Went to west town jewelry after looking at lots of different sites and reviews. Was met by Gabe the owner and he brought me to the back and went through all my coins and a few pieces of jewelry i had to sell. Explained what everything was and its worth. Made me an offer that was more than i expected, the whole experience was great and quick. Also brought my watch collection in and he installed batteries. Very professional, as well as friendly. Highly recommend West town jewelry for all your jewelry, watch, pawn or selling needs. Would give 6 stars if i could. Ask for Gabe , for honest, friendly service.

I went to West Town Jewelry & Loan having done my homework and determined not to be taken advantage of when selling a gold ring that I had. Gabe, the owner inspected it and gave a quick rundown of current market value & how much he was able to offer. I was pleasantly surprised that his offer fell into the higher end of what I hoped to get for the piece. On top of that, he was friendly and pleasant to interact with. This was my first time selling any type of jewelry and I expected the experience to be akin to dealing with a car dealer - a shell game of numbers and fees. Glad to say that it was transparent & without any stress.

Gabe was incredibly friendly and helpful, and walked me through all of the steps of evaluating and pricing the items with total transparency. The prices were fair and based on the up-to-the minute market value of the metals, and I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of the transaction. Additionally, Gabe generously took the time to appraise a set of antique silverware so that I could put it up on eBay, and wrote out a sample template of the way that he would approach posting the listing. Gabe is super professional, is really contentious about establishing trust in the transaction, and I would certainly do business with him in the future.

I was looking for a buy and sell Jewelry store as I didn't have good experiences of other places in Chicago, so when I read all the great reviews, I just had to check this place out. I called and spoke to Gabe (the owner) and indicated that I had some misc gold jewelry, old watches, and other oddities that I was looking to sell that if he bought any of these items. He told me to bring them in and he would give me a fair evaluation of my items. To make a long story semi-short, a family member and I checked out his store about an hour after I called. It's no lie, this man is a great. He is very down to earth and explains the worth of your items and the techniques he uses to give you the best value for your items. It was quiet when we first arrived, and soon after customers started coming in and it got really busy. Since we were not in a hurry and had several items for him to review, he attended to his other customers first then came back to us very quickly. He was very thorough in checking the items and told us what each item was worth. He also gave us some really good tips that others in this business don't do at all. I was able to sell my gold jewelry at a great price and received more than what I was expecting. The reviews are correct! I did my research on all pricing of my Rolex, antique sterling flatware set and old jewelry. On my way I stopped at a estate buying store to see what they would appraise my items at. The price was fair, but not what I wanted. I went to West Town Jewelry this Saturday to see what price they were willing to pay. When I arrived I was greeted by Gabe the owner in this beautiful store. The store has nice Jewelry and a wonderful winding staircase. Gabe greeted me with a smile and was very enthusiastic and excited to appraise my items. He was very low pressure and explained everything in great detail. Gabe himself is a Rolex collector and fan. He gave me the the prices he was willing to pay. I was extremely happy because besides getting an education on Rolex watches, he gave me more money than I had in mind. Gabe was very professional and made the whole process easy and stress free. I came to west town jewelry this Saturday based on all the terrific google and yelp reviews. I wanted to see for myself if it was true or not. I had my mother’s sterling silver flatware and tableware and also a lot of my families old jewelry. I came in to the store that was really nice and clean and waited as there was a person that was a regular customer in front of me. I sat down in this comfortable leather chair and listened. Gabe as on a first name basis with this regular customer and they were done with the transaction and talking about their kids. I really like what I heard because it was like a real family operated shop that paid attention to detail and remembered names. Gabe explained everything up front and put me at ease. He explained value and how he was paid. He has been in this business for over 20 years and as I could tell was a real expert. I stayed for over an hour! The man educated me on current market conditions and also told me what my items were worth. He was upfront, not fake and was honest. I ended up selling all of my items. I will definitely be back! He paid me very close for my jewelry, but the reason for this review is because of he unbeatable customer service and expertise. I wish there was ore businesses like this.

Based on the great reviews I read on google and yelp I decided to go to west town jewelry. The owner Gabe greeted me with a smile and was very happy, inviting and enthusiastic. I did my research so I knew what Was going on and I knew all about the gold market as I am investing personally. Gabe really showed me that he is an expert in his field. He showed me the exact market price of gold and even showed me what he gets for it. By the way it is what I thought it should be. He has an ex ray machine that is very cool. The machine shows you the exact carat and also shows silver and anything else the jewelry is made of. He then shows me the scale. I have read of businesses not showing you the scale. He added everything up and then checked out my diamonds. I had a lot of jewelry that I sold him. I am not a person that usually like going into shops to sell items, but it was an amazing pressure free experience. I truly felt like I’ve known him for years. Great business, great customer service and great location. I will be back with my aunt next week.
