Great company to deal with. My loan was quick and easy. Had my loan now for a little over a year. Never had a problem at all. A few times I couldn't make my payment on the date it was due called and changed the date without a problem. Didn't have to pay any extra fees. Highly recommend!

Shady! Make sure you actually read the fine print (disclaimer as they call it). I thought they were helping me out when I had a bad couple months by postponing my payments to the end of the loan, I understood it as extending my loan a couple extra months, what they actually did was add the total to my last payment so I was blindsided with a $2,000 final payment. When I called them about it, their only reply was that "it was explained in the disclaimer".

This place is a joke. DON'T DO IT! We needed to take out a loan because we were going through some hardship after my oldest son was murdered so we needed some extra cash to help with the bills. We missed one payment, contacted the company to let them know we'd be late, but was going to pay. The payment was 15-20 day late an they came an TOOK THE CAR. That's right, took the car after one missed payment. Luckily we had more than one car. Or kids couldn't get to school or us to work. THEY DO NOT CARE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I REPEAT, DO NOT DO IT! Because if you do, you'll need a lawyer. Their robbing people without a mask. A disgrace to loan companies. Taking advantage of people going through hard time. No grace period, they said they called. Never did. We have over 40 calls from over 9 different numbers. But for some reason they didn't call before taking our car. They don't care if your at work or a funeral. Well, they've messed up this time. Lol. I'm a person who's reviews have viewed almost 200,000 times. So I hope I get my message across. This American Greed at its finest. We're opening a lawsuit against them. If this company has wronged you, you should join us. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH WILSHIRE/WESTLAKE.

If you go thru this service please pay attention and ready over everything before you sign the documents. They over charger you they make you pay $5 EVERYDAY that you account is active witch is a extra $150 a month that does not goes towards the pay off balance. I paid my account off almost 2 months now and still have yet to receive my title. They are unprofessional they call any and everybody to get in contact with you even if you never gave them that person information they will still find a way to call. As of today 11/13/2021 I just received my title today because I went to my local DMV with Registration papers and told them I paid the loan off they was able to print my title out right there no wait. So if your still waiting go to your local dmv

This place is a complete rip off. They increased my balance by $1300 from one month to the next with no valid explanation. They have nothing but bad attitudes over the phone and they're customer service is terrible. I called once to make a payment arrangement due to being off with covid and they told me it was ok not to worry then they repoed my vehicle and wanted $2000 to get it back!!! ...they are terrible I've been paying on my loan for a year and my balance has gone up. Someone needs to look into this place and there business practicces

This company has done for me has been more than helpful when I needed it most. Today Lizeth helped me get a plan worked out while having a problem this month, she helped me get something that wasn’t going to have to completely restart my entire payment term or have to worry about my car being taken away. I honestly felt like I was ACTUALLY being helped, not just being out in something that will help a little bit now but make it harder in the long run. I am very thankful for everything that they have done for me. They are truly one of the best companies for any title loans I’ve ever seen.. not to mention I was able to do EVERYTHING in online over the phone AND in between having to be at work. I know that a lot of people want to talk about how much they have to pay back in the end, honestly though, if you actually read your contract before you sign it then you would see that it’s exactly what we all signed for our names to pay for so they could LOAN us the money we either NEEDED or in some cases just WANTED to have at that moment. During the payback period, if I’m not paying my payment on time or I really don’t follow the scheduled plan then it is MY OWN FAULT that I will pay more than the contract amount says, NOT THE COMPANY! It’s all really very simple, pay exactly what your payment is on you exact due date every month (not even 1 day before or 1 day after and not a penny more not a penny less), then I will pay back what my contract states. If I pay more than the minimum due and make sure I’m not paying late, I will be able to save myself some money in the long run. Last option would be the pay later than my contracted payment date (no matter if it’s 1 time or 36 times it will still have the same effect just the more you do it the more extreme the outcome will be) and only pay the minimum payment or not much over that, I will then be paying back more than what the contract states. Bottom line, pay you bills and if you’re having trouble then don’t be blaming the company for something that they already informed us on.

This company is a joke. When you pay off your loan they tell you one thing and do another. I was told after I paid off my loan I would receive my title in the mail after 10 days. Then receive a letter dated for Aug 18th and now being told my title will not be ready to pick up from motorvehicle agency after sept 15th. And I paid my loan off on aug the 5th. Ridiculous if you ask me would never ever refer anybody to this company

I just received a call from a representative and she was very unprofessional, telling me if I don't make a payment "now" it could affect my current loan. The owner / manager of this place really needs to get on their staff. Stay professional, be polite, be curteous.

