How unfortunate that this uncommunicated hand-off happened, things would have been better off for everyone if he simply was not there to belligerently make everything worse.
I recommend that the business owners offer a direct way to reach them because it appears that all company communication goes through a shared email. Also, a consistent customer service experience would strengthen the long term reputation of the company. Hopefully Josh is a short chapter at this company and he doesn't reflect the values of the owners themselves. If you call and he picks up the phone, I highly recommend you find yourself another notary service because he WILL misinterpret and misperform the most clear and simplest of instructions while challenging you until his last breath.
