Achieva Credit Union 62nd Ave N, St. Petersburg

Used to be a great credit union when I became member in ‘97 up until a couple of years ago and until now. Never really cared for customer service as I rarely went into the branch other than to deposit checks once or twice a month. What began to concern me is the onset of lack of banking knowledge and absence of basic financial principles among staff (particularly) at 62nd ave branch. Their employee turnout seems to be exceptionally high. Not sure what the problem is but I am in the process of opening my accounts at another bank. If you’re looking to open an account here, think twice then look elsewhere.

St.Pete, 4th street and 62nd Ave. horrible customer service again. Teller couldn’t figure out what to do, would not ask for help. I repeatedly had to ask to have my drivers license and account I.D.card returned so I could just leave......manager was standing right there? Wouldn’t help the teller or the customer. Horrible customer service again.

I have been a member of this credit union since 2016. They helped me get my first credit card. As a healthcare provider they have helped me get free scrubs. Recently, I came in to see if I was eligible for a car loan. With my good credit score , they were able to get me a great car loan rate. Marva and Courtney were amazing, patient and knowledgeable. I will be staying with this credit union and particularly this branch for a very long time.

Be very careful with this company for car loans. We were in the middle of switching insurance for our car and due to miscommunication with the old insurance company, we didnt have insurance for 2 days. Literally, 2 days. Achieva is tacking on $1380 to our loan for those 2 days. We have had other issues, but this is the recent issue.

I don't have a bank acct with these people but my car loan is with them....i have had the loan for about 6 months now and recently have been having some issues.....they keep raising my car payment for absolutely NO REASON!!!!! Never late on a payment, payments always made in full and on time. 1st time they raised it was because they said I didn't have car insurance for 4 days....so for those 4 days they put insurance on the car (even though by state law you have so many days before something happens with that) but whatever I'll pay....but this time it's higher by over $100 and I have absolutely no idea why. WORSE PLACE I HAVE EVER HAD AN AUTO LOAN FROM.....DO NOT GET AN AUTO LOAN HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

Fix the outside ATM! You only have one. It appears your hours have changed since it a weekday and you’re not open. What bank repeatedly has an ATM that does not take deposits. This is not the first or second time this has happened. It has happened multiple times in the last couple of years. Please fix the outside ATM or get another one. Thank you.

I love Achieva & have banked w/ them for over 30 years now. I have several accounts w/ them & plan to open another one soon for an IRA rollover. I still use the old "Molly" Money Line instead of the on-line banking & have never had even one problem transferring money, reviewing pay check direct deposits & cleared checks or anything else. Every person working at Achieva has always been friendly, professional & very helpful, including the man I just spoke w/ named J.T. All of the staff goes above & beyond to find answers to any question & provide the best service possible.

Horrible service I went to cash a check I was negative 45 I told them I was going to use a different check to pay it and they didn't listen

Awful customer service. We have accounts with several banks in the area and wanted to shift our business to a credit union. We had been working on our house and boat and were a bit scruffy when we arrived. The woman who spoke with us made it abundantly clear that they didn't want our business and highly suggested that we try another branch. Don't judge a book by its cover, our deposits are substantial.

Been with them a long time. Great staff, fair rates, free checking, good remote banking features. They are a user-owned credit union, not a bank, so the motivation is somewhat different. They have an excellent solvency score.
