I have enjoyed having the Avant credit card. It was very easy to apply for and I received it rather quick. It's been great knowing if your checking gets a little low you have it to count on.

Avant has been a great credit card company. They are always looking at your account and will raise you limits when they see fit even without you requesting higher limits. Nothing but great thing to say about them

FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD I wonder how many of these 5 star reviews were only left because the people (if they're even real) received some sort incentive to leave that review. Avant LLC opened a credit card for someone that obtained my information fraudulently. I called them as soon as I received the alert from Experian. They sent me an email with a blank affidavit & instructions as to what I was supposed to do to resolve the situation & have the inquiry removed from my credit reports. I sent them the completed affidavit, signed by the police officer that took my ID theft report, signed by me, witnessed by a third party & notarized. I sent them the official copy of the police report & a copy of the complaint I filed with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I also sent them a copy of my ID & other documents to prove that I am me. I faxed this packet of information to them 5/20/22, I received a fax report saying that all pages were sent. I called Avant on 5/23/2022 & spoke with someone who told me that the documents were received & the issue was being worked on. Today I received an email that was identical to the first email I got from them telling me to provide the documents I already provided. I immediately called the customer service number they provided & spent an hour & 12 minutes on the phone with a call center that told me they haven't received the packet of documents. They were unable to answer any of the questions I asked them. I posted my experience on social media & was contacted by a customer service "bot" asking me to private message them my information. I did that & I was told to call a different number which sent me to the same call center I already spoke to. This company makes it easy for people to commit fraud & difficult for the innocent people to dispute the fraud. This results in ID theft victims being victimized a 2nd time. This company is trash & should be avoided at all costs!

I was waiting to pay my bill till my bill came in the mail. My bill came days after it was due and it put a big strain on my credit. It was my very first bill and payment. It dropped my credit 130 points for 5 days late and I paid in full. Other than that they are great 👍

This card has been a welcome addition to help me continue to build up my personal credit! I've had my Avant credit card since June 2021; payments post with ease and my available balance is not delayed after I make a payment (like other credit cards that are similar to this one) and is typically updated within a few days to a week I've noticed. I'm not able to comment on their customer service team yet since I haven't needed to reach out. Everything I've needed to check or know has been readily available to me when I access my online account with them. Overall, I'm very happy with this card & would recommend it to anyone needing to build up their personal credit.

I have had Avant's cc since June 2021. They gave me a $750 cl then I just looked @ my account yest & found that they increased me to $1250. I thank them for giving me a chance when others wouldn't!! I HIGHLY recommend this credit card company to EVERYONE!!!

Applied and was approved instantly. Received my card within a week. Got a nice big chunk of credit wit interest free for a year . Haven't had a problem with this card anywhere and customer service is great and I'm very happy with this Avant Credit card

This is the worst credit card. Not because if the interest rate but because they keep locking my app. Which also means I can not log in to pay my bill. So if you want a card that keeps locking you out, then this is the one for you.

I have only been with Avant for a short time, but have had no bad experiences with them. I am looking forward to the day when I have been with them long enough, to rate a credit increase. I use the card probably more than any other card in my possession, because I never experience problems with it. I would recommend this card over some others out there asking much higher costs and annual fees.

It is a great card if your trying to rebuild your credit. As I was. I just wish the annual fee was not so high. but, After I filled out the simple application... I was on my way with a pretty decent credit card. I put in for a credit line increase after 8 months of having the card and they gave me a $200 credit increase. So I'm pretty happy with this card.

