Bank of the West Crown Valley Pkwy, Mission Viejo

Been with bank of the west for years and as a bank they are ok - this branch, however, is the absolute worst. Had several major wire transfers for a home purchase where the teller screwed up major things on every single one. Avoid this location in favor of the one up in Irvine.

Over the years, I have changed banks due to poor customer service. Choosing BotW for their business options and tools has been for the best. Personal experience and observations has been great customer service to not only me, but also fellow patrons. Corporate etiquette is definitely at play here although I can see there is much personal attentiveness. Honestly not sure if this is indicative of all branches but definitely the Mission Viejo branch. Keep up the good work.

I normally bank at a different branch, but happened to be near Mission Viejo a couple of weeks ago, wanting to get some cash out of my checking account. Arriving around 2:00 PM, I found a sign on the door indicating that the branch would be closed "until 1:45." Another man and I stood outside the glass door and noticed a few bank employees milling around behind the counter. They all ignored us for several minutes, but finally a young woman came over to speak to us. We asked about the re-opening of the office which was supposed to have occurred at 1:45. "Oh!", she said, and hurried away. She came back a moment later and "solved" the problem by taking down the sign! Another minute or two passed, and we were finally told that the office was not going to be open. "But you can use the drive-through lane if it's something that can be done there." It apparently had not occurred to any of the geniuses at this branch to post a sign on the door that said something like "Lobby closed today -- Please use drive-through." BTW, there are two drive-through lanes at this branch, neither of which is equipped with red/green lights or other indicators of lanes being closed or open. Their "signal" that one lane was closed was an unoccupied SUV parked in that lane. Fortunately we had not waited behind that SUV before discovering its purpose as a "signal."

If you enjoy being profiled by what you are wearing or the color of your skin, then come on down. I have banked with these guys for over 13 years and was disgusted at how I was treated recently. Could not deposit my check without having an unreasonable hold placed on it (never happened in 13 years) and then when I tried to give them cash, they wouldn't take it unless privacy laws we're violated. I was told that a questionnaire was necessary for a cash deposit and answered all the questions fine but they would not proceed until i answered personal questions about my wife without her permission. To see this still happening in today's society is truely concerning.

I was working with this bank over 25 yeas,since they were fir open Tokio Bank,than Sanwa Bank than Bank of The West and last BNP. Actually not the Bank of the West should be the WORST. Many locations I specially went almost all branch are short hand and tellers needs better training with better managers.

I hate this Bank. I hate all Bank of the West locations. They are stuck in the 70s (technology wise) and treat customers like crap. They are owned by a French company and think they are better than their US counterparts (just ask them). Their technology is in the dark ages and most importantly their people are the rudest in the industry. There is a manger name Gale here that is the worse.

Horrible customer service. Just to withdraw from your account, you will wait at least 30 minutes.
