ACE Cash Express E Riverside Dr, Austin

I (25, Blk Fm) went to the Ace Cash Express on Riverside to cash a refund check where a young man named Jordan was not very pleasant with me. I was understanding considering it was a fairly large amount but even with cooperation he was still rude. He treated me as if I was coming in with a hot check! He asked for my tax refund and when I provided it and ask why he needed it he was rude and was like "your gonna need it to verify. This is a large amount so if you want your check cashed today you're going to need to send it to my district manager by email." But in the rudest way. There were a lot of customers in there and I was extremely embarrassed. If I didn't need the money right then I would have left and tried another location. I didn't want to think it had anything to do with race but after seeing the previous customers and how they were treated before me I couldn't help but feel it was racially motivated. I'm disgusted.

There was a woman named April who gave me excellent service She came from a different store to help out at the riverside store and she did a phenomenal job everybody there Always give me great service but April did an outstanding job and I’m just very amazed at the work ethic that she had so thank you so much for making my life easier and continue doing good work

UNSAFE BUSINESS AND GENERAL AREA! A man robbed me INSIDE of this business, in front of about a dozen customers and employees, including moms & small children. Roxanne was working at and refused to help me. She simply stood back and witnessed as I was attacked. She did, however, offer to phone the police, AFTER ASSAILANT MADE HIS ESCAPE. Also, the parking lot is a navigational mess of what you'd think is a construction zone, but is always that way. I rated one-star bc zero was not an option.

Had to cash a check from my holiday side job and the staff was very helpful and patient even during this money stressful time of the year. I got to witness a difficult customer. It's sad to see grown people act like children and throw a fit in the middle of a store.

I just think that you are the best and if it wasn't for you guys I would have never seen my money get cashed and I would have been stuck with a check and no cash...Thanks Ace.......
