Excellent customer service. William Howell help me with 2 loans. He always responded promptly to numerous calls and emails to answered question or fix issues. William was very professional, and I can tell he was genuinely interested in helping me , and that means alot.

Always a quick and easy experience with them. Frances Gibbs was very knowledgeable and professional. She explained everything in depth so we had a complete understanding of our options available prior to our decision along with her pleasant demeanor which made the process/experience not a challenge what so ever. Would recommend this Credit Union, we have used them for years! Loan process done in hour's amazing. All staff are terrific!!

I had a check from Bank of America(mortgage escrow refund)..Made out to myself(primary borrower)..And co borrower(my son). I called A1 prior to driving there..Was told in order to deposit or cash the check we both needed to be account holders..Which he already was. So drove to local A1 branch to open myself an account..was then told we BOTH needed to be on the SAME acct before they would do anything with my check. I was very frustrated! The person helping us(after 20min wait)and several inquiries to other branch managers finally concluded that what I was told her was correct! After 28yrs employed there..One would think she would/should have already known that! I'm not sure how much banking I will do with this place after that experience. I suppose time will tell..

I was purchasing a vehicle out of state. The dealership offered financing options to me. Since I had recently moved to the Brooklyn area, I decided to check into the local branch of the American 1 Credit Union. I sat down with Chantel to discuss my options and apply for the loan. They offered competitive rates and loan terms that appealed to me. I was approved for the loan, and decided to keep my business local. She then worked with the dealership directly to facilitate the paperwork. Everything went very well and I would recommend to anyone looking for a loan or other banking needs to stop by and talk with them. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. Everyone was extremely friendly. The young woman who started my account was a blast. We laughed, we shared stories, she made her ancestors proud. 10/10 would recommend.
