Aripeka Sandhills Preserve Aripeka Rd, Hudson

This is a great spot to hike as it features both water and elevation! You'll find it packed on the weekends around sunset, as the rocks and other fauna provide a beautiful backdrop for photoshoots. Also love that we've had no issues when bringing our dogs!

This is one of the most beautiful little hidden gems around. It's garnering a bit more attention as of late, which is fantastic, and people are doing the right thing by keeping it clean and taking advantage of the photogenic landscape it has to offer. Everyone that comes here is friendly, conversational, and easygoing. Great place for children, pets, acoustic guitars, and good times.

This place doesn't seem well cared for, there was a lot of trash and parts of the trail was weedy. The beginning of the trail is kinda nice, there's two big rock mounds on opposite sides of a small lake this is definitely the highlight of the preserve. A lot of people use these mounds to operate radio control trucks. As far as amenities there is none not even a garbage can. There's about 20 parking spaces which were almost full by 9 am . It is dog friendly but not wheelchair accessible

Beautiful area with lots of wild life and a small pond. The area has all sorts of neat features to discover and a couple of man made hills that offer a nice view of the landscape. There are several cut paths that are fairly easy to walk on but I’d still recommend wearing a good pair of shoes out here.

Really enjoyed this park. It's actually got a rather 'northern' feel to it. The sand hills are rugged enough to give you that 'mountain hike' kind of nostalgia. Once at the top it looks over a small pond/ lake. The water is crystal clear. The trails are rugged. You definitely want sneakers. They ate uneven and in some areas a bit swampy. But it's a nice change up from the normal Florida trails. It's a slightly more strenuous walk. If you take the outer trail it's about 1.5 miles around. It wasn't crowded when we were there and the people we did encounter were very friendly.

Very beautiful and quiet park! Great place for kids and dogs. There's a lot of room and it's also a great place for rc cars and drones. I'm editing this review: I'm not sure what they were thinking but they have torn up the walking trail (I think they were trying to clear them up more?). As you can see from the pics they did more damage than good and have made it hard to walk. I just like to give honest reviews so I wanted to update!

Nice little hidden gem, secluded spot with a nice lake in middle of hiking trail not a far walk from the parking area. Wear some good shoes and take lots of photos.

Loved this preserve. It's spacious with trails I can explore. The area is extremely nice for spending the day. I'm really glad I found it.

Visited home for the first time in years, it was great to see new perseveres and being able to see the wildlife

Awesome park to hike about and enjoy nature. The limestone hills really make this park unique. We hung around for the golden hour and were richly rewarded with beautiful sun splashed landscapes. Definitely worth an explore.

If you're looking for a park full of trails and animals, this isn't it. If you're looking for the closest thing to a mountain / real rock climbing area / fishing.. Then this is the park for you!

Great place for a Scenic hike and amazing views. Beautiful way to spend an afternoon

Love walking the trail and climbing up the rocks, also keep an eye out for boar! We were chased by one. Still a great place to be in the nature (also check out the weeki wachee preserves if you enjoy hiking)

I have only made it about a 1/10 of a mile into the Park on my first visit because there is Sooo much to see! Huge centipede, wild orchids and lillie's, wildflowers, spider webs, a bunny a turkey and its baby, and a Sandhill crane with it's baby! I'll be heading into the dirt pile tomorrow to see what I can. Something large was up there, not human. Maybe a bear... But I'm thinking Bigfoot. I saw it on 2 legs and there were cracking and banging noises like it was crushing and breaking logs... I am curious and dumb enough to go see what prints I can find in the sand. I'll update this if I find something 🤪

Great for trails no map once you get their. Always breezy and there are signs to let you know your still on the trails. Some are a little tuff if you have a stroller but nothing that would stop me from going.

This area is a nice, reclaimed area. It has decently maintained old dirt roads. There are no restrooms. You can walk around, look at birds and plants, and similar activities. I've seen people playing with small remote-controlled model cars on the little hills and slopes. There's a small pond, but I didn't see anyone fishing. It's worth visiting for a relaxing morning walk. The parking lot is dirt and might not be suitable for wheelchairs. The trails and dirt roads are somewhat bumpy with patches of soft sand, which are fine for most hikers but might not be suitable for wheelchairs.