Miguel was my contact person he was friendly, professional and not pushy. The title loan was streamlined nicely and the whole process was relatively easy. I had funds in hand within 24 hours it would of been faster had I submitted all necessary documents sooner.

This company is a modern day loan shark. They charge high interest, administration fees and poor customer service My balance showed 0, yet they sent me a letter threatening to repo my vehicle, for administration fees. They said I still owed another $560. I repeatedly asked for an amortization and to date, I still haven't received one. They once repo my truck, I had the money the same day, however, I had to wait a week to get my car back. ABSURD!! This company needs to be dissolved. I would not recommend this Wilshire Consumer Credit for a loan, even in dire emergency!!!!

BEWARE!!!!! This company is so sneaky and a rip off. This was the same company that helped me finance my car from the dealership just a different name Westlake/Wiltshire I paid off my loan from dealership with a couple late payments in the two year span and when I got a car title loan through them it was extremely high interest rate. I was 34 days late on a second payment during the car title loan period(the first was 45-50 days late). I told them I was going to pay the full amount of loan the following day on the phone. That night they came and repossessed the truck charging me over 1500 to get it out so I was no longer able to pay off balance. They didn’t repossess after 45-50 days late but when I tell them I am paying it off they do?!!! Pretty shady. After that I was very upset and told them I wasn’t going to pay until they agreed to give credit for repossession fees which they never did so I never paid. They came and repossessed again and gave me no credit for the truck towards the remaining balance which was more BS so I have been stuck with a negative credit report for there improper handling of business. Also found out they were sued for this same reason and had to payout settlements. Horrible company don’t use!!!

This is the worst and most disrespectful company I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve had my vehicle repossessed which is my fault but then they want to charge me double what I borrowed. They informed me that my vehicle was sold then I find out it was never registered for 3 years and I’m paying penalties fees for it. Now I’ve tried to contact them but they never answer. I’m filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I’m going to contact a Veterans group to assist me in getting the information. Do not deal with this company.

I wish I could write a good review of this company. They refuse to release my title that is paid off. They said it takes a month and a half to get a title. Please do yourself a favor and don't do business with this company. They are a fraud and scam company

Here is a good example of how this business lies, look at there response they say they are sorry and want me to contact them thats a joke thats all i have done is complain, email, call and all i got in return was attitude and lies I even tried to reach vp and vice vp i got no response I paid off my loan 3 weeks ago they charges 258.00 to my acct and lied about it I cant even get them to contact the credit bureaus to show as paid off and why do i have to call them if they are sorry they have my number because they could care less

Wilshire Consumer Credit is the worst company that I have ever had to deal with. I had a loan with them, and was paying $14 extra per month just to pay off the loan faster. In November I ran into some health issues and was $16 short on my payment. WCC started calling me 10-15 times a day, including Sunday. I spoke with them and informed them of the situation and that I would be paying off the loan. I got the information on the pay off and a check was sent out 12/10. They received and cashed the check on 12/18 then on 12/19 they repossessed my vehicle. Every customer service rep I spoke with was extremely rude and several hung up on me. They refused to give me any information on where my car was even just so that I could get my work badge and kids’ Christmas presents. Even though they repoed the car illegality, they refused to return my vehicle or my money. After fighting with them for days, missing work and my son missing school, I was left with no other option than to pay the repo. I sent them the payment of $430 in the form they required and after they confirmed that they have received it, they said they didn’t have any info in my vehicle and to call back Monday. I work weekends and this is the last weekend before Xmas!!!! They are crooks and have no sense of company/consumer relations.

Wilshire Credit is the best. My Saturn didn't qualify in the loan category for a title loan but they worked around it and they got me my loan. Wilshire Goes up and beyond to help you out.. When I lost my job they worked around it and they help me out. The agent Miguel Ortega Was very Polite and professional and he worked wonders for me. So I just wanna say without you Wilshire credit or Miguel Ortega I would be lost. So if anybody needs a loan Wilshire credit is the place to go.

