Been banking here for 10 years. The experience continually goes down hill each year. Everything from deposits, loans and withdrawals is getting more cumbersome, slow and less friendly.

Love the bank, but this branch sucks. Every single time we have EVER had to go in for whatever reason, we’ve had to wait 30+ minutes with our two kids. I don’t know if they’re understaffed or what, but people have lives & things to take care of. This is frustrating. Hire more people.

I had a terrific experience here with one of the tellers. He was very patient and very helpful. He also was willing to answer any questions I had and worked with me to get my car loan situation resolved. He also explained in better detail about things I didn't know about my car loan and helped me get everything smoothly arranged. They took the time to help me out.

I have never had a bad experience with AFCU...until today. If Brenda is helping you, just leave. PayPal was kind enough to alert me about my bank account number being linked to an unauthorized user. They had suggested that I call my bank and notify them of the potential fraud. I called the 1-800 number for AFCU and spoke with an amazing Customer service representative! It was suggested that I go in to a branch and get my account number changed, as well as file a police report so they could work with PayPal and investigate the potential fraud. I quickly filed with the police and the amazing officer I spoke with, also suggested I change my account information. Brenda was the one to “help” me when I came into the branch following all these phone calls. She started off by trying to convince us NOT to close the account, even after we explained the situation. Then she insinuated I was lying about the advice given by customer service because “there were no notes.” After she finally decided to do her job, she hassled my senior citizen MOM about the situation until her job was finished and we could leave with our new account. I don’t know if she was having a bad day but that amount of disrespect should never be applied to the customers. My advice for future visitors, just go to the Harmons.

Don’t show up at 5:59pm. Because they will close the drive up on you. I was behind a car and they served them then I pulled up got the tube out of the thing and loaded my check to have the lady say sorry we are closed. Couldn’t even cash my simple $300 check because she closed 1 min early. Going to pull all my money from the bank and go across the street to Cyprus

I opened a checking account Feb 2 and and now 57 days later, still no checks. Nobody knows where they are. Customer service doesn't even pick up the phone. Zero stars.

I went to deposit a check through the drive through. I couldn't remember my account number. The teller refused to look it up to make the deposit. She said it was "against their new policy to look up account numbers in the drive through" Seems quite ridiculous!. The check I was depositing had my name on it which would have matched the account name as well. When I went to look up the account number from my computer that I happened to have in my car - she said she couldn't wait for me to look it up- she didn't have time to wait - she said she would have to help other customers in line...( there was one other car in the whole drive through- and I had just sat there in line for about 15 mins waiting for her to help the one car ahead of me) - She proceeded to tell me it was almost closing time and reiterated again that she did not have time to wait that she needed to close on time. Worst customer service I have experienced with this credit union.

    Response from the owner

Hi Debbie, we will be sending over this information internally as well as following up with the branch. We apologize for the frustration.

I worked with Brenda to get my first ever car loan and she was fantastic! She walked me through everything step by step and answered all of my dumb questions with ease and in laymen's terms! She made buying my vehicle so easy!

I only have a car loan, but getting help is almost impossible. I’ve even received requests on my loan from their title Dept asking me questions that they should have as they were the lender! Based on my experience I would not use them if you have another option.