I gave it a 5 star because its a great credit building card if your responsible with it. High interest but if u pay it off every month and never use more then 20% of the credit amount ,you wont be paying high interest and your credit will climb . If you plan to use it as a loan and pay minimum, thats fine but you wont build credit and you will pay extra

I had 2 charges on my credit card company that I did not authorize and when I contacted them they requested certain documentation I sent them all the documentation they said no I did authorize the charge even though it wasn't mine so I don't recommend this company at all when I pay it off I'll be canceling it

I have had this card a few months now and I have been pleased so far. The application process was fairly simple and the card arrived pretty quickly. I recieved a decent credit limit and it has helped my credit score out a great deal. I had one case of a blocked purchase due to fraud concerns, but customer services reached out to me and solved the issue immediately. Overall all its a good card to have in a pinch. I use it to catch any bills or expenses in between paychecks. I previously would do the payday loan cycle. This card has helped me save hundreds on loan fees.

The card is great, however, it takes over 7-10 days for money to post to credit card account. I am a paperless customer and I make all of my Payments from the app. Avant takes the money out of my checking account right away but it takes way too long to show up on my available Balance. I have several other credit cards and payments show up around 1-3 days. Big difference!

Overall a very well rounded card. The app is very clean and easy to use. They allow you to do payments via a debit card instead of just a bank transfer which allows for a quicker payment and so far, I don’t have any complaints.

Can't say enough with Avant. Great customer service and reviews of your payment history for credit line increase. Navigation of website is a breeze and real time is easy to.work. I chose to go paperless and set for automatic payment keeps me ahead of the game. Docs can be reviewed anytime. I recommend this card without a doubt!!!!!

Avant is one of my better credit cards. I had one bad experience in regards to a missing payment. But once I finally spoke with a supervisor weeks later she took care of it expeditiously. They automatically reviews for credit line increases. I hope to have a long relationship with them.

My first review was 5 stars, however they no longer deserve that rating. After making monthly payment, every month my bank statements can prove it they charged me a late fee. The BBB and MN Attorney General are looking into it I'll be happy if they just reverse the fees

AVANT has been great ! I am in the process of rebuilding my credit and I was issued a 1,500 credit line which is great considering I was only able to get small credit lines from other cards and it has enabled me to get other cards with higher credit lines and it has really helped my credit utilization ! No security deposit ! No annual fees , I would definitely recommend AVANT CREDIT CARD !!!

So far, I haven't had any problems with this company, and I love that they will allow me to pay my bill with my debit card. Most companies do not do that, and one company wanted me to pay a 10 dollar fee to use a debit card. Not Avant though. That is awesome.

Avant Credit Card is a great card to have in my wallet! I am currently trying to rebuild my credit, so I was surprised when they took a chance on me especially since their interest rate is points lower than most others I have applied for. I highly recommend Avant Credit Card because the are very easy to work with and very fair!

I probably would've given all 5, except it took a ridiculously forever amount of time to simply get my card. I had 4 cards in total get canceled and reissued because I just so happened to move shortly after being approved and having my first one sent. I actually was billed my first annual fee before I even received a card or activated one. What a disaster!! Needless to say, going thru a simple address change was the worst of any company ever!! Other than that, really had no problems whatsoever, other than on the HR level. All in all, it's a decent card and may just be better than I give credit. You be the judge!

I am always nervous when I try to use this card. Eventhough I pay my bill on time, there’s still a chance I may be denied my purchase( due to fraudulent security). I can’t stand having to take 20-30 minutes out of my time with family to try and clear up a purchase that was denied at a gas station. I will not keep this card long

Customer service takes my payments, because when I go to their dashboard it's been down for 6 plus months. I complain every time I call and they tell me to go to Dashboard. They only seem to listen to how much money I'm sending in.

My card was at limit, I wasn’t prepared for the annual fee of 29.00 to post. Avant would not have allowed me to charge over my limit, they would have declined the purchase; however, they added the 29.00 fee to my account and then reported to all 3 credit bureaus that I am over my limit, even when I paid 99.00 immediately as I was notified I was over limit. My credit scores dropped 16-50 points across all three bureaus. I called Avant, and they apologized and said they can’t do anything. No i have to wait for my credit score to increase up over a couple months. All of this while I’m trying to get a lower interest rate on a huge purchase coming up.