I never applied for this loan and now it's on my credit report. I'm trying to refinance my house and now I can't do to this fraudulent claim. What else can I do

Getting the loan was easy, although they took 2+ hours, they did they paper work and told my dad what all the fees would be for. The customer service rep (David Rojas) was awesome on that initial day, we got the loan, and paid it off a month later. The problem started after the loan was paid, when we initially took out the loan the customer service rep told us we would have our title back after 7-30 days of the loan being paid. We paid and one month passed nothing, two months nothing, three nothing, so we ended up calling them. We called on Wednesday February 27, 2019 we called and their operator (Eduardo) told us to call My Title Support, which he didn't know the hours for, but did provide the number. So that following Friday we called My Title Support, where they let us know that Wilshire Consumer Credit was still holding our title due to it not being paid off, for which we were taken aback because we had a confirmation number for the pay off. We had to call back to Wilshire were we once again talked to an operator who had no idea what he was doing. We were told that they did send the pay off letter to My Title Support so they were responsible for us not receiving our title, when we told them we had already called and talked to them and the let us know that Wilshire didn't send anything they "doubled checked". The operator said they did all they had to, maybe we had moved, we told them we had not, so they blamed our neighbors, to which I asked, " wouldn't you think that if my neighbors had my mail after 3 months they'd say something?". The operator then was very condescending and said "you can go on My Title Support and pay a $41 fee to request a duplicate of your title", my dad was upset at that point because he paid all those fees when he got the loan, at least that's what David explained and the contract said. So then the operator said "fine I'll send you a pay off letter, and you can do what you feel needed", he emailed the letter and said that's all he could do, so we told them if we couldn't get our problem fixed we would find other means of fixing it. We ended up printing the pay off letter and went to the DMV a week later, where they told my dad there was no need for him to go, Wilshire had sent the pay off letter 3 days before. We lost time and almost lost our title, make sure to ask for representative's names and keep all confirmation numbers. Long story short, WILSHIRE'S GOAL IS TO KEEP YOUR MONEY AND YOUR CAR, BEWARE AND USE WITH CAUTION!!

They are the absolute worst company to do any kind of business with. My interest rate shot through the roof and wasn't anywhere close to what it was said to be. I lost my job and my business during covid. They did nothing to help. Now I'm getting letters telling me they are going to exercise their right by law to get their money. You can't even pay the loan down because the interest rate is ridiculous and they will not put money you pay where you want it. I have said I wanted payments going straight to principal and no interest and that never happened they are the absolute worst. I will be having my account gone over and see if there is any funny business. Every other company I dealt with through my hard time gave me more than enough help and understanding about the whole situation going on in the world and my own unfortunate situation. Would never recommend anyone.

This company is the most ridiculous company I have ever had to work with. We have a contract that shows specific payments and they continue to call saying we are late when they received the amount through automatic..what make it worse is when they call you asking for more money, they then see that it is their system flaw and incorrect amount after viewing the contract AND STILL have not fixed it.

After talking with 2 customer service representatives that didn't assure me of my questions and they didn't seem very confident with the answers they provided, I spoke with Miguel Ortega. Miguel answered all of my questions confidently and explained everything clearly .He certainly put my mind to rest. Miguel was polite, understanding, and had excellent customer service!

I applied for a title a loan with this company and they declined but still put themselves as the lien holder on my car. Trying to get my title back was the worst experience ever. I had to wait weeks for them to give it to me and still waiting to this day. I will never use this company again and will tell everyone I know to never use them because they are garbage. This company should not have put themselves on my title until I was approved but yet they did anyway. They did everything electronically but everything has to be mailed back when that is not how they done it. So the customer service here was very bad and unprofessional.

This place, Wilshire Consumer, honest to GOD, uses third party companies that they own also, e.g. “HT RECOVERY” to cause you the title loan receiver to forfeit your vehicle. DO NOT TAKE A LOAN FROM WILSHIRE CONSUMER THEY WILL FRAUDULENTLY SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR CAR AND LOAN. I had to call the POLICE on them. Literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. During the time that I had my loan there were MULTIPLE times where the company magically had a problem processing the payments that I called in (causing fees to accrue). I repeatedly would call in with questions and when the representatives were presented with questions that they could not answer, the phones disconnected and I had to call in again. Lastly, I have had my loan paid off for over a month and my credit report is still showing my balance from February. I have received the pay off letter and yet it's still reflecting and affecting my score over a month later. This company is detestable and I would not recommend them to anyone. The reps are hit and miss (some were exceedingly pleasant and were great to deal with, but it was more of a surprise than a standard). Multiple payment issues, and a complete lack of clarity when detailed questions were answered. Now I've still got these people on my credit report over a month after they have been paid, with no reporting whatsoever showing since February of this year. There is no excuse for this. Use another loan service if you must turn to a title loan. This particular company is a nightmare to deal with.

