They are very friendly but I feel mislead and misinformed. After answering a call in February I discovered I owed a Debt. I was informed by 2 different representatives that they were not a credit reporting agency. Then after I made my 1st payment they showed up on my credit as a new collection in March. We had settled an amount based of What I felt I truly owe on the debt (tried to negotiate the debt with the original person it was owed to). I called in and asked if I pay the rest of the settlement in full today if they would remove from my credit as I was told (and I recorded it) that they were not a credit reporting agency. They then tried to change the settlement and say if I paid in full they would remove from my credit. The supervisor was trying to convince me to pay in full through the agent i was talking too after i was lied to already. This was after we had settled an amount and I was assured multiple times "Alpha recovery is not a credit reporting agency". Either way I still paid the settlement in full but wish they would have kept their word and not reported to my credit and/or at least delete it as they told me (on a call I recorded) they don't report to credit. And they didn't report to my credit until after I made my 1st payment. This is really hurting me. I am a recently widowed mom of 4 kids that is struggling to get a place to live with this collection on my credit.

I had an account with Alpha Recovery group and when I called to take care of it I was helped by a very kind, patient, girl named Lanaye LaCrue. She was happy to help me and explained the process and how they ended up with my debt. She also was happy to take the time to ask her supervisor a couple of questions for me and it really changed my attitude toward debt collectors calling me. Her supervisor was very kind and patient as well. It just felt like she was there to help more so than just attempt to collect money and move on to the next. Also looking forward to seeing my credit score go up! Appreciate you guys!

John Kelly was the nicest man. He worked hard to make sure my payments were affordable with my fixed income. He gets the 5 stars because he deserves them!

I got blocked by this company on the phone by calling repeatedly and asking questions, if they are harassing you. I suggest you do the same. Dan Anderson, on of their department managers refused to explain the details of our interaction. But freely gave away my birthday after he got frustrated. These people are vile. Dan Anderson repeatedly told me that I have no idea whats going on and at one point when I misspoke a word, he made fun of me saying "you can't even talk" I doubt thats following any federal laws or regulations. They are bullies, do not let them bully you.

Can't say I'd normally feel compelled to write a five-star view for a debt collection agency but honestly the process couldn't have gone more smoothly and I really appreciated their flexibility and treating me with respect.

I spoke with Wesley Thomas on my account and he was very nice and helpful in helping get the account resolved after we have been out of work due to Covid 19. I was glad to be able to come up with a plan to settle this. He was reassuring that if we run into problems during the settlement or even want to payoff quicker to call him. Not all collection agency's are bad or have rude people. Thanks for the help Weasley

This company was the second agency to be hired to collect debt from college students from Gather Souther in Memphis, TN. They have charged me $792 for two years now on my credit score. This company has not tried to settle this dispute with me after have called and emailed them many times. I have yet to hear from them and now am having to get an attorney

on august 18 2021, i spoke very successfully with an agent by the name of Brett Burk who took me thru the process of settling my account...He was very professional, personable and knowledgeable of what was necessary to fulfill my every need. i appreciated some who treated my like i was a valued customer explaining in detail what was i needed to know...you should have more agents like him

Considering this ia a collection company and we are mid-pandemic... they have been really great with working with me on getting an old rental paid off and working with me on payments. I'm super happy with their customer service and Wesley is such a great guy and is understanding. I wish all people could approach their jobs like him and understanding that some of us are simply on really hard times. Wesley should you see this.. bless you. I'm not sure what Danny Gibbs is being paid, but whatever it is, it should substantially more! I mean this wholeheartedly when I say that Mr. Gibbs provided the best telephone customer service I have ever received in my life. This goes for customer service in any industry with which I have had to interact. Mr. Gibbs' personality shone through the phone and he demonstrated sincere concern for my situation. He was more than helpful in helping me resolve my problem. It was refreshing to speak to someone as helpful as Mr. Gibbs and to say that he went above and beyond would be a sincere understatement. If you have to work with Alpha Recovery Corp., I HIGHLY recommend that you request to speak to Danny Gibbs!

I have talked with Wesley Thomas and he has been a great help in getting this debt paid off. He has worked with us and always been helpful and pleasant to talk with. I appreciate all of his help over the course of paying off this debt. More companies need people like Wesley.

Today I had the opportunity of speaking with a wonderful associate named Dalton, this was my first experience dealing with this kind of Corporation and I could not have had a better experience. He was kind, informative, and extremely helpful. In a field that associates with such a negative stigma, I am glad the stigma was proven wrong by the amazing help that I received. Dalton deserves a raise at the very least.

