Excellent Credit Union that gives back to the entire Jackson County area in many ways. They have several interesting and less expensive checking and savings accounts available to meet just about any need. They also offer all types of loans at very competitive rates, including mortgage and auto loans. Their staff are friendly and very helpful however you choose to interact with them

Although I have moved away from Michigan, and I so happy I didn’t move away from my credit union. Both Kelly and Abby were so responsive whether it was by phone, text, or email. The dealership where I bought my car wasn’t the easiest to deal with, but I’m thankful that I had my credit union in my corner to make the financing easy.

Easy convenient banking. It shows pending deposits way before they ever deposit so you’re able to keep track of when your money is coming in. As well as it shows every transaction made on the mobile app which makes keeping track of your money even easier. We offer simplicity checking where you can overdraft up to $500 with only a fee of $25.

American 1 has always treated me great but when I recently went there for a personal loan and an auto refinance, I was given great service, offered an amazing interest rate beyond what my credit would typically have them offer me, and won $200 for having a new auto loan with them. I appreciate the great customer service and them seeing the value in my business. I definitely felt valued and was taken care of beyond expectation. You couldn't pay me to bank anywhere else. I've never experienced such unprofessional conduct from a business in 20 years. Even if you have money in your accounts, you get charged fees, when you have money in your accounts you arent allowed to use it and they make excuses about how your services were disabled randomly and that its normal for these occurences. Don't trust this establishment. They will steal from you every moment they can.

This bank is trash. Withholding information from next of kin after a death in the family. Other banks had NO PROBLEMS . And even after her son went there and was refused information you bank had the AUDACITY TO CALL ME AND ASK ME TO GIVE MY DEAD SISTER A MESSAGE..!! ACTING AS IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW... ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING HUMAN BEINGS!

I've had an account with American 1 for 15+ years and mainly used the Parnell branch and everybody has always been very helpful in regards to any issues I've ever had.

Called and wanted to refi my car, I was not helped by just one employee…Brandon, Jill and Cindy were all able to answer my questions and help me with the process. Great job to A1 for the awesome service and staff that went above and beyond with assisting me with my needs. A++++++!!!!!!

This credit union was amazing to deal with. Often times you get the run around when trying to apply for a loan, but this was not the case. Aaron was great and answered all my questions quickly and efficiently. They helped me achieve my goal of owning a classic truck and I'm so very grateful. Abby, helped us with our car loan. She was fantastic. We did everything through phone and email communication. I was able to pick up our check at the branch closest to our home. This was the a great experience.
