I was not receiving help in terms of trying to make my payments easier. Instead, they tried to make me pay over $1000 a month and rising annually. This is also not including the monthly debited amount they charged me. I called to cancel and the representative was rude and aggressive. He also hung up on me. Needless to say, I will Never go to them again. Total scam and very unprofessional. Steer clear

I called and emailed in to cancel my subscription and debt of my account since I had to call in to fed loan services and get my monthly rate adjusted to a lower, more affordable amount after recertification. A month after I canceled I still received an email stating they would be removing funds from my account for another monthly payment. I again called in to ask why I was still in the system for debits. They apologized and said they would fix it. Then a day later they went in my account. I again called and was apologized to and told that they would refund the money. It took them 7 whole days to return the money that they should've NEVER took in the first place.

If only you can give places and companies like this one a negative star review. I was working with this company to go to for my student loan, paid them 250 dollars to to over my account and let and behold they took my money and cancelled my account and sent it to another company. Called them about why my account went to someone else and not you WBG they said that I still needed to pay 250 dollars and I never paid it. Not one phone from these people stating I needed to make another 250 dollar payment. I then asked if I can have my 250 dollars back since my account is not with them anymore and the lady said sorry we closed your account and cant issue a refund! So where did my money go then? Stay far away from this company!!

I've been calling for the past 2 years to figure out why am I paying $19 a month I still have yet to receive an answer but they're still taking my money in my money this place is a SCAM!!!!!

Don't fall for it. I've been paying 35.00 a month for almost two years. I reached out to Federal loan Services. No money was paid on my student loans. Western Benefits group argued with me that they are only a service company but when you call the number it says were here to help with your CONSOLODATION. They told me they don't consolidated. SCAM. SCAM.

I called them and told them i got on a new student loan forgiveness program for the totally permanently disabled people and they told me they put me on that program 3 years ago no they didn't. I got approved for the totally permanently disabled program last month. So western benefits group did not put me on it. They said that next month I will end up paying $600 in December. I even read the approval letter i got from nelnet. For the totally permanently disabled people. When I got approved.

This place is totally a scam. They charge you $35 per month and tell you they are enrolling you in a student loan forgiveness program. After making the payments for 2 years I found out that I had never been enrolled in the federal student loan forgiveness program that you can sign up for on your own.

SCAM! This place has charged me $35 a month for their "services" which are supposed to include completing the paperwork and getting it to my loan provider in order for me to be in a student loan forgiveness program. They have done NOTHING and it's been a year. I only found out because I called my loan provider with a question, and was told I am not on any such plan. So the payments I have been making for the last year have not counted.

A “Middle Man” company. You will pay upfront “service fees” and monthly “service fees” for them to talk to your creditor. They will perform nothing special that you can perform on your own with your creditor. They are not a loan service nor a debit consolidation company. Border line, fraudulent company that will take your money, enroll you in their benifits package. They will work with your creditor to get you on a repayment plan, that you can work out with your creditor yourself. Plus, you will still be paying the original creditor. My experience; 6 months later, minus $600+, nothing paid toward my student loans and accrued interest on the student loans. Don’t learn the hard way like myself.

I hired WBG to do loan consolidation like everyone else did. In the beginning it was good. I started getting emails from Fed student loan saying my payment was late, when I finally called WBG about the emails I been getting, come to find out Fed Student Loan is whom consolidated my loans... I called Fed Student Loan and spoke with someone that told me I been had. WBG didnt do anything for me that I couldnt do I my own. With the same payment, same interest rate. They told me that they wouldnt give a third party more of an interest reduction than they would give the individual. And... was advised not to pay the 35.00 a month service fee. That the service fee is to act on my behalf. And if I have the time to call WBG I have the time to call FSL and get it done myself.. So just like everyone else I was bent over the counter and rammed for 550 bucks with no lube. But I'm keeping my 35.00 a month for 20 years in my pocket.. And since WBG will read this, Yall should be ashamed of taking advantage of good hard working people. Charging people 550 dollars and then 35.00 x 20 years for doing something they can do on there own. What yall are doing should be illegal. I am going to call a lawyer and see what can be done because robbery is illegal and I want my 550 bucks back and all the $35 payments I sent to you Crooks!
