Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM) Reviews

They refused a cash deposit. What kind of bank doesn't take cash? Seriously, I had cash in hand filled out a deposit slip and was turned away by the teller. Then as I was leaving they tried to get me to open another account there. On a previous visit they refused to cash a Bank of America check because at the time I didn't have an account with them. Who in their right mind would want to work with this place? I would give them 0 stars if I could.

    Response from the owner

Hi Jonathan. Thanks for reaching out to us. Due to security measures and regulations that we must follow, we do not accept third party cash deposits to consumer accounts. You are able to purchase a money order or cashiers' check and deposit into the account. This is to better manage the risks associated with cash to understand who is transacting on accounts. We understand the inconvenience of this and apologize. ^marty

Recently I started using this location and I was worried about the service due to the online reviews. I was surprised because they only have been great and supportive with every transaction. Keep in mind, all Banks are pushing for more online business. I think after COVID, and as a customer, we became impatient. Busy location at closing hours. Highly recommended.

    Response from the owner

This branch is wonderful. Efficient, professional, and clearly there to serve their customers. Joban is a great manager, and runs a really good operation. Highly recommend the staff.

Waited for half an hour for a banking associate. The office didn't seem so busy when 3 employees were standing around and talking to each other. The least you could do is checking in, or acknowledging a customer. I was startled by such unprofessional, unimpressive customer service. Then I look at other reviews on here and they are not wrong. Bank of America, you just lost an eleven- year- long customer.

Wow, so unprofessional staff! Went in today to cash a check and wasn’t even greeted properly. The teller just looked at me and even after I said hi she didn’t respond. I handed her a check I was looking to cash after selling my car. She turned around to show the manager and the manager promptly said “if you don’t have an account with us we won’t cash this check”. Instead, she could have said, “sure we can cash this check once you open an account with us. We have several bank account options to fit you and your family. How can we help you with that today?” Not sure this bank wants the business when it focuses on turning potential customers away rather than looking to solve their concerns. The regional manager of this branch needs a lesson in customer service and increasing sales if the staff are going to act so unprofessionally.

Wonderful customer service and a very friendly atmosphere! I have been frequenting this branch multiple times a week for months now and am always pleased with my experience. The staff works as quickly as professionally possible without rushing you. If you have issues with a wait time as I saw a few commenters did before, try going at non peak times. (Lunch) Again great staff, wonderful customer service! Thanks guys!!

Went in to complete a wire transfer. Manager assisted me and suggested I use my phone. Today I receive a call saying wire not complete. Of course not, because they did an ach transfer. Why bother??? Complete this transfer and give me and close my 3 accounts I’ve had over 12 years!!!! I’m so tired of Bank of America. And literally was on hold for over 50 minutes. I had to hang up, after all, I was at work!

So you are telling me no matter how many times a day I call to talk to a bank employee, the branch is ALWAYS busy with another customer? I don't think so. Hoping for a Haymarket Branch to open and MAYBE service will be better.

Wait times are typically longer than what would be considered "average." It seems that this bank is understaffed for the demand. This bank really pushes customers to use automated tellers. The ATM's work well. Try not to come here on a Saturday unless you have no other choice. The tellers and bankers are polite.

I relied on the teller assist service so I could cash amd deposit my checks faster since I usually don’t get off work until late. With taking that away and having to leave work early to stand in line while ONE teller was helping customers is outrageous espically on a Friday. The teller assist option helped me overlook the laundry list of other ridiculous offenses but I believe it might be time to find another bank.
