First off, Tom is the best to work with hands down I wish he was just able to handle my account during the duration of my loan by himself!! Customer Service is friendly, however keep in mind that if you have other things to pay for and your car note is not at tip top priority to pay on time, understand that they will continue to call you day after day continuously!! They leave multiple voicemails over and over again til your last payment!!! Secondly, keep in mind that this finance company CANNOT OR WILL NOT change your due date which would be helpful for some people that know they will be paying their note late, if it's your last option I understand but just know this will happen
Hi Brie! Thanks for leaving a review, and mentioning Tom. You’re right, Tom is always going above and beyond. We’ll be sure to share your praises with them! Unfortunately the law does not allow us to make any changes to the contract when we buy it from the dealer. It is important to ask the dealership to adjust your due date at the time of sale. A lot of people don't know that is an option so thank you for bringing light to that.

As a professional myself in the customer service and lending industry I have NEVER in my nearly 25 years in the business experienced such unprofessionalism demonstrated by Jason Cook the morning of March 30th, 2022. You should NEVER under any circumstances use profanity, demonstrate rude behavior, or escalate your voice with anyone whom you should be assisting and or servicing. Not only did Jason display all of the behaviors stated previously but also disconnected the call because a 10 day payoff for a mutual customer was requested. This type of behavior should not be tolerated and should have grave consequences not just in our industry but all industries. This is a formal complaint to be reviewed by Jason's superiors such as President Jim Newell Jr and all those in positions of power whom his actions may impact. This type of behavior ruins the reputation and integrity of companies such as Midwest Acceptance and is extremely disheartening to its many stock and shareholders. I guarantee this is not the 1st complaint against Jason and it needs to be addressed immediately to prevent further damage to the brand and reputation of this company.

They accepted me when no one else would. I have seen all the negative reviews but I honestly had a very pleasant and easy experience with them over a 3 year period. When I paid my car off, they congratulated me and were celebrating with me over the phone. It was awesome. They were friendly and helpful everytime I called them. When I first started my loan, I had to call in to pay and not once was anyone rude or unpleasant with me. I paid every payment on time so I never had to worry about any negativity. Would absolutely recommend them!

My son's car was stolen and they worked with us when we got it back. George was very helpful and helping us get payments up to date. Car is paid off but would use them again to get another car. Thanks for all the help.

Most people would assume that the people who leave negative reviews are people who don't pay their notes. That may be true in some cases but the vast majority of the reviews are correct. Midwest Acceptance is the Slum Lord of finance companies. The provide high interest rates loan for high mileages car to people with little to no or bad credit with minimal positive effect on your credit. After paying on our car for 3 years a manager went on vacation and some miscommunication landed us with our car being repossessed. When we went to retrieve our items from the car we found that the company our car was towed to had accessed our car and taken our possessions out. The was within 3 days of our car being taken and receiving a letter that stated we had 90 days to retrieve our items. On top of that because we had so much stuff in the car they took what they determined to be important and sent the rest to another lot to prep our car for resale. I put up a fight and was able to get to the other lot to retrieve some things but the person working there admitted to taking some of the things that the other company left behind including cell phones and tablets. God however blessed us with another car after telling the other finance company about our experience at a much lower interest rate. I still plan to take further action against the company but warn you friend about getting in bed with this company.

I cannot say enough good things about this business and the employees. Covid hit, lost job, they worked with me with compassion! Im sure I wouldn't get treated like that at too many other places. Strongly dislike this company's attitude towards their current customers. I have never in my life dealt with such a rude "customer service" payment server! Kathy is her name! If you have a current loan threw this company get out quick. Refinance if you have to. I will tell anyone looking for a loan not to go threw them!! If I ever was to speak to someone like that being a call center person myself, I would have been fired immediately! STAY AWAY!! Not only that they need to get with the times, no online payment, no debit by phone. Only mail in check/money order or electronic check when you call your payment in after speaking to rude people first.

I have been involved in Auto Finance for 18 years and have worked with Midwest Acceptance for at least 16 of those years. They have always conducted themselves with honesty and integrity and I would recommend them to any dealer or customer. Love those guys!

So strange that I am seeing all these negative reviews on this lender. They have been nothing but kind and courteous with me through out my 3 yr plus loan with them. I had a very huge life change after I purchased my vehicle and it effected my ability to always pay on time. I would call them, let them know when I was going to pay, and they were accommodating ... Of course with in limits! Amy, Tony and Jan are the three people that I have had a pleasure of speaking with. Not bad, not bad at all ..... : )

Well if you can help it, DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!. no really they are very rude even when I call to make a payment on time or before the due date. I have a co-worker that has the same auto loan through them and they keep call work. The car loan I had before this was United Auto Credit. They were not as bad compare to Midwest. I will try to pay this loan off quickly.

about 5-6 years ago I tried using them. I asked the salesman over and over again whats my rate, he kept changing the subject. SO I signed, I got home, pulled out my calculator and figured out with insurance and the car note, I would be paying close to $600 per month. The Next day after I got off from work I drove the car back to the lot, and told them in polite but stern manner. I'm not paying for this car, the rate is to high, I'm leaving it here, give me the keys to my car. they kept beating around the bush trying to convince me, to keep it. after about 30 minutes, I drove off in my car. Screw that I would rather ride the bus than pay some exorbitant rate. Their whole business model is to get you into a legally binding document and come up with reasons of why you are late, keep adding to the bill. Then sue you for non-payment and garnish your wages for non-payment. The courts are in cahoots and the judges are getting paid.

