    The way that West Town Bank and Trust does business, just makes sense! Their departmentalization, processes, and most importantly STAFF are all first class. They are the only bank of hundreds that was able to assist me with obtaining an SBA Loan. I would not hesitate to do business with them again, or refer my friends, family, and colleagues to them.     We were referred to Caroline Maultsby by a friend who is an expert in loan closings in Brunswick County, NC. Caroline Maultsby took our info on my introductory call and with a few texts, emails and a couple calls, we were approved. By far the easiest, stress-free loan process we've ever been involved in.     I just have checking and savings here and nothing else. The people have been great to me. Actually above and beyond in a couple of situations. I use to live in Riverside but moved to Indiana. I still bank here as my husband still works in IL. In my opinion this is a good bank for checking and savings. Great employees, very personable and knowledgeable. Been with them since they opened in North Riverside.

    Simply wow... I am not sure if it is the bank and that's the kind of people they attract or it is just this one rep, but I am just speechless at the level of unprofessionalism that I've experienced today. I have never felt so belittled by a bank rep before, that is supposed to be helpful and educate about financial questions. I mean where else are we supposed to get this info from? I received a call this morning from WestTown Bank rep named "Matt" in response to my inquiry about a business loan that we are looking to get at one point. The whole conversation started out nice and he was very helpful at first. . . Asked about our business and such and then we got to the "do you know your personal credit" question. Now, I know my credit is not great right now due to some issues the wife and I faced and I am realistic enough to not expect anything much from this right now. Outside of the loan itself, my thought were "hey, if I won't get the loan, which I probably won't, at least I will know what needs to be done and what the requirements are. As I am new to this program." You would think that a bank would be the best place to get that kind of information from, right? WRONG!!! Or at least at this bank. . . As soon as he found out that my credit is below their "policy minimum" he completely changed and said that at West Town, that is a hard stop for them. Which is, you know, fine. Bank has to protect its investments and they have their way of making money. That is all fine. BUT when I tried to ask a follow-up question, he just cut me off and said "you know, we can't help you and I have another call I need to take. Good luck." and just hung up. Didn't even listen to anything else. As soon as he found out that he can't make a quick comision off me right there and then, basically said I am a waste of his time. I do not recommend contacting West Town if you are not a PERFECT borrower, from whom the reps can make a quick comision on the spot. OR if you are just calling to get information on what programs they offer and what their qualifications are for those programs. That is unless you want to be cut off and be told that you are a waste of their time.

    The SBA application process is complete, and we received our SBA loan. Yeah! The support we received from the bank employees was superb. Most of time we worked Robert Fursland. Rob was there for us; quickly answering our questions, giving us suggestions, and listening when we were frustrated. Being a small business not familiar with application processes, someone like Rob is necessary to help complete the loan process. Thank you to Rob and all at West Town.     The worst bank in this area. The worst customer service. They make up "rules" according to some employees and the assistant manager is so rude!!! I only go there because is the bank used at my job (small company) and the bank don't even offer direct deposit to it. I went using the drive through to do some transactions (that I do every other week) and she couldn't do it because she needs to be able to see me with a mask on (her words) Now I know why there's only 2 branches of this bank!!!

    DO NOT GO TO THIS BANK !! THE STAFF ARE SO INCOMPETENT. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, OBNOXIOUS. IGNORANCE BEYOND BELIEF !!!! EVEN THOUGH THE OWNER RESPONDED TO MY REVIEW AND SHOWED CONCERNED. DON'T BE MISGUIDED BY THIS. THE OTHER REVIEWS REVEAL THE SAME CONCERN. YET THE PROBLEMS STILL EXIST. I BELIEVE THEY WILL FIND WAYS TO UNDERMINE YOUR FINANCES AND RIP YOU OFF. IF THE OWNER REALLY CARED HE WOULD'VE GAVE YOU HIS DIRECT LINE TO DISCUSS THIS SERIOUS MATTER!!!!
