticed stair step cracking in the concrete block. We asked Beryl to come out and take a look again, in which they determined the wall had settled due to poor grading and water gathering by it. I was upset this was not caught on the initial inspection. Fixing the grading and the cracks in the wall cost me $5400 out of pocket. Also, James did not check for hurricane straps in our attic on the wind mitigation report, so I'll be crawling up there to take pictures of them. Overall, I like the owner of Beryl, Leo Cannon, and do believe he runs a solid operation. I do not recommend James Holland for home inspection though, therefore, this review is four stars instead of five.

Beryl Project Engineering completed the inspection on our new home. They were able to deal directly with my realtor as I was unable to attend and emailed me the final report. They were very thorough and took the time to show the realtor any problems discovered and then I contacted them by phone and spoke at length about any concerns. I appreciate the thoroughness of their report and would highly recommend them. Thank you.
