America First Credit Union S Durango Dr, Las Vegas

Been banking for over 2 years here. Today I found out that they have a $500 atm withdrawal limit for a 24 hour period. If you need to withdrawl more you have to visit a branch period. Even if your out of town they will not help you raise it temporarily to withdrawal what you need. They will not raise your atm withdrawal limits period as its a company policy I was stated. I was told by the branch to try and go to a a grocery store to do cash back at check out. Unfortunately there is also limit on withdrawing when checking out set by the store. I have always been a huge fan of this credit union and today I have learned they do not respect there customers needs. Who's money really is it? Sure don't seem like mine if I'm restricted on how much I can withdrawal from a atm. Other credit unions and banks I have banked at will do a temporary increase if needed after verifying your info. Just wanted to let everyone know and beware.

The WORST phone wait times imaginable. Every time I call the branch it’s at least a 30 minute wait time. While looking at the “live” indicator of how busy the branch is at the current hour, it says “not busy” and I’m still waiting at least 30 minutes on the phone for a 20m estimated wait. Awful. Every time. At least they’re friendly.

After dealing with numerous people, I was misinformed many times during a loan process & a business account application. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Incompetent staff. Was assigned Michael for my loan process as my "point of contact". Spoke to him Monday morning. Attempted to call him back @ 1:00pm, no answer, left a voice mail. 3 hours later, still nothing. Called again. No answer. Called twice again the next day, no answer. Called main office, they said "I think he's off today". It's now the end of the day Thursday, still no return phone call. Finally get things sorted out and in process through main office. Went to local branch on Durango and was dealing with Jastine. Expressed to Jastine at my local branch the urgency to get this process completed as time was important. He stated the application should be completed the following day and the loan I was already approved for through my personal account would be resubmitted through the ne business account. Called Jastine the following day to check the status. Once again, no answer, left a message. Called again, no answer. Called the following day, again, no answer, left message. Finally called main office again. Was now told that the business application takes several days and they are also running 2 day's behind! Screw it, cancel my application, cancel my loan. I'll write the check my self! Didn't "NEED" the loan, was just how I chose to handle this transaction. So between misinformation, and 2 employee's that are too incompetent to return phone calls or update their voicemail to let clients know they are off, on vacation, busy, not handling my account anymore, whatever, America First lost a $70,000.00 loan and quite possibly my future business. So it's now Thursday afternoon. After calling since Monday, calling and reporting this incident to a supervisor, calling both Michael & Jastine and leaving messages on their voicemail that they are responsible for losing a $70,000.00 loan for America First, and speaking to a woman who called to continue with the application (that I canceled the day before) and told her what happened and why I cancelled the loan & application, STILL NO CALL BACK with an apology, an attempt to correct the situation, an attempt to salvage a good client, NOTHING!!!!! What a shame!

I was having an emergency on Friday came in 15min before closing and the dude in there went above and beyond to help me... Got a new checking account, savings account and debit card all in Less then 10 min thos guys are really on the ball over there.

Opening an account with this bank was the best decision I ever made in my life. I neither have a perfect or good credit score but I was able to apply for 10k loan and was approved. This bank gave me a second chance and I am happy to be able to get back on track to get my credit score up. The employees are very courteous and they treated my not just as another customer but as a part of the America First Credit Union family. Sam Chau and Elizabeth from durango branch are among the best employees they have and I never had any bad experience with this place. Thank you so much AFCU

Great customer service, the teller who assisted me “Yasmina” such a great personalty, cheerful and very knowledgeable, she did an amazing job and made sure everything was okay.

If i could give a negative 2 about this location I would they have a theif as a bank teller he has long hair kind of looks like a girl. I been up there on 4 Separate occasion was told my money would be im my account it going on 2 weeks and still getting the run around. And the bad thing is the guy that took my money is still working there be careful they stick up for there thieving employees

Dont be colored and depositing here. They had the nerve to hold a 25$ check. that should be illegal based on Federal regulations. they called to tell me they dont profile but would they hold a white person check for 25$. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BANK GO SOMEWHERE ELSE LIKE, CREDIT UNION1.

America First is the best Credit union i have ever had. The folks are nice and very helpful. They were the first ones to help me after my bankruptcy and i have paid every loan back or have not missed a payment on current loans. America First...I love you lol I am back on track with my credit.
