Needed a “new-sed” car coz my old ride was about to die so I took out a loan with AFFCU & they gave me one of the best rates around. The wonderful thing (also) is that if you make all your payments on time they offer you a “skip a payment,” once or twice a year, kind of as a thank you; which really comes in handy especially when I’m wanting to go on vacation! Not sure why some people have given them low ratings? I’ve always received friendly, professional service. Maybe I should knock on wood? Any who, I REFUSE to deal with BANKS & only use LOCAL CREDIT UNIONS because I believe my $ should go back to my community vs. going to a bunch of rich tycoons on Wall Street! But that’s just me! Happy holidays! ❤️

The ITM is always out of service when I go. And take longer than others to release a check making me go negative and late on bills a couple times. Not to mention there not a lot of locations so I I have to drive across town.

I have been trying to help my elderly father resolve a charge on his account that he did not make. I have been dealing with this bank for a month. They continue to direct me to other people and tell me to check back in 48 hours. I checked back in 48 hrs to be told they are filling out fraudulent paperwork to get my fathers money back and I would expect paperwork in his email to sign and send back. It's been a week and I still have not recieved this paperwork. I have been dealing with this since early April. I would not recommend this bank to anyone. I feel like my fathers money was stolen and this bank could care less. Thank You for your non support. I am recommending to my father to change banks. [email protected]

New to Texas and went in to this credit union because of its proximity to me. Lesson learned, do your research folks. Was set up with Julian who kept calling me by the wrong name, throughout the entire conversation. Wanted to set up a personal checking/savings as well as a business account. Julian could not answer any questions (including ‘what is the difference between the two types of checking accounts’) without reaching out to his manager. He misspelled items on my official application requiring multiple corrections. He was completely unable to answer any questions regarding the business account. I finally asked to speak to this ‘manager’ Hollie who couldn’t really answer either. She advised of what I needed and I believe I had those documents but she said it didn’t look right and that I could email them in, with no reference, and someone would look them over and get back to me in a few days. Basically it seems like no one there knows what they are doing. At the end Julian wished me a good day. I asked about opening deposits and he’s like ‘oh I guess you go to the teller for that’. I’m sorry, you don’t know the procedure? Don’t you work here? So I go to the teller, Vanessa. My old debit card has my old name (which is why I’m setting up new accounts). I legally changed my name and moved out of state after a situation that jeopardizes my personal safety and I’m finally feeling safe. Only to have this teller object to my card. This is fine, I pull out my certified name change document to verify it was my old name and she says the card declined anyway. I assume because of the name difference. So, instead of using the card, I pull cash out of the ATM and the teller has walked off with my certified paperwork. If you know certified paperwork, you know that the staple cannot be removed or it becomes invalid. This is my only copy and it was filed states away. To go get another copy again puts me in jeopardy. She comes back and says they need a copy for the records, fingernail already prying at the staple. I loudly object and, apparently surprised, she hands it back. I explain they cannot remove the staple. She says they need a copy. I ask why. She says in case I need to do anything with my old name. I won’t, I tell her, and further I don’t want the two names linked, for personal reasons. She calls Hollie over who insists they need it. I explain to Hollie the same thing, it’s not needed and they cannot remove that staple. I’m in tears at this point and she proceeds to debate with me over it. I finally say no firmly and go to leave. At this point I’m so pissed. It’s taken almost two hours to do this, because Julian was very slow. I tell Hollie I want the accounts closed. She says “I don’t understand why this is such a big deal”. I say “You don’t need to understand. Close the accounts.” She says, snarky voice, “there will be a 5 dollar penalty and you’ll have to talk to Julian again”. I don’t care about the 5 dollars, let’s call it a fee for not researching this crappy business. But the fact that she uses talking to Julian as a deterrent? Lady, you obviously don’t even respect him as an employee but you think customers are impressed by his poor service skills? Jesus. I closed the accounts and will never do business with this unprofessional company ever again.

I came here to use the item drive thru, but was occupied by employees, so I just walked right up to the one inside & withdrew! Very convenient!

I have been a member for over 25 year an was very happy with Air Force Federal Credit Union. Service has been declining. They have cut back their operating hour and customer service contact phone hours. I think they have even started using an overseas phone service. Customer contact wait time is long and agents are hard to understand. My guess is low quality customer service is the reason why they took the word Air Force out of the name.

Dont be fooled by their auto loan APR's. Credit of 700, they tried to say i only qualified for 4.9% APR for a used vehicle. When Navy Federal beat them easily.