I had made a double charge on the same item and immediately my card was blocked and I received an email about fraudulent activity. I contacted Avant and explained that I had made the double charge. After verifying the account was mine, the block was lifted. The block was fast and I appreciated the fact they responded so quickly to what they thought was fraudulent activity on my account. Customer service was top notch!

Sometimes, when we face hardships during the course of our lives, it's a difficult struggle to establish what's been lost. After 2 Brain Surgeries, Heart Failure, Hospitalization and Divorce, I has lost much of my credibility. My mother, before she passed away, use to say, get a Discover Card! Even when I worked at Chrysler and now, they denied me! Avant just like Capital One, took a chance on me to help me rebuild my life and credit worthiness! Thank you very much!!! I have a few other cards as well, but Discover is DEFINITELY not for me!!! Thank you, Avant, for believing in me and giving me a chance.

The card arrived very quickly, it was also easy for me to activate it. I've only used it once, and that purchase went through without any glitches. The benefits of having this card still remain to be seen. I haven't had any reason to call their customer service support people, so I'm still neutral on that.

This credit card is very good card to have. Frequent on time payments earn you credit line increases. Very simple card, not a lot of ridiculous fees which make it hard to pay down. Payments credit next day, unlike others. Would recommend to anyone.

Overall not a bad card. They did put on my credit report that I was late on my payment during the beginning of the pandemic. Even though it was by a couple of days. So be aware of this if you decide to get this card.

I took a $6000 loan for three years. Had some bumps in the road... They accommodated me with no problem. and now I see why. This loan cost me over $12000 when all said and done. I DO NOT recommend taking a loan of this type unless you are homeless. Very Very high risk to your life. Good Luck to the owners, probably pretty wealthy men. God Bless. :)

Avant Credit Card- Very straight forward, larger credit limits then the other guy's. There hasn't been a need to call, so I can't give a review about that. Overall, I like them and worth having. Side note- They also offer loans.

Fast and easy payments. Account credited right away maintaining less credit limit usage thereby helping improve credit scores. Also set up auto pay on minimum due and it works. So I can avoid missing a payment. Protects my credit.

I am very impressed. I can't wait to use this card again. I used it and maxed it so I can pay it off. And then I'm going to use it on a carnival Cruise line. I've taken a cruise on carnival Cruise line every year for the past 5 years. I used it in 2020 at the beginning of the year. I'm looking forward to a cruise this year at the end of the year. I will be proud to use my Avant card. after five years you would think that I would be able to use a carnival Cruise line card. But .. when the bank (unnamed . Said no. Advent said yes. This credit card must be fir people who are building or repairing credit. I never had a credit card where you weren’t able to do balance transfer. Although customer service is helpful, i just think that when applying fir a credit card, it should state up front that, you will be billed an annual fee up front that will come out of your available credit. After reviewing the terms, I will be canceling this card.

Good card to build credit, however to use it for purchases is a nightmare. Seems like you can only do one transaction a day, more than that your card will be declined and you will get a notification from the fraud department. I only use it for my Netflix subscription to keep it open and have a good credit score.

This is the most troublesome card I carry. I've tried to use it multiple times, it may work once but then Avant fraud dept locks the card. No notifications and no reason to lock it. Very disappointed and considering closing this account.

Horrible I had to order a new card because my card was utilized with out my permission. This happened last year in July my balance has been paid off and till this day No card has been sent to Me !!!!! I have called several times spoke to supervisor and I have expressed my displeasure and dissatisfaction with the situation and the customer service. In the near future will be canceling account and highly recommend Do not get card or use there service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only problem I have had with Avant is that their yearly fees are taken out with no notice. I told them I signed up for a notice when I got the card. And because of that I was over limit. Then they put a negative remark on my credit history, because of it. Not fair that was their doing not mine. And I had to pay a $39.00 fee, but the negative remark on credit did the most damage for something I didn't do.