Right off the get go, we got started on the wrong foot. After being hospitalized for 5 days that very evening I got home....My car was getting towed. I was not even 2 months behind, and I had the money to pay the bill right then. And I was suppose to be recovering Dr's orders. It was a nightmare. Then I did not get the car back until the following week. It was a cat and mouse game for sure. Then come to find out you are charged interest daily according to your credit score. Which one do they use, Trans Union ect. Have they worked with me since then. Yes they have. My point is---do your research first. Read the fine print even though who understands that jargon. I still have many questions unanswered that I would love to get resolved.

Our home burned down and we had to wait a few months before we received our insurance money. It was a 5 year and we paid over $1,500, never 1 day late. At payoff we owed $7 MORE THAN THE INITIAL LOAN! I called and they gave a breakdown of all these extra fees they neglected to explain. They blatantly lied and we paid loan shark fees. Please, if you have any other option AT ALL, take it. Swallow your pride if you must, ask someone, don't sign a contract with them

Really bad experience. I would recommend to anyone, not to ever use this company. It took me 4 months to get my title back. They don't send you your title. You have to go to DMV and wait in that long line. I was 2 weeks late and they repossessed my vehicle. They will not work with you. Cost me an extra $500 to get my truck back.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with so far. I was making timely payments monthly and yesterday when I went to check my credit score saw that Wilshire credit had closed my account and claimed that my vehicle was repossessed. I called them immediately and was transferred and hung up on three different times and spent a total of two hours on the phone trying to get an explanation. I personally feel that one of the employees took my personal info such as social, and other private information and used it to open their own account because the information they gave me is making no sense whatsoever. I talked to a supervisor named Richard who gave me such a difficult time and for some reason he kept telling me he was going to give me the number for identity theft, and it actually took him twenty minutes to even give it to me. He kept trying to dissuade me from calling them and it was such a terrible terrible experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone and if you feel like your account and personal information has been compromised call the identity theft line right away as I believe that someone from their company is illegally using customer information

Last view was scathing this is an update. Second time around I was offered a much better payment. Went from 1 star to a 4 star. Paid $235 per month last time this time its like $110. I also plan to pay it off when I get my updated tax return from the feds. Thanks guys for giving me another chance.

This company is horrible!! DO NOT TAKE ALOAN FROM THIS COMPANY!!! 6 days ago I paid off the balance, or so I thought. The balance stated zero online and @no amount due”. Then I started getting calls from them but no messages left. I called and they said I owe $132.19, even though the home page online says that I owe “$0.00”. I looked at the online account history which nows says I owe $56. I asked for an accounting to show what I owe. They sent me an accounting saying I owe $55. They then emailed me the same day a letter saying my payoff balance amount is $132.19 but they gave no accounting as to why the payoff amount differs from the online balance. This company charges exorbitant interest rates. And if if you are a few days late with a payment, they call several times a day every day. If you answer and say I can’t pay today but I can pay in a week, they threaten to repossess the vehicle. They will repossess if you are 30 days late. This company is not ethical. Don’t do business with them!!! They lack transparency. I have had loans before and the amount due is exactly what is shown on the account balance online. If they say call to find out your payoff balance, the reason to call is because the payoff amount is less due to a reduction in interest. But with Wilshire Consumer Credit,, the payoff amount is higher than the balance shown on the online account balance or paper statements. Don’t get involved with them!!!!

These people will add fees on to your account and refuse to tell u what they are from or give you and proof these fees are owed! After I paid my loan off i was told I had 1,100 in fees when questioned I was told I needed to pay the fees I was then told they would reinstate my loan for theses bogus fees and charge me more fees! They sent me paperwork which I did sign and returned as well as I made the payment they demand I pay on November 13, 2018 well on December 13, 2018 I received a letter that my fees doubled to 2,400 for no reason and when questioned they repossessed my car! There is a class action suit started against them with Top Class Action so please make sure u file a claim there as well! Also there is a claim filed against them with the CFPB and the BBB so make sure we follow up with these claims. I am military so also speaking with the Jag to see what else can be done.
