Amazing service and experience. We had an emergency on a road trip. The Ford dealership could not work us in right away and thankfully suggested we call Wilhelm. The staff generously waited for our truck to arrive by tow that evening and diagnosed the issue first thing the next morning. They explained our options, got the parts and quickly got us back on the road as scheduled. Everything is operating great, and we are so grateful! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and capable throughout. Highly suggested. Thank you!

Jim was very helpful and courteous. I was initially told that I needed a replacement wheel bearing from another automotive establishment, so I brought it to Wilhelm because the offered a better rate. After examining my vehicle, they determined my wheel bearing to be solid and in no need of replacement. Quick alignment later and my car is driving great. Refreshing to find a place that doesn’t try and coerce you into unnecessary work. Will definitely come back.

Went to Wilhelm auto repair because my check engine light came on. They were very knowledgeable and thoroughly inspected my car. They found the problem and fixed my car to my satisfaction. The gentleman in the office are very friendly and helpful!!

Another quick less than 12 hour turn around. Oil change and new tire with warranty. Warranty is actually really good for only $25 and 3 years of coverage. They cover your lyft rides to and from the shop as well. Couldn't ask for a more reliable mechanic and service. Thanks Wilhelm!

They will order a lyft to get you back home free of charge, they replaced clutch in 3 days without an appointment. All staff were excellent. They called as soon as it was ready. They are what everyone hopes for when choosing a place to have repair work done.

I have taken several cars to Wilhelm and they have always diagnosed and fixed quickly and for a reasonable price. Recently my newest used car was having an overheating issue. The dealership was unable to accurately diagnose after several lengthy visits. Within an hour a Wilhelm mechanic was able to identify the hole in my engine and I was advised to take back to dealer for a warranty covered repair. The engine was replaced by the dealership. Thank you Wilhelm for providing expert mechanic and customer service.

The starter went out on my 1995 Buick Century. Mark helped arrange a tow service and get my car to their shop. Mark called me when they knew exactly what was wrong and the cost of the repair . I've been a happy customer of Wilhelm's in Litchfield Park since early 2000's. This was another positive experience with the company.

Mark helped me out with a diagnostic on my truck when my check engine light came on. I originally took it to autozone where they told me that I would need my turbo boost vacuum hose replaced. When I took it to Wilhelm they checked it out and said everything was fine and didn’t even charge me for the diagnostic. An absolutely great company and impeccable customer service. Would recommend them to anyone.

Great experience. Especially since I’ve been having bad experiences with other shops. Had my rack and pinions replaced.

I decided to use one of their coupons for a maintenance service. They did a Great job and no surprise! The staff explained every thing they were going to do to my car. Everything and Everyone was helpful and I will be back!

This repair shop does not check their work. I had a very expensive water pump replaced on my BMW about a year or so ago that started leaking coolant recently, so I took my car in since the part was covered under warranty. The paperwork shows that they replaced the part, but when I got home, coolant started leaking out all over my garage floor again right away, and the low coolant warning lights came on. On top of a very poor repair job, they charged me over $60 for coolant, and come to find out they used the wrong coolant! They are supposed to use the blue BMW coolant for BMWs and they do not.

My Kia Optima Hybrid stopped running and would not start. Wilhelm got to the problem and fixed it in a timely manner. Thank you.

Service and professionalism was outstanding, I was impressed at the fact that they offered me a lift to pick up my vehicle. They were able to explain to me (in layman terms) the problems and the resolution. For now, they definitely have a returning customer.

Always had good service and friendly people. The only negative is they are so busy it’s hard to get in without waiting at least a week. Also the last 2 times they had to keep the car multiple days because parts did not come in? Kind of a coincidence. Anyhow if the customer service was not as good as it is, I would go elsewhere but for now Wilhelm is still my first choice.

Used Wilhelm Auto on numerous occasions and have always been happy with the job done and the staff who are always polite and helpful.

They found a leak in the gas tank and found a new one and replaced it. They did a really good job finding the problem and repairing it and honored their estimate. Scott was awesome and so was everyone I spoke to. I would have no issues going back there for repairs.

I’ve been taking my car here for years now. Extremely good service every-time. Now, they used to have their own “shuttle” service to pick/drop you off while your car was being repaired, and it was awesome since it was their own driver. Nowadays they use LIFT and it’s not as personalized since every-driver is different. My LIFT ride today was very awkward and impersonal. Wish they get their own driver again.

Did some major repairs on my car in 2020. They did a great job. Excellent customer service which you don't see very often these days. I went in this week with a headlight out and it was fixed at no charge! That never happened when I took it to the dealer. Thank you!

Absolutely the best experience I've ever had with a shop! I was delt with in an honest and respectful manner. The technician there kept me in the know on every detail of what needed to be repaired and why it needed replacing. This was my third experience with this particular Wilhelm location and if there were a better rating than 5 stars I would without a doubt hands down give it to them! The pricing is fair and honest, they stand by their work and not once tried to upsell me. The turn around time is lightning fast! If you are looking for a shop to keep as a one stop get it right shop Wilhelm Automotive IS the place! Try them, you WON'T be disappointed!!!

They will rob you blind! Never wrote a bad review but i could not stay quiet. My car did not want to pasa emissions and they quoted me $2500 to replace almost every component to pass. Took it to Ken's automotive and they cleaned the MAF sensor and it passed emissions. $50 service not $2500.

This was a wonderful experience. Everyone was so nice and answered all of my questions and concerns. Loved all the coupons on the site too. I will be taking my car here for all of its maintenance from now on.

I had to bring my car from another shop and from the moment my car arrived Mark was in contact with me giving me updates and telling me the best way to go about getting things done. Unfortunately the issue needs to be addressed by the manufacturer and it will have to be towed out. But the work they did was quick and the advice was even better. As a young lady, going to a mechanic shop is typically very frustrating due to never having anything explained or my concerns being brushed off for my gender. Went in this Business to get a quote to have a a ful pump replaced. They couldn't even give me a simple quote for a fuel pump replacement and the fuel pump wire to be shortened to standard something I made the mistake of it extending about 6 months ago and I couldn't get a simple quote for it and the guy was rude don't do business here

Definitely a place to take your car for a great price. Depending on what it is they won't charge a dime! (Ex. Swapping lug nuts, etc.)

Blend door would not function properly. Wilhelm diagnosed the problem and re-calibrated the function. Everything works now.

Remarkable Customer Care I recently had a problem of overheating with my Subaru Forester and took my vehicle in to the Litchfield Wilhelm shop to find out what was wrong. To my delight, I was told it was only a malfunctioning radiator cap which they replaced. However, within days the car was again overheating. When I returned to the shop, they said it was the same problem. They had used an after-market replacement cap the first time, and this time they were using an original Subaru replacement. Sadly, within days, the problem again returned. This time, a more thorough inspection revealed a head gasket/warped head was the true culprit. Now many shops might have argued that this was the original problem, and I would now have to pay to have the head milled to correct it (about a $4000 job) … or … could it have been corrected with only a head gasket replacement if recognized in the first place?? To their credit and honor, Wilhelm chose the high road, and did the additional work at no charge to me. I did not have to go through any arguments, finger-pointing, or stress. Each time I was able to get same day service. The staff is professional, courteous, and, they actually listened to my description of the issue I was having and it. Very fair pricing also. Took my car in to have headlight fixed and also had oil change. I was called a few hours later and told the light worked just fine after diagnosed by technician, in my phone conversation I once again mentioned I drive the car every night so I know for a fact is does not function. After picking up my vehicle I once again checked the headlight just to confirm that it was still in-op, I have always had great service except for this visit a little disappointed.
