America's Credit Union - Lakewood Branch Mt Tacoma Dr, Lakewood

Each member in this branch has always been pleasant and friendly. I’ve been going to this location for 3 years now and I have never left feeling sour. From standard banking transactions to loans they have always been helpful and kind. 5 Star Staff!

Horrible credit union! DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR MONEY HERE! They claimed to have sent out a bank card for my account theee weeks ago. However this mysterious card they claim to have sent I never received and the card I had expired in less than a week.. on top of all that they preceded to tell me the bank card is active.. well if I’m the only one in my household and I don’t have the card and you’re telling me the bank card is active.. that means someone is walking around with my bank card in their wallet! so instead of being a decent bank and rectify the situation because you have my bank card floating around the free world already activated! Which in my opinion is complete careless of careless considering they sent a already activated card in the mail. To add insult to injury they wanted to charge me for another bank card! I closed the account. Anytime a bank rather lose a customer than to make things right suggest a lot about the bank! I also had a business account with them.. never again! If I could give zero stars I would! And the bank teller was beyond rude. But rather then stoop to her level I took the high road. Navy fed is a far better credit union and clearly takes care of the veterans! ACU is the pinnacle of worst credit unions!

Every time I go to the ACU in Lakewood someone always greets you with a smile and welcome. Keep up the good work!

This branch is horrible costumer service is bad...manager has an attitude towards costumer..not very professional...

We needed notary public service at our local ACU branch. We appreciate the prompt and professional attention we received at the bank. Thank you and we hope to continue our banking needs with ACU.

Long story short, they approved us for a car loan and went back on their word. Long story: My wife and I applied for and were approved for a car loan with them, they gave us the pre approval letter and everything. We found a car that met ALL their requirements (miles, year, and purchase price). So we went to the bank and gave them the car info, after which they signed off on the car and gave us permission to proceed with purchase, also taking the downpayment that day. About two days later AFTER we had driven the car home and been driving it around they called and told us they can't actually finance the car because I was getting out of the army too soon (mind you this was disclosed to them in the approval process, both verbally and via documents). So after going back and forth with them for a while we finally just gave up. Will absolutely never do business with this bank again.

Cold and Curt. Silence feel across the room when I entered, as oppose to the 72nd st branch where I am always pleasantly welcomed in a no pressure way. Signage and/or flow is terrible. I had to walk aimlessly until I found the "ropes" to firm a que. Once I had, it wasn't until I approached the teller that anyone acknowledged my presence (other than staring at me as I walked through). When I informed them that the 72nd st branch had reached out and let them know that I would be stopping by, they seemed to get defensive and started asking each other if anyone knew about it. It seemed as though they had an expectation that I already know their policies and protocols and when I didn't, one man (effeminate) actually scoffes. Icould go on and on, however I just wanted to say that the three people I spoke to were condescending and rude. I felt terrible by the end and will likely not be pursuing a mortgage for a second home through them unless they can turn things around when I come in for a meeting later.

I've been going to this branch for quite some time now, and the Manager (Karen) there is absolutely perfect. She has always come through with everything I've needed.

I love ACU! The employees are super friendly and easy to work with :)
