Eric is always so helpful and kind. Everyone in this branch is very friendly, but I think Eric goes above and beyond. Been banking with them a long time and never once had an issue they couldn't fix.

    Response from the owner

Thank you, Annastasia! We love hearing comments about fantastic team members like Eric. Thanks for your kind words, and for trusting us with your financial needs.

Don’t bank here, especially if you or your loved one is elderly. A one-star rating is generous. Co-signed loans here can put both borrower and co-signer in jeopardy. Three attorneys said standard practice is for co-signed loans in good standing to move to the borrower upon co-signer death. Bank of Tennessee dinged my father’s estate for loans he co-signed, some with less than $200 remaining. While not common, it is within their right to call a co-signed loan. Just know that this can cause delays, extra expenses, lawsuits, property loss, etc. I was executress of an estate that Bank of Tennessee delayed for more than a year due to co-signed loans. They failed to file a release AFTER all loans were resolved for a full 5 months until I personally found their mistake & contacted their attorney for a release. Their shoddy business ethics and management practices are costly for those settling an estate that involves them. In addition, a comparison of local interest rates shows that they come in last. Multiple questionable business ethics and mistakes at this bank cost me thousands. They didn’t even offer an apology. My worst experience with any bank! I recommend taking your business to a more responsible banking institution with solid financial ethics.

Had very poor experiences with Bank of Tennessee. Multiple times they deposited my money into the wrong accounts. I even gave them my birthday and SS and they still deposited my money into another account. I understand an accident but it happened four times. Their App was super buggy, would often show the wrong amount in my account, and took forever to update. Then I tried to apply for a car loan, and the process was trivial and uneccesary, then they ended up denying the loan. We went to another bank and we were approved immediately.

Not open on Saturdays, not even for limited hours, and mobile banking is not very good. I have used a mobile banking app with another bank, and it worked pretty well. Bank of Tennessee's mobile banking app is awful. It always says the pic is "blurry" even when it's not, and it ends up taking me awhile (with multiple retakes) just to deposit one single check (this is a corporate issue, not just this location, but I'm hoping corporate will see this review and do something about the app).

    Response from the owner

Hi Kay, thank you for your feedback. Sounds like we may have let you down with our hours and our mobile app, we're very sorry. We would like to let you know that we have added Saturday banking service in many of the areas we serve. Currently, we've implemented Drive Thru PLUS, featuring Interactive Teller Machines (with live tellers), at our E Center Street Branch in Kingsport, Village Branch in Elizabethton, Roan Mountain Branch, and Mt. Juliet, TN Branch. You can bank with us at any of these locations Monday - Saturday, 7am -7pm EST. We are looking to expand this service in the future to our other branches. If you are having trouble making check deposits with your mobile device, we can help you. Just stop by any branch and we'll take a look at your device to make sure you have the latest version installed and troubleshoot your app. Or feel free to call us at 866.378.9500. Again, we want your experience with us to be the best, and we are here to help. Thanks for being our customer! -- Bank of Tennessee Customer Care Team