I worked with Kim Scott for about 6 months on a balance I had due to a change in circumstances. Kim was very professional and always pleasant to speak with. He made me feel like he was my advocate and not just the collection agency's minion to squeeze me for what I was worth. He humanized the experience and was always willing to work with me on rescheduling upcoming payments. While I'm happy to be done with this debt, I think I'll actually miss speaking with him on a monthly basis. I spoke with a man named Wesley Thomas (I believe was his last name) who was extremely professional and helpful. Not like many debt collectors I’ve ever talked to. I named a price for payment plan and he scened my uncertainty on making the payment so we brought it down to a price I was comfortable with. He made it very clear he was here to help and not try and get the whole medical debt out of me in one day. It was a pleasure speaking with him and trying to resolve my debt.

Received text messages to contact "your representative from ARC", I had no clue what this company was so I tried to Google ARC but too many different companies popped up. My concern was that I have been waiting on very important phone calls so I decided to call to find out what company this was. Representative Michelle Romero answered and wanted to verify who I was and my personal identification, to which I became very concerned. I asked her to provide the company's name and business, what they do, so I could get a better understanding. She provided me the name and said she could not discuss anything else because it was personal information. I again asked her to verify what kind of business because I didn't fully understand but she argued she gave me the name and told me she couldn't discuss private personal information, I fully understand regulations regarding these matters but I was asking what kind of business this was and where they were located. She would not answer so I did a quick Google search, had her confirm it's a collection agency out of Colorado. I asked why she could not provide that information, it's my understanding by law collectors have to identify themselves, and she said she isn't required to. If she had provided this information when I asked I could have promptly provided her with pertinent information regarding the matter. 2 stars because she was polite but didn't help me to understand what the company does and made the experience too difficult.

Called this company to make payment arrangements. This lady on the phone was very nasty towards me. I told her I can start making payments next month . This month is hard for me. She like well you need to pay this month. I kept telling her I honestly can't. She stated they send a letter out to me and I told her I never once receive a call or a letter from this company. She thinks I'm lying and continues to be rude. She kept saying I need to make some kind of payment and then hung up on me. I was trying do the right thing.(I don't remember her name)

Alpha Recovery Corp gets NO STARS from me. The agent and supervisor I dealt with are very DISHONEST and LIARS. They went behind my back to get a check cut from my Bank when my Bank Declined the 2 transactions because the company couldn't be verified. I never gave the authorization to cut a check. Don't work with LIARS!!😡😡😡

If i had the opportunity to give a negative star rating I would. Today 06/11/2021 I answered a call from what i could of assumed was a collection agency, sure enough it was. I had answered a call by an agent named Julian representing Alpha Recovery. I am well aware of what to expect considering the fact that I and my family were severely impacted by Covid last year. I am well aware many of us had to face the nightmare of a call stating we were out of the job. I was impacted to the extent i had to support 3 house holds, my self, my mothers and younger sisters. I explained my situation to Julian, he then had the audacity to commented i was neglecting to do my part and cover my debt, which is something i simply can’t do at the moment because i am the only person working in my household supporting two others. I tried sympathizing with him after he mentioned he him self had also lost his job as a manager and expressed how sorry i was, how horrible i know it was but i was happy that he was able to start a job this May 4th as he stated. I still couldn’t jump on any payment arrangement because the little funds i do have cover more than one house hold. He in a very rude demeanor express how i was neglecting to cover my debt that i had gotten my self in to and express how poorly I’m managing my credit. As if I didn’t know it wasn’t something I’d do on purpose he then went on to comment that i signed a note for the loan, i am very much repulsed by his negative customer service and rude demeanor i asked to please speak to his supervisor. He transferred me to a lady by the name of Cathy. Cathy has asked how shew could help, shook by the fact that i felt attacked by such a horrible exchange of words with the need to defend my self from some one who is suppose to be helping me, after knowing him self what it’s felt like to go through loosing a job due to COVID Cathy apologized and stated she would review the call. I thanked her and she then jumped into wanting to collect a payment or set a payment plan. Expressing my concern as to why I wasn’t able to do so I she stated i was neglecting to do anything about my case. I work for customer services, i have done so for over 15 year I’ve never been insulted to such level of horrible mannered human beings.

The ladies from this company made my experience very easy and very Helpful!! So a great shout-out for Jasmine Martinez, office manager, and Elaina an employee of the company. I greatly appreciate all of their patience and hard work!

