Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM) Reviews

I believe banking should be a personal experience; as a form of job security it would make sense for bank tellers to value someone who wants to visit a branch. Not here, while explaining this customer, who started with Ben Franklin and has stayed with the same "bank" through several purchases, has been inconvenienced by the closure of the Allenmore branch and lack of ATMs near me I was met with a shrug and told they want us all to conduct our business online. That sealed the deal for me. I'll be in search of a bank that values my presence and makes being their customer easy. Based on the visit I just had I'll be expecting a thank you when I inconvenience B of A with my my next, and last, in person visit.

This is the ONLY Bank of America in Tacoma now that's fast, efficient, and worth visiting! There's never a long wait and the staff is quick. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is that they no longer have a drive-thru window that's open.
Thank you for the positive review about your recent experience with Bank of America. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know. ^chris

Poorly run branch, awful service. Shame on BofA. Closing my account with these swindlers and taking my business elsewhere. Stay away from this awful company.

This place was horrible. As I was standing in line to cash a check labeled bank of america, a person was comming in to complain about the rude service in the drive thru, the banker then asked me if I was a member of the bank and I declined, then she told me I had to sit down with a banker to cash a $50 personal check that was issued to me by someone, I sat in the lobby for a few minutes, never had to do that before, the banker walked my way and I am assuming because she overheard I was not a member of the bank. She decided to ask the people next to me if they needed her help, she was quite aware that I was in front of them in line previously. Lastly the banker walked right past me not even looking at me, sat at her desk... took a sip of her coffee... by that point I walked out and decided to just cash the stupid check at my own bank. Bad service. Rude service. This branch manager should be ashamed.

Always a great experience when visiting this branch. But I especially had a good experience with the assistant manager, Jennifer. She took care of my needs and was so polite and efficient. Great place to bank.
Hi Jeff, Thanks for letting us know how helpful Jennifer was during your financial center visit. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know what we’re doing well. ^susan

This branch is incredibly understaffed for being the only open branch currently in Tacoma. The short hours are completely inaccessible for anyone who works a 9-5 job. This is the third day in a row I have gone to this branch during my one hour lunch break to get quarters to do laundry and there is always just two tellers there helping people, with a line out of the door of people needing to be helped, and I was never successful in receiving the help I needed. I used to come to Bank of America because of how large of a bank it is and how readily available it was no matter where I went in the country, but I will be leaving in the new year. This bank is a completely unreasonable situation, having a single branch open in a large city like Tacoma, and it is no longer serving my needs.

Locations closing and not enough staff where they are open. Not paying people enough to work for them.

I have been going to this branch for almost 14 years. Needed to add a name to my account. Arrived at 5:17, was checked in, then at 5:30 was told I cannot be seen today cause there was a person ahead of me.....Derek was the banker and I couldn’t be more frustrated! Are all Bank of America locations not able to help customers, especially ones that have been with bank since they came to our state, a bit after 6PM?!!! And who knows, it might have only taken a few minutes! Ridiculously horrible service. The never ending change of people at this branch is really taking a toll on customer service. Fix it Bank of America....absolutely unacceptable.

This is a great branch. Yes, if you want to rant, you can say, 'no way do I want to deal with an evil multinational branch, but the rating is not the overall entity but the location, staff, vibe. The administrative manager Heidi is a true gem. She has been with BAC for 26 years, maybe 27 by now. One day she will retire, but she is still there. Brings me joy just to see her. When now and again, I have a small problem, I can get it taken care of. Yes, lines can be longer, but move along. Its far worse at University Place, or bullet proof glass customer experience on S. Union?? Or a massive link, at Crossroads in Bellevue (worked close by)? The reason I bank at this company is, having been with US Bank for 25 years, with lots of good service and fair treatment, had to go, since when I was back east, had to awkwardly mail money or incur wire fees. So resolved to have a bank, that was in every major city. Evil big company? Sure. Relative to all of it, its all rotten, a matter of less worse. What I want, is to know I can go to any major city and see a face, and do my business. That said, be careful and watch for fees. Among the most aggressive banks for this. The nicest, best branch I know of this company.