Giving this place 1 star is way too nice. This is the worst car financing corporation ever. Their customer service sucks. I was having car trouble with engine and had to pay 3k to get it fix which lead me struggle to keep up with my $300 car note payment. I've explained my situation to them one person understood and was willing to work with me. All of a sudden my cellphone and job number was being blown up with this place calling everyday asking for my payment. It was so overwhelming to where I was afraid to even answer my phone. There was a time where I was in the hospital and my mom answered my phone; their customer service person assumed that I was pregnant at the moment giving birth. That is very unprofessional for anyone to say without knowing what it is going. The car engine went out again around the same time so I was no longer able to drive there to make my payments. I started sending money orders thinking it would be fine and not keeping contact. Unfortunately I was told my payments did not make it there and they were lost. I was summoned to court in July to set up payment arrangements monthly. I called to make a payment over the phone with my boyfriend's card since I no longer have a job or my own debit card. He let's me use his card as my own since he banks at two different places. I was told i couldn't use the debit card unless it was in my name. Which sucks cause I'm a at home parent while my boyfriend works 6 days out of the week and he gave me one of his debit cards so I could have some for me as well to use to take of bills. If you can not pay online then why is that option on their website and phone line for you call. That is false advertisiment and it should be taken away as a feature from the company site and phone automatic line. I hate paying a money order with cause it seems to always get lost. I called today to since I have no choice, but to send a money order to see if they would send me a confirmation number; so that I would know my payment was credited to my account. I was rudely told my money order receipt was my confirmation of payment and they do not send confirmation numbers unless you payed with debit or credit over the phone with an additional $5 service fee. I hope for when I get a better car I will not finance with this place. This is suppose to be a place for people with no credit to help build it up in a 2 years spand. The interest rate is high and you typically end financing more money then you should. It is not worth it at all

I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism the lack of compassion from the employees and the amount of disrespect that they’re allowed to give to borrowers while they’re having a financial hardship. Typically companies with branding and national reputations don’t allow their representatives to speak with their customers in such a way. Anytime I’ve tried to ask a question I get hung up on or yelled at and demeaned as if I’m stupid. I’ve never had one decent experience with this company. If you have any choice at all do not finance your car through this company.

They are crooked.. my truck was repoed by them and sold I should only owe balance which was none after they sold the vehicle for same price . Mind you this debt is over 19 yrs old and not on my credit report.. now they are garnishing my check

I was a little nervous about having Midwest Acceptance for my vehicle loan as I had seen some negative reviews on them. When I hit a couple of financial glitches along the way, I almost expected the worst-case senerio. I couldn't have been more wrong. Ms. Fox was professional and pleasant in guiding me through a solution that worked out well!! Thank you Ms. Fox!!

I just left Midwest and I do have to say they were wonderful. They helped me out to get the best rates possible and miss fox has been the women who handled my account the whole way. 2 1/2 years with them and I do recommend them to try and get a loan through. Idk about the other people saying they are rude. I never received that from them. Always considerate and understanding.

So I went in to make my payment which i always take the exact amount.. So there is no confusion. Today the woman said that I owe more money.. So I explained that I've always given the exact amount and I've never been late. She was so unprofessional that I had to go get me previous receipt rather than her just look at the records. I don't appreciate having to do work that your getting paid to do. As soon as I can refinance I will. This company should be shut down. The amount of negative reviews is astounding. I work in customer service and would have been fired for acting the way she did. And by the way I still paid more even though I had the receipt THAT THEY GAVE ME! If I could give a negative review it would be -5* and how rediculous is it that they charge $5 to use a debit card!?! I have to pay you to pay you???

I would give 0 stars if I could. They unlawfully repossessed my car and charged me twice for the repossession fee. I have filed a lawsuit against them. You would think a financial institution would be able to keep track of their money coming in better but not these people. I was charged late fees when I wasn't late. Called and talked to them they said they would look into it and call me back the next day and never heard from them.

I haven't experienced the rudeness as the others have but I agree that it is kind of ridiculous that you cannot make a payment online or via telephone. I had mine set up through bill pay so didn't affect me but still think in this day and age a company should offer that. I am finally getting out after a year with them.... my credit was very challenged when I was forced with them but after a year paying on time and working out my issues I am able to refinance with Neighbors CU. They have been AWESOME through this approval process!

This company has very unfriendly and unprofessional customer service representatives! I do not recommend you waste your money or time with these people. I can never reach the people when I do call them. Luckily, I do not have to deal with them often because I pay online. I cannot reach them to find out anything! I can not wait to have my car paid off, so I do not have to deal with them!!!

I am currently leasing a vehicle through Midwest , had my van about 2 years now runs good haven't had any major problems with my 09 Caravan , payments are decent , they have worked with me in the past about getting my payments taken care of. Customer service is great when I call to pay my car note and quick.

Midwest Acceptance is one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever dealt with. I can't wait to refinance with a more customer friendly financial institution! They wrote down my checking account number wrong, then had the nerve to tell me "they aren't messing with my checks over the phone anymore." They offer no online payments, or even credit cards over the phone. I'm sorry MY business is a bother to you!
