Bank of the West Mchenry Ave, Modesto

Horrible customer service experience, I have never been treated more rudely than the way Julie Mayfield, the manager of the Modesto branch on McHenry Ave in Modesto treated me. I attempted to cash one of their clients checks. I was told that they had to call to verify the check. After waiting 20 minutes on hold, the branch manager told me I would have to wait in the lobby or leave. I called the phone number on the front of the check in front of her and got verification from the business that issued the check immediately. I'm guessing the branch employees have to call the same customer service number that regular customers do and wait on hold like anyone else. As far as I'm concerned, Bank of the West couldn't care less about serving customers. They obviously don't employ enough people to answer the phone to assist their branch employees much less regular customers.

ALWAYS helpful (no matter which branch I visit). It's a bank that doesn't mind giving people a chance at having an account when 'life happens' to you! I'm ALWAYS made to feel like an actual person and not just another number like at the so called larger banks ((i.e. Wells Fargo, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, etc)). Those banks have all of those astronomical fees for NO reason - just to SCREW the blue collar, hard-working individual out of his/her hard earned money!! Bank of the West is the absolute BEST!!

Worst company ever! Not only when I got a bunch of fees that weren't my fault but the guy I called to talk to was rude as can be when I called to see if there was anything they can do I got a 'close your account if you're not happy' all I asked was you to help me understand and see if it was really that necessary but I closed my account and am I proud customer of Bank of America!

They charge you $9.50 to cash a check issued by them lmao teach me to try and be a new customer

would like to share some things that bank of the west had done. very bad customer service and having 6 people behind the counter walking around and only 2 at the counter helping costumers. scamming people telling them that there loans are going to be approved and after you pay the fees. they never call you back or even tell you that the person handling your loan no longer works for Bank of the West.

Everybody at this branch is friendly. If I have questions they are always happy to give me the information I need and additional resources I could use. It's always a breeze using this bank for my needs. Thank you for being so warm and helpful always 😊

ATMs constantly down, disrespectful, prejudice towards customers. Never banking here again.
