Bank of America Corporate Center Reviews

Bank of America allows scammers to open a fictitious business bank account and defraud me out of over $7000.00. I went through my bank and submitted claims. Bank of America told them to have me contact them directly to confirm my identity so they could release my money. Nobody answers the phone number I was provided and when I repeatedly call their other numbers they give me the run around. Meanwhile they keep my $7000.00 and refuse to help me. This has been going on for 3 months. Completely unacceptable!

Bank of America does many things well; we should know -- we've been customers for over 25 years. But lately, we're thinking of switching banks, because late in 2021 they deliberately downgraded their Customer Service line for VISA credit cards and debit card customers so that it's almost impossible now to get through to a real human being. Over our 25 years with them we haven't needed to do that often; but I've been amazed at how lousy the experience has suddenly turned out to be. (It wasn't like that before). I've literally spent hours trying to get hold of a human being lately, and finding myself almost completely unable to do so. And it's the result of a deliberate policy change by BofA -- one of their reps confirmed it to me. They're a good transaction base -- their system rarely crashes or makes mistakes -- and they do a good job linking together the potential benefits in their different lines of business -- checking, saving, credit, debit, Merrill Edge investment accounts -- so that customers can get higher numbers of reward points. But if you think you will ever need to talk to a human being about a problem with your credit card or debit card, you should, unfortunately I think, look elsewhere -- which is what we're now doing. For 24 years that hasn't been the case, but unfortunately it is now. Buyer beware.

B of A closed all my personal and business accounts including credit cards without reason after 17 years with the bank. Perfect track record with the bank and 840 credit score. Planty of money in the accounts. To do this with no reason is unspeakable. I spoke with several people after escalating the situation and was told that they don't have any information as to the reason it was closed. I will never go back to this bank and recommend that no one else does either.

I would not recommend to put a singe rating to this bank as this is world’s worst bank . This bank has one of the worst practices & they steal money from saving account by saying the monthy maintenance charges without nitrifying to the customers for the lower than 10K balance . They charge hefty fees for every thing even for cheques . I have been maintaining the execllant account with this bank for 5 years without a single default. Now BOA Is charging the 25$ Maintenance fees . I am closing all my accounts .

When I say this bank is HORRENDOUS. Then I mean this bank is horrible in the way they treat the elderly. For 2 years now Ms. Mildred who is 82 years old and retired with severe medical issues cannot access her money because Bank of America has refused to help her. They will not send her a working card. She has severe medical issues and cannot call herself and people who have “authorized” access to her account has been calling the bank from South Africa with no response. They have been handered over to a department called “Client Care Executive Response Team”. Case Number: 220110CR0005917. We have been dealing with Thomas Boyd who has flat out refused to respond to emails or calls. We have emailed Rosaria Loucy, Christine Greer and Thomas at “Client Care Executive Response Team”. They are called the executive team for a reason and they have not helped her. I have emailed them several times to call Ms. Mildred’s authorized users and they have not done so. They keep telling me/us that Mildred needs to call them and we keep telling them she cannot talk. They keep sending her cards that do not work and she cannot activate in South Africa. I want to know if we can lay a charge against this company and I am going to the BBB for unlawful practices?

Bank of America, everything is bad, credit cards, checking accounts, saving account, customer experience, everything. At least other banks still try to make customers semi-happy. BOA excel only at being the worst. My advice, don't even bother, just move on.

Every time I need something done banking wise they make it next to impossible. Today just needed a check cashed. They would not cash it, only deposit it because it wasn’t a Bank of America check. What is the point of a bank again? There’s a reason these 1 star reviews far outweigh all the others on here. I’d be surprised if anyone who could do anything about it even cares.

Never bank with these people, they deposited my income tax in the wrong account and refuse to do anything about it. Ive called headquarters and no one wants to deal with their mistake and basically told me it was nothing they could do even though this was there mistake. To this day issue still not resolved. I also have been banking for years and yet during Covid they blocked my overdraft protection and said that I used it to many times and I only used it twice and had lost my job due to Covid when most banks were gladly helping customers during this period of time they were allowing me to overdraft for 5 or 10 dollars so they could take 35 but if you needed to pay a bill until you could pay they denied all even groceries, these people are not going to protect you in real life problems and don’t care about customers at all please bank elsewhere, and I still have not received tax and it’s almost April of 2022 ,be warned although I had direct deposit from unemployment and when I called to ask why they're not allowing customers to get overdraft more than twice they said it was because I used it twice in the same month although they were paid back and I replied that most were in need to use overdraft protection just to pay bills and survive due to Covid and they responded by saying they were aware of the situation but they are not allowed to consider hardship as a result of allowing customers to use overdraft as a survival mechanism. Banks are supposed to protect there customers and due diligence as a conscious appreciation for you choosing them to intrust your funds to, and they will not and have not.

