Loved this bank until they shortened the hours so much, it's darn near impossible to get to. Most banks are 8am-4 or 5pm and even a few Saturday hours. We have to go out of our way to use this location. Been here longer than the bank. We'll be looking for a different bank that's closer. Ryan was the BIGGEST reason we stayed.

I wouldn’t recommend this bank as even a last option. Your going to get multiple charges and overdraft fees that has nothing to do with you. They refuse to dispute or do anything about it. Been going on for over a month now and nothing resolved and issues keeps happening with this bank. Run!!! Your better off with a green dot and netspend prepaid cards

The location is very busy. Despite that, the staff has always been super friendly, helpful and courteous to me and my family. I enjoy banking at Academy Bank.

Never apply for a loan with these people because you most likely will not get it. My scores were close to 700, I have had a secured card with Academy since 2015 never missed a payment. They changed the card to unsecured and gave me my deposit back. I asked them for a credit increase and was told I didn't have enough credit, which I had another credit card and a car loan at the time. Applied at two different big well know banks afterwards and was approved at both places. My sister-in-law (700 scores) applied for a loan and was denied. So don't let them pull your credit scores down, just to deny you.

Horrible bank!!!! They will steal your money and tell you it's your fault. Then I was left in hold til they closed and was disconnected after 20 min waiting to talk to someone. I will be closing my accounts ASAP and diligently h a report with the bbb. I strongly advise everyone to stay far away from these thieves

If it wasn’t for Ryan I wouldn’t even come to this branch came in today 1/28/22 and the teller that helped me was unprofessional the time was between 10:44am and 11:00am young white girl asking why the checks I was depositing from the same company not just all in one check?????? Me: call the company and ask them either your depositing them or not why I’m being questioned why they sent to me the way they did then she asks me if I’ve gotten checks from them before??? That’s none of your business!!!! Will be closing going to another branch

Ask for Ryan Grace, a true leader-) He is very professional highly recommended. He has done multiple loans for me and every time it’s been a breeze a true champion thank you Ryan. Give Academy bank a call will take care of you.

I had an account for years with academy bank and now I am going tomorrow to close my account they applied me for a loan which I didn’t want them to do and they have tried taking money from my account when I don’t have funds in there which messed up my paychecks royally. Will definitely be closing my account I already have a new account do not trust this banks they are crooks

This bank is horrible absolutely horrible! Nothing is up to date or accurate. The app, online portal, automatic verification, and the representatives can never give the correct information. They all say you have no pending transactionso but then 4 days later they cHargett you almost 200 dollars for the transactions that everything has said was cleared. Including the people on the phone and at the branch! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM! it's not worth the hassle! They take people's money after they lie to them about their transactions. Then when you call to figure out why they talk to you like your stupid! So if you want a problem everytime you go or use your account, and you want to just throw money away to the bank then yes open an account with Academy Bank!

Worst of the Missouri branches by far. Took 20 minutes in depositing a paycheck only to find out they have no idea what they are doing behind the desk and decide to cancel said transaction. This is the ONLY branch ive found to be rude and unknowledgable. Fenton branch doesn't even ID me anymore; Ive been banking in the region since June '07 for Christ sake. Looks like im traveling 15 miles out of the way just for a professional banking experience. Thank you Kirkwood branch for letting me down. Again.