Had a problem making my very first payment for my Avant credit card account. Along with receiving extremely poor customer service I got hit with over balance on my account because the payment amount I wanted to post was more than Avant payment system would except!!!! Needless to say I will not be using or keeping this card!

I got this card to help repair my credit after a divorce left my credit ruined. I have made all my payments on time and my credit score reflects my payments. They are a little slow at reporting payments to the credit bureaus but other than that this is a great card to have.

You all need to give increases a little more often than what you do. I have had your card for two years and finally got my second increase but only after i asked for it. I just got this card a while ago so far so good, I can't say anything negative so it's all good I'm hopeful they will raise my limit in a reasonable time, we shall see? If I could give this company a big 0, I would. This unscrupulous company called me several times stating that I had started to fill out an application & they were calling so I could finish the application. The first time, I told the person on the other line that I have NEVER fill any sort of en application with their company or any company of loans or credit cards and NOT to ever call my number back. Here comes a 2 and 3 rd time calling insisting on the same so on the 3rd call the person on the other line got cussed out by me and not to ever call me again. Lucky for me, my credit is extremely secure to the point that nothing can go through under my name so I guess since they can’t get through the regular avenues of my credit then they try to get my personal info by calling me directly. People be careful and NEVER EVER provide any of your personal info over the phone or otherwise. Be very smart about it because we are in an era of big scamming going on.

Impossible to call. Finally get someone on the line and she does not respond verbally at all after a "hello this is __ how may I help?" No surprise they are a target for identity thieves as there are no representatives to assist.

I love this card! When no one else would give me credit.... Avant did! When I accidentally went over my limit... other cards attached a bunch of fees on my card... Avant did NOT! They said you went over your limit. Try to keep a watch on your spending make a payment now so you're not over your limit. This is my BEST CARD!

I like this card. It helped raise my credit score. I only gave 4 stars because it doesn’t have cash back or any perks. Although the Customer service is excellent, they’re not open 24hr. I had a small purchase but it declined. It was my first time using the card. I called and reached a recording☹️ I was unable to make my purchase. Embarrassing.

Having a great time with my Avant credit card. I was pleased with how easy and quick the process was and also the credit limit offered. The Mobile app is very simple and easy to use. Other options like locking your card and ability to request a credit limit increase is a plus. Customer service was great when I called. I am quite happy with this card.

I've used my Avant card to pay for hotel reservations and when shopping or dining out, without any issues. When making online payments, I am given an immediate confirmation number and a follow-up email within seconds. The funds are on my card within a day or so, making continued shopping a breeze. I love this card!

Avant gave me a chance at correcting and improving my credit when so many others wouldn’t with a no annual fee card with a generously high starting limit. Payments process quickly and available credit updates quickly as well. I would definitely recommend them if you have fair credit and are looking to improve that.

They only issue I have with them is they're not open 24 hours and God forbid if you did two transactions a day they block your card and most of the time they're not even open and then you got to wait to use your card so that's a very below average review!! I mean it's a good card and the representatives are nice.. but they just like to block your credit card from being charged a lot it happens to me on unless every other day basis and it's very annoying they send me an email and ask if it was me and if not respond with a no and if it was just don't respond so if I don't respond that she tell them something I shouldn't have to go through calling them and having them unblock the card.. but that's the only thumbs down

I would give this Company and Credit Card absolutely NO STARS, if I could. I chose their card, racked up a $300 bill and paid it in full before the due date. And although they acknowledge that the bill has been paid and the cash posted for them, I currently have a NEGATIVE $4 dollars available credit while I wait UP TO 10 DAYS for them to "release" my credit again. Obviously I got this card because credit isn't the best at this time. However every I pay my bill on time. This time though, I pay the bill and I'm told it won't post for 10 business days. And the reason is "it can take that long sometimes. But it only took you all 1 day to collect my money? After that I asked to speak to a manager and was told one would call be back. 3 days later no call. I call back only to be told the same nonsense and that it would be several minutes if a manager was available. Absolutely ridiculous. And then on the same day I get an email asking for a review? So far so good! I've had this card for several months and I'm happy with it. I've never had any issues with using the card (no declines or issues) and payments post quickly. If you make a payment before 5pm central time, the funds will be available the next day. I'm pleased and would recommend.

