Alexander Coin & Pawn Graceland Ave, Des Plaines

First guitar I bought from Jon at Alexander's for exceptional price. Started me playing again after 15 year break. Great store great treatment. I went buy the next week and bought 2 more guitars and started my brother playing. Now I have bought 6 guitars pawned some things over the 30 years I've lived here and only have dealt with Jon. Everything time I have done any type of business pawn or purchase, I have never walked out unhappy or feeling I have been given the best deal available.

While at this pawn shop my experience was great! I’ve been a handful of times and always was assisted very quickly! They are very nice and respectful and I’ve always enjoyed my time there. They are also very reasonable with prices and such!

These guys actually have a soul. I had a very bad tire blowout. They were about to close but he stayed 45 minutes late after they were closed and missed his plans to help me. Also didn't ask me for a nickel . Real genuine good-hearted folks.

John the owner is friendly, down to earth, knowledgeable and extremely fair. He is a business man who understands what it takes to keep customers happy so that they will come back. Dealing with this place has been a pleasure. Dealt with them as a younger guy and recently when I sold a trumpet. The exchange was quick and very fair. I wish them luck.

A pawn shop with integrity! Happy I found this pawn shop driving in downtown Des Plaines,IL coming home from work and was able to get a great bike for my son at a super price. I believe it was the owner that lowered my price before having to go through a haggling session. Recommend to all!!!

I've been going here since I was young making it over 25 years. I have always been treat with nothing but respect when selling or buying goods. The owner has always given me a above honest price when he knew I needed money no matter what. I needed to get medication for my 100 year old grandmother that was very expensive and any pawn broker would of taken advantage of that situation by lowering the money for pawn. At Alexander's he actually helped me out when I was still short 2 dollars. If that doesn't say enough I don't know what else to say. Real class in my opinion and jems of all sorts pop up and always gives you the honest going price by condition of product that you couldn't get better on a internet buy. Not to mention you get to see it first.

If you are a loyal pawner or customer, they will nearly always give you your asking price!! Also if you call ahead in a loan that you owe on they will give you a couple of extra days. Just like anyone else, you have to build trust for that bigger loan. Honestly thank you guys, and thank you for the chargers and the free gift today!!

Stopped in to browse after getting vaccinated at the Walgreens down the street. Didn't find anything that caught my eye but the staff was extremely pleasant and didn't act like I was wasting their time like you get in a lot of other pawn shops. Bonus points for Maisie, the cute business dog they have as "security"