I have been a Bank of America client for over thirty years. I didn’t get the money into the atm in time and my deposit appeared twice in my account. I immediately called Bank of America to alert them that there was in fact only one deposit. They reversed the deposit immediately and my balance showed the correct amount. That was two weeks ago. Today I went to withdraw money to pay two bills and there is a hold on my account for the same amount of the initial deposit. I have been on the phone for over two hours trying to get the hold released and they say it could take up to 45 days!! This bank sucks!!!!

Great employer! They treat us employees and our customers so well! It took me a long time in life to work my way up into a 6 figure position running many businesses and being self employed for a long time but it was well worth the wait! Charlotte is a awesome place to live especially when you have an employer who cares about you!

I haven't had a problem with them until this week. Accidentally transferred $1300 from my Savings to my loan account that had a balance of $500. It was supposed to go to my checking. It was clearly a mistake. Bank of America was quick to process this transaction and take the money. (Oh and NO warning from the app that I was transferring an amount larger than what was due.) But when I call after the transaction had processed, it will 1 to 10 BUSINESS DAYS JUST TO GET MY MONEY BACK THAT I NEEDED FOR BILLS. I hope BofA never makes an accidental transfer into my account. No matter how big the number I will now remember this moment and withhold their money for 1 to 10 business days. I'll also put a service request in myself for them. Money transferred from a BofA account to a BofA account should not take 1 to 10 business days to reverse. Absolutely stupid.

Bank of America will keep loan payoffs then try to make you keep paying. If it can't make you keep paying, it will change the loan numbers then sell it off. Both Bank of America & the lawyers it hires are comfortable & confidant with lying to judges faces, in the age of the internet. If this bank thinks it can steal from you & get away with it, it will steal from you.

I was with Bank of America for over 10 years until they charged me two $35 overdraft fees a total of $70 taken from my account for items that weren't even cleared from the account and still processing. Customer service agreed that I shouldn't have been charged the money but stated they were unable to refund the charges. Makes absolutely no sense that the employees agree that I shouldn't be charged but I can't get my money back so I left Bank of America.... Recently moved to an area where my new bank doesn't have a branch and the only bank I have heard of that is in this town is Bank of America so reluctantly I came back... Bank of America's policy is that you need to have a direct deposit of $250 or more into your account monthly to avoid a $12 maintenance fee. I get a direct deposit of well over $300 weekly into my account and yet I'm getting charged the $12 maintenance fee because my employer does the direct deposit through my check card(so I get paid faster) and not through my checking account number. Bank of America is nothing but thieves stealing from their customers!!!

Rachel from your local Bank in ocoee Florida is the worst bank manager on God's green earth we have been doing business with Bank of America for over 10 years we had a check for over $81,000 to deposit Rachel would not accept that deposit even though that deposit would take days for it to clear she still would not accept her a check even though we had the same name on other checks deposited into our account for some reason Rachel would not accept it because our company ends with LLC on Sunbiz it says LLC. Rachel needs to be retrained obviously there's some kind of prejudice or po or knowledge of the banking system.

The worst bank ever. I have been working with another business for over 3 years where I get wire transfers every week. I have been sent 2 wires the same day and the bank is holding one of them for over 2 weeks. They are stating it needs a review. This is by far the worst bank ever. Chase is the way to go. FU bank of america

I called Bank of America today to speak with assumptions and I was on hold for 10 minutes no answer, after which it rerouted to the main line. An agent picked up the phone and when he saw l needed help with assumptions he said did you try calling the assumptions dipartment? Then I called again at 4.30--they close at 5. Phone lines were off--still during 'working hours' but l guess calling after 4 is too late. Wow. Seems like they don't care.

WORST CUSTOMER NON-SERVICE EVER. Because BofA does not post their credit card benefits on their website, tried to call. Was transferred twice, then hung up on. Shame on you BofA, you should treat customers better

Had the worst experience with a customer service who took my call today October 20, 2021 at 11:01AM. The purpose of the call was to question BOA why I received a notification concerning my withdrawal fees on my saving account. She is very unprofessional by hanging up the phone call. She stated about charged fees from BOA $2.50 was consider a with a transaction. I tried to explain to her this is why BOA now as a class action against them for fees collected by them from their customers. I am with this bank since they took over Washington Mutual Bank. As a customer, I didn’t know when BOA charges a fee of $2.50 for using other ATM other than theirs it is a transaction occurred on your account. I taught it was just a regular fee deducted from my account for using ATM other than my bank. Another transaction that will cost you is transferring of money from one account to others if you have multiple accounts with them. I would like other user of BOA to be aware of this. This is totally ripoff from BOA of hard working people who deposit money with them.
