Bank Of Baroda Park Ave, New York

I went to the bank in New York to get help with verification of my india account. They were a complete waste of time. First they asked that I make an appointment 15 days in advance. I live in LA. Then they asked if I would step outside the office and pay $25 online without even checking if I had the right paperwork. What a shame

This is the worst bank to work with. People working here are really unprofessional. They don’t know how to talk to customers and not helpful at all. I guess it is right what they say about Indian Institutions and agencies.

Very rude most uncooperative staff always on hold and not available worst experience they should first teach the staff some manners costomers are not beggars

I needed to perform some banking activities with Bank of Baroda in India and was having difficulty planning the steps. I reached out to BoB New York branch. From the CEO, Mr. Elango to the chief manager, Mr. Raman Kumar, to Ms. Vijaya and Ms. Rima, they were very helpful and proactive. I opened two CDs with Bank of Baroda New York branch and they were initially helpful. However, they haven't sent 1099-INT forms and so I'm stuck and can't file my tax return. I guess they need lots of push and prod as they are after all sarkari babus. My email hasn't been answered and phone went to VM. Next time, I will put my CD in a proper American Bank for a little less interest rate. After writing the above review, I received the 1099-Int form on Feb 4 (IRS expects it to be delivered by 01/31). So, they are not that bad ... slightly inefficient. Did I have any better expectation from BoB? NO!

First remove international from your name if you are going to behave like you are working in India with zero customer service & rude answer.Person answer the phone said google this and call the branch in India.If they were so prompt in answering phone would have never called USA number. Bank peon in India have more knowledge than this guy.

Extremely horrible service over the phone. The person at the reception desk is so rude. Improve your service you live in America and learn to be polite when talking to customers. I would never recommend this bank.

This bank does not provide customer service, there is no one to pick the phone.

Their online banking system is a nightmare and coded by inept people. It's in no way user friendly. Plus after tonnes of emails, nothing ever gets done properly.

Worst and horrible customer service! Total hopeless so-called chief manager Alshay Ranjan! Only the security guy is more compassionate and understanding than any body! Even with the second wave of covid-19, Akshay fulfilling on his own whims and wishes just insisted on visiting the bank in person despite he knows that my Dad is 75 years old, a senior citizen for the signature in life certificate which is essential for pension. With the technological advancement, this can be done through face time but no he thinks face time is acceptable in India but not in USA as he believes that he is the owner of entire Bank of Baroda. Politeness, courteousness is not in his dictionary. He never thinks that customers sitting in the branch should be prioritized and that has happened in the previous years as well. Total disappointment!
