Great modernly updated location, very quick in and out service but concerned when I'm asked what I'm doing with MY funds when making a large deposit into MY account. That was a coaching opportunity for the AFCU employee that I missed but it was a Friday and I was decompressing but hoping this review is read and acted upon.

This is the first time I've ever left a bad review online but let me explain what pushed me over the edge: customer service is trash. You can spend an entire day on hold and if by some miracle you make it through to a real person they'll just "transfer" your call and then you're on hold for another couple of hours. Worst financial institution I've ever had to deal with. Their online banking isn't helpful either, they put a cap on how much you can pay daily towards loans and if you want to change your auto-payments you have to send them a paper change request like it's the 1800's. Run far away from this place.

Andrews offered the best rate, beating Navy Federal & other lenders. I highly recommend going in-person & asking for Sean Mason. Sean made the entire process of obtaining a loan incredibly easy and was responsive at every step of the process. His professionalism and willingness to answer all of my questions thoroughly put me at ease and earned my trust. Very happy with the overall process, thank you Sean!

I am extremely upset at how I’ve been treated at this location multiple times. Originally I was going to let it go, but after today I decided enough is enough . Your employee by the name Mishal Tariq has left multiple bad tastes in my mouth . She continues to speak in condescending tones , and loves telling customers she is right and they are wrong . On multiple occasions I have called in received information then when I arrive to the branch Ms. Tariq never seems to want to be helpful . I’d call the branch directly before wasting my gas but unfortunately there’s no direct number for them . It saddens me to see a credit union practicing bad banking techniques. I could go to Wells Fargo if I wanted to be treated this way

Omg, Best banking experience ever. Welcoming, courtesy, fast and professional. Their hours are so convenient. My credit union closed their branch and I had to find a new place to bank in Springfield. From the moment you walk in, to the time you leave, these professionals just make you feel at home.

They don’t care about their customers. On several occasions I’ve been charged privilege pay even when I have overdraft protection. I once spoke to a member and she claimed the overdraft protection only protects my checking account. They couldn’t get it to cover my savings account. If for any reason a transaction goes through my savings and I do not have enough balance, I am charged a fee, whether or not I have enough balance in my checking account. That’s a total cheat. To do away with unwanted charges, I spoke to a member and asked him to take off the privilege pay benefits. With that, if I loose track of my account balance and I do any transaction, it would be denied and that would keep me informed of what to do. The member agreed and confirmed turning it off. Only for me to check my account few months later to see another privilege pay charged on my account. What pains me most is that I had enough balance in my checking account. I called member service to alert them and they promised a call back. The lady also confirmed to me that the last person I spoke to did not take off the privilege pay benefit. She attached a note to my claim about it, and told me she had done what I requested. Up until now, no call back to address my concern. Today, there was another privilege pay posted on my account. Meanwhile, I had a deposit from Zelle that was still pending to be posted in my account. I might as well stick to Chase bank and move all my direct deposit to them.

I’d give zero stars if possible. Terrible customer service and inept employees. Electronic banking system is useless. Avoid at all costs.

BUYERS BEWARE!! Cheap rates, but it's a completely disorganized institution, with terrible customer service. When you call them, expect to be on hold for hours on end, before you talk to anyone, who probably will hang up on you, or the system will disconnect you while being put back on hold. Dealing with this institution has been an extremely frustrating experience, and if your time is valuable, go with another bank, as this credit union will cost you a lot of time and headache.

    Response from the owner

Although i am not a member with this bank i can genuinely say the manager needs help with her problem solving skills. I inserted my card into their atm, it gave me my money however did not dispense my card back out. I go up to Andrews to let staff know my card is stuck in the machine. I explained to them i did not have my ID however the card stuck inside does not have my name on it. She says they need ID to compare names. However how can you compare names if there is NO NAME ON THE CREDIT CARD. RYAN was able to intervene and boy was she completely helpful. RYAN NEEDS TO BE THE MANAGER OF THIS BRANCH. In compliance with having Managerial Authority one must be able to be PATIENT, show EMPATHY, as well as have knowledge in problem solving skills. I will be giving corporate a call about this. Thank you again Ryan. May you easily grow within this company. Your people skills are amazing.

My wife has an account there. I sometimes go there and use another bank card to withdraw money and to pay a lian she has. All of this allowed to happen but they wont tell me the outstanding balance on the loan. Very annoying and yes, i know there are privacy rules but c'mon...i had her card and made a payment to her account. Why thedustrust at that point. Anyway, the new decor is nice and the help was friendly even in the face of my obvious irritation.