1 of 2: Who wants to be contacted by a debt collector in the first place right? But who wants to be contacted by a debt collector that is aggressive, loud, rude, and impatient? That was the ONE STAR experience I had with DANNY GIBBS. This man cut me off several times, spoke over me, and got snarky with me all within a two minute conversation. So much to the point that I hung up and called back to speak with a different representative - which brings me to 2 of 2. 2 of 2: This 5 STAR review is giving credit to KEIJANAY INGRAM who was the representative that helped me when I called back. She was patient, soft spoken, calm, polite, and informative. She is the person I recommend working with if you have a debt to pay with this company. She spoke to me as if I was a person, which I really appreciated. The phone number that the company had called me from showed up as spam on my phone so I was being very cautious and she was able to explain and put my mind at ease. Today I spoke to an amazing young man named Wesley Thomas who clearly needs a raise for what he is doing. he has the patience of Joeb which in his business that is hard to find a gem like him. I truly hope his company recognizes this. I am a boss and I think that is important. I had a pleasant experience with Alpha Recovery. The employees were professional and courteous, which are the 2 most important traits that most debt collection companies are missing. They treated me like a person, with dignity and respect. The bottom line is pay your bills, but if you happen to have a bill go into collections, it's better to have Alpha Recovery handle your account. You will get great customer service and a payment plan that is flexible with your personal budget.

I had to begin with a very unpleasant conversation with a supervisor named Shane but after researching the company to make sure they were legit I called back and spoke with Jonathan Kelley, who was truly the nicest and most professional person I have ever dealt with under debt collector circumstances. Jonathan helped me figure out what the debt was from and offered me a very generous discount to settle my debt. I went from being mad enough at Shane to file a legal complaint with the state attorney general to being very glad at the end of my calling back to speak with Jonathan. Jonathan was great and his supervisor Cassie was fantastic too. I really appreciated their understanding of my unique situation as a domestic abuse survivor and willingness to work with me. Jonathan really turned this all around and he deserves lots of kudos.

Wesley Thomas was wonderful. He treated me with respect and understanding. I was so far behind that I was at a loss as to how to settle my debt. He worked with me and helped me come up with a feasible plan. He even helped me lower the debt amount. Please hire more people like Wesley. He treated me like a person, not a dead-beat.

Lakisha Smith and Ray were top notch! I could tell Lakisha truly cared about my situation and was patient with me. She was never pushy or rude and always very kind. She was the kindest person who called me and I choose to work directly with her and Ray regarding my issue. Unfortunately, I had a couple other people contact me from this place and was very turned off by how rude and pushy they were and did not even take the time to listen to what I had to say and my concerns about what I was going through. I made it clear to those other callers I had already spoke and promised I would call Lakisha back and work with her. I always made sure to fulfill my promises on calling Lakisha back to work with my situation on the days we agreed on because I truly had respect for her and could tell she cares about helping people. Even though times are tough for me financially Lakisha made the experience genuine and I wanted to take care of my issue with the little I had at this time. To be honest how a couple of the other callers treated me I would have probably avoided answering from them or even took care of my issue even though I would have to fulfill it at sometime but dealing with Lakisha makes people feel like someone is willing to help and work with you in your situation and you feel comfortable fulfilling your issue because of the professionalism and kindness she gives out to you. I wish her and Ray the best for taking their time with my situation and appreciate them for being good people.

I had the extreme pleasure speaking with Ms. Ladonna Lewis and I have to say I've never actually looked forward to working with a dept collection agency until now! She was beyond compassionate to my situation, and I could tell that she actually cared about my circumstances, and wanted to help me out to the best of her abilities while doing her job. No arguing or issues from the initial phone call up to getting my payments taken care of. The easiest and most understanding and incredibly COMPASSIONATE group of individuals. Not all debt collectors are bad, and this company is one of the best. I don't want to have to end up being in contact with them again but if I have to, I know that this is the understanding company to be with.

Aaron Harris is the best rep that I have ever worked with. He is always available to assist with and although we are working on business related things he is also very warming and active with his conversation. He is definitely making the situation more tolerable, understandable and easy. I wish that i can deal with him with all credit issues.

I was contacted by Alicia regarding an outstanding account that has been lost in the shuffle. Right off the bat Alicia handled herself in an exemplary, professional, polite, and kind fashion. Getting a call from a debt collector is never fun, for either party. But, my experience with Alicia and this company was the most positive experience.