Customer service is not that great. The limits starting are low. It takes them like 2 weeks 10 full days to make the funds available after the payment, unless you make a small payment then it’s available in a couple days. Don’t dare pay you bill in full they hold your money forever. I feel like they do that on purpose to discourage you from paying in full, so they can get some from the interest. I’d say go else where it’s not worth it. I’m highly considering closing the account and I’ve only had them for a couple of months. I have other cards with better perks and funds availability. They aren’t worth it at all. Wish I would have read reviews prior to opening this account. They definitely aren’t worth the headache! Thank me later.

I received a phone call about my application for a credit card. I was very surprised, a very pleasant person congratulated me on being accepted and she went over some details and welcomed me to Avant. My first impression was a big "Yes" a company that is customer service first.

It has been the most understanding and supportive credit card I have worked with, since this Covid virus. I so appreciate having this card and having them as one that I can depend on when in need. Don’t hesitate to sign up for an admin card it’s great!

Got a decent credit limit from the start high interest rate but that didn't bother me too much application and approval process was easy that's the pros. As for the cons it seems like every time I attempted to make a purchase over $50 it was flagged for fraud I thought ok at least they're serious about that but looking over a statement there was a very large purchase that I didn't make it wasn't flagged for fraud they were fast to issue a new card but the charges remain and every time I call they tell me someone will call back first it was 3 business days then 5 and now 10 still no call back they clearly don't take fraud seriously so only use them if you're prepared to have your credit shot when the card is half way to maxed with fraudulent charges.

So far so good. I know the "Annual fee" & interest rates are not the best but I'm having very smooth transactions with my statements, payments, etc. I really have no complaints at this point.

Great card If you're in the middle of improving your credit score. Low annual fee with the potential for increased credit limit. My experience is a low monthly minimum payment which makes it easy to pay a bit more and look good lol. I would recommend. Of the different credit cards that could help you increase your score, I didn't get sketched out by avant and I'm glad I tried them.

If you're working on your credit and are making your payments faithfully on time every month I think you can't go with the Avant credit cards. It may not give you a huge credit limit but let's face it, that's probably what got some people in trouble in the first place. Won’t allow authorize users other than the main card holder. Haven’t heard of a credit card company do that. Got this card to help build my credit however they’ve yet to report to the credit bureau.

So far so good. They took 14 days to post my first payment. I paid off the balance in March 9th and they are still showing a outstanding balance today is March 26th. I will dispute it so my credit score can improve.

The card is great and it was easy to apply. I only have one suggestion. It would help me to have ALL charges listed on my account. When you add up my spending, it does not come out to what they say I owe. I am sure it is a CC charge, but needs to be listed. Other than that, I am very happy with Avavt.

So Far I am very pleased with this credit card company. Their fees are upfront and I haven't been billed any hidden fees. The interest is a little high, but if you pay your card off every month you have nothing to worry about.

I am very unhappy. I got my card activated it. Then I used my card. I paid off the balance owed. As of a week later my payment is not posted. It was received. And now my statement shows a negative balance. This is not a good card. I’m concerned on how it will be reported to my credit score.

My relationship with my Avant card has been just mediocre. No issues whatsoever, but there's better cards out there with no annual fees having a much higher, generous credit line. It's like dating the girl nextdoor, I'm getting bored with having no perks. Avant, to keep my business, better try stepping it up or I'm going elsewhere.

The mobile app needs some important , added. Firstly it is great a payment can be made on the web-site. But at the same time a payment cant be cancelled or edited. This is very important to me and should just be a feature like most credit cards have on their sitesqqawww×ײ

I like the card so far but It doesn’t work with Samsung or Apple Pay. Also, their partnership with Google doesn’t sit well with me it just means that all of my info is being shared…a hackcident waiting to happen ,I’ll be tracked, thus less privacy all because I have this card. There isn’t enough of your account data on their website to know when and where to pay.

I'm very pleased with Avant so far. They are everything they advertised to be. As long as they keep their promise I will continue to keep them. Everyone I have dealt with has been very professional and considerate. That speaks volumes, as I have had some companies that treat you like you are stupid. Thank you Avant, keep up the good work.

My credit card was hacked, I called customer service to report the incident. It was very hard for the representative to understand what I was trying to say. They transferred me to a department, they canceled the card and sent me out another on, but they never addressed the charges. I tried to call back three times but the call just kept getting disconnected. Currently I still have those charges trying to get this issue resolved. Not good!!!

One month old with them, seems to good however we had a rough start. The advertisement and pre approval mentioned a number and I was approved for 30% of that.. disappointing.

I received the offer for this card and accepted it. I haven't had any issues with the card but the interest rate is high and they have not increased my limit beyond the initial limit ($500), so I will probably cancel it by the end of the year since it isn't improving my credit score and I have cards with lower interest rates and higher limits.

I would not recommend this credit card to even a dog! You cannot view your transactions real time and neither can customer service. You have no way of knowing if your card has been compromised. My balance keeps decreasing even when I haven’t used the card and no one can tell me what is happening!! I made a payment a week ago and it still has not posted!! This is the most horrible experience ever! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Securing Avant credit card was not hard, it has been very helpful having this card. I recently received a higher credit limit and was pleased with it. Recommend it for starting to build credit.

This card is good I’ve pay my bills on time and have for years but being on Social Security for disability so I don’t make a lot of money I can’t get regular credit cards even though I pay my bills on time and have for years but since I don’t make a lot of money I can’t get cards thanks to them I have got a credit card. Right now this virus times or hard every thing is going up and up the only thing is now my credit is going down from 695 to 656 because of this card and me using it to eat and not being able to pay it off all at once. Our credit Scoring needs to change but thanks to them I’m eating. Great card !

Avant is a very good card for those with a score of 680 range and up. The cons are there is no rewards or cash back👎🏻The pros are..well let’s just say they are more then generous with the limit they provide, not to mention there is no annual fee.👍🏻

Avant's customer service is a joke; sadly not a funny one. I 'm a new account holder and made two payments (hundreds of dollars above the minimum due) after receiving my first bill. Instead of updating my available credit to the correct amount, they've made only half of the amount available even though both have cleared with my bank. My plan to use this card to cover the bank appraisal fee on the upcoming purchase of my first home has been delayed as a side effect. Without my available credit being updated in a timely fashion, I am required to wait up to an additional 10 business days. When I called and escalated the situation to a supervisor after being read a tired script numerous time, they read the same script again, saying there was nothing that could be done. As a customer service professional, this is NOT acceptable. It made the decision to avoid using this card for any important purchases in the future a pretty simple one.

It is a basic credit card with no cash back options but a credit card just the same. Use as needed. Pay your bills on time credit is reported to all 3 credit bureaus $1000 limit to start ain't bad. Will see about credit increase after 6-8 mos. The only con I see is the $39 annual fee.

This is a great card for someone rebuilding their credit. Continue making your on time payments and they will increase you limit. Interest rate is high but that's the norm when you don't have great credit.

I have not had enough time or experience with them to make an assessment. But they ask for a review before product even arrived in or had time to make my first payment. Otherwise it's one of the first company's to allow me credit while building my credit fr the first time with that I in mind they get 3.5 stars to star because they need room to grow but room to fall sort. Better practices would ensure your customers are have actually used ur service before you ask for a review
